Would be nice to see demonstrated the difference between strong and weak acids/bases. Sufficient amounts of a weak acid/base will act as a buffer. Edit: actually, I see you already made it! :) Nice!
We don’t drink water to neutralize the acid in our stomach. Isn’t that what pepto bismol and stuff like that is for. I use a mix of lemon, baking soda and salt when my stomachs acting up.
There is a trend for believers of alternative medicine (its pretty close to healing crystals) that it can heal and cure you of pretty much any disease. Obviously they are not allowed to advertise that (as it is complete bs anyway) but there are ppl who deeply believe in that and use it every day.

There are some people that belive that it does magical shit like cure cancer, MMS but water pretty much, and these people know very little about chemistry pobably (some people ig thinks citric acid is acidic, but turns alkaline in your stomach, so you can add lemon juice to make water alkaline, like wtf?)
Yes, but your body is not plastic bottle, If you drink something you should test your urine, because If you put the lemon and cucumber into water and left it over night it will still be more acidic but the more important thing is how it behaves in your body.
It can be true, but I tested alkaline water (lemons and cucumber in water over night) on my self and my urine was somewhere about 8 ph , and after I drink beer it was about 6 ph , I understand that it can be different from person to person. @@TommyTechnetium
So in other words, it still gets a low pH. That's why alkaline water can't reach in your bodey to improve anything. Let's be honest, all you get by drinking this is some salt, because that's what happens when you mix base with acid, you get salt. So, nothing special with this water.
How did the slightly alkaline water (one which became green) become less acidic than the alkaline water (one which became people)? It seems counterintuitive as the more alkaline water must have higher pH than the less alkaline water after adding the acid.
Recall there is a difference between the concentration of a base and the strength of a base. A 0.01 M solution of NaOH has a pH 12, while a 1 M solution of ammonia (Kb = 0.000018) has a pH of 11.6. Therefore, the NaOH solution has more hydroxide but less base overall
Could it be that the benefits that people claim to have from drinking alkaline water come from the minerals it contains, possibly magnesium? I heard that alkaline water tends to have more magnesium and also that most people are deficient in magnesium... It could be correcting or attenuating this deficiency 🙄
I just looked up how much magnesium is in Essentia water, and they report 0.1 mg per liter. The US RDA for magnesium is about 350 mg per day for adults. So one would need to consume 3500 L of Essentia water per day for this claim to be legit...at least with Essentia water

Water can indeed be alkaline, it just won't ever contain enough "alkalinity" to do anything for your body - and that's a good thing. You don't want to go messing with the pH of your bloodstream
My PhD advisor used to tell me that 90% of all the problems you face in chemical research can be solved using your knowledge of general chemistry. I suggest you start by taking a general chemistry course, and keep studying this material until you feel you really understand it
