The knife would've probably been easier to handle if it's screwed onto the handle of the cane instead of the long tube.

2 things the other "saw" is a scythe. Used to cut grass. Or folded as a pick. The next is the sections should have little picture of each tool on them.

The folding saw is more of an ice axe for climbing or pulling yourself up.

I’ve had this walking stick for a couple years now and it’s my go to for hiking/backpacking, super durable. The knife just needs a good sharpening and your good.

Dude he did so bad testing this because he missed the most important test. The old man test, see how it would hold as an actual cane if an old man used it.

seems a little gimicky, but in some situations i can see it being worth bringing along. theres not a lot you can do with that that you cant do with a well made multitool and a tree, but in an environment without any available branches, you might be glad to have this. also, i think the first not very good saw might have been for cleaning fish or for use on softer materials than a 2x4

So glad you did this review ! I was stuck between purchasing the survival cane or the survival crutch , totally know Wich one I'm getting now!

The "saw" you said was worse looks more like an ice pick

So, I've owned one for about a year and I find it pretty useful. I'd consider it a walking stick more than a cane as it is fairly heavy and as others have said if you need a cane to walk you probably aren't going to be spear hunting in the bush. I've seen video of someone doing chin ups on one without compromising the structural integrity, but being sectioned it has it's limits. I have repositioned a section to one end of the crossbar to create a monopod resting seat when standing in an amusement park line and it worked well. I also packed dryer lint in the section with the ferro rod to use as tinder, had the straight edge ground to a thinner, sharper profile, put an 8' hank of 550 cord in the empty section, and an 18" (ish) roll of 1" duct tape behind the glass breaker cuz you never can tell.

This dude is funny, it's not that he tries to be funny it's the way he goes about his videos that just makes you laugh cuz he just does random stuff and he doesn't "stage" his videos, he just goes with the flow. And somehow half the time when he's reviewing something he ends up thinking " you know you could beat someone with this" just randomly out of the blue when it doesn't have anything to do with what he's reviewing. I love channels like that where it's just random and funny.

Saw blade folds to become a sickle/scythe. The 2nd item you described isn't a saw blade, it's a fish scaler.

Great little item pretty! But may I give a piece of advice that knife with the saw on the top isn't made for what you where doing trying to widdle. It's for making shavings to use the ferro rod to have kindling to spark a fire! I see this cane can have a purpose in the survival world! I mean think about it not only young guys and girls like survival and hiking. Older people do also! Like for instance say a older man or women has to use a cane to get around but they also love the outdoors well a cane like this would be great for them. That's just my opinion though! The little saw blade, the one that bends and locks is used for climbing in snow, like up a steep mountain. I think that's its purpose.

The saw hook can be useful for climbing ice in a ice environment

I believe the saw with small teeth should be a metal saw. You can saw thin sheet metal or maybe a nail/screw in a board. Wood saws are always big teeth. Metal saws are fine teeth. 👍

5:15 it's an ice axe. Hence why it wasn't very good at going through wood

I honestly think the curved saw might be a gut knife for fish. It *does* come with the spear and if it was serrated, that would descale fish, and the curved blade would help gut

The pointy curved blade is for ice cutting n you can curve it angled to chip ice

The curve blade is probably for cutting open fish or a small animal like a rabbit you hunted. It can also be used to cut fruit or veggies and stuff

I doubt he could catch a dead animal with those skills😂

Pretty sure the first "saw" is fish de-scaler and fillet blade combo. And could be used as a pick, I guess, since it locks at 90 degree angle.

turning the saw sideways with that button turns it into an ice pick for either climbing or breaking open holes in ice to fish or what have you. I doubt it would be strong enough for climbing since it's just a locking button though
