By request I'm taking a look at The Water Pillow by Mediflow. This pillow can be adjusted by adding or removing water. There's also a short Q&A at the end. I also mistakenly called my Nutribullet blender a Ninja, which is inexcusable on my part! Here's a short update 1 year later: • 10 Previously Reviewed...

100% True Story. I've been having a hard time with my pillows and I've tried just about any pillow you can imagine. They all seem to lose their form. Last night I was suffering from neck pain so bad and asked my wife "do you think there is such a thing as a water filled pillow?" Then I get a notification on my phone about this video and im like 😳

Have you tried the Tony Little pillow? I always had stiff neck and pain and constantly was getting that sharp pain behind my shoulder blade (usually the left). I got the original micro bead pillow he sold and I think in more than 12 years now, I’ve only had that shoulder blade pain twice and the neck pain once. I replaced the pillow once in that time and now he has a new style of it out which looks interesting.

Chiropractor here...like your review. I have this pillow in my practice and the main reason I recommend it is due to the ability to adjust the firmness. I do not recommend this pillow to anyone that is a predominant stomach sleeper. Obviously this does not apply to all stomach sleepers but I feel it is a very supportive pillow overall, even when set up "soft" and for stomach sleepers it will likely create more neck pain than alleviate it. You hit the pros and cons well and I share those with my patients. I did see one comment in regards to cats...if you have them and they sleep with you, do not get this pillow. Common sense definitely applies here! :-)

Hi, greetings! Could you give a medical suggestion, please? My back scalp heats up a lot, hence can't use natural cotton neither synthetic fibre not foam pillows. I have been using cotton towels rolled up. But they still heat up the back of scalp. The only advantage is that, the rest of my head gets air, unlike in a pillow ,where just as the back of head sinks in, the all-around head area is in contact with the pillow & heat stays trapped; not dissipated. Now, while I understand that water might help dissipate heat, but then, this water pillow will not help cool, because the water layer is in between 2 foam layers, which do not dissipate heat, My query thus, is-- will gel pillows alleviate this condition?

I'm on my second water pillow in about 15 years. Once I switched to these, I never looked back. I had major neck issues that disappeared after only 3 nights with my first water pillow. The trick is getting the exact thickness that's most comfy. I've found the padding stays pretty decent for the first 3-4 years and with some fluffing, you can get another couple of years out of it if properly cared for. I lost track of the money and amount of pillows I went through trying to find one that didn't kill my neck. I'll never take that for granted again. It's rough having to sleep away from home now because that neck pain comes creeping back. I'm a side sleeper so my arm is under the pillow and is indeed cool. That's sucks in the winter though lol

About 20 yrs. ago, I used a water pillow I bought at the Brookstone store. I loved it! Unlike this one, the water chamber was more in the middle of the pillow, so I could flip the pillow and use either side. Also, generally, the pillow stayed cool for long enough, & I could flip it when I needed it cool again. The pillow you’re demonstrating seems a little easier to fill than the one I had. I used mine for years until it somehow got a puncture in it. I could never find another water pillow again. I was glad to see you reviewing a water pillow, but this new model likely wouldn’t work for me, as I’m a very warm sleeper, particularly my head. Thanks for this review.

I slept on a water bed for near enough twenty years, but mine was a water tube design where it was just seven or eight long vinyl tubes that had to be filled individually and laid into the foam mattress form. It was a rather unique bed design, but a pain to maintain, as the tubes would occasionally develop leaks. I've yet to find any other bed that offers the kind of deformable support that a water bed can, but I also haven't been willing to spend $3k on one of the top of the line Temper-pedic all foam mattresses.

I"m glad you do pillow reviews. They may be the most important thing we all use every single day (night) and have the most difficulty getting right. I'm over 50 and I STILL have not found a pillow that makes me happy. Now, that being said- I would never feel comfortable with a water pillow on my bed or couch or anywhere else. One failure, one leak, and you're dealing with some serious damage issues to your furniture. And a ruined night of sleep. Plus, I like to bend and smash and flip my pillows when they get warm or flat. No way all that manipulation doesn't bust a water pillow. No thanks!

From watching your pillow reviews I knew we both slept the same way and liked our pillows soft and flatter. After watching this video and knowing my sleep number pillows that had done good for me after many years and needed replacing I went on a search for the beauty rest aqua cool. Got them from Walmart, and let them air, though I didn’t smell anything obnoxious, but followed the directions and your advise. From night one I have been thrilled with them! So worth it. Thanks for a good nights sleep.

I’ve used a water pillow for about 8-9 years and it’s still my favorite. As he describes in the video, the key is finding the right amount of water to get the firmness just right. The pillows usually last me 2-3 years before they need to be replaced because the cushioning eventually goes flat. I’ve never had a single leak with the 3 pillows I’ve had since I started using them.

All my life I had problems with headaches during sleep. It would last for about an hour after I got up and then be gone. About 15 years ago I tried the water pillow. That was the end of my headaches. This was awesome! The only other pillow that had ever helped was a $100.00 for a down pillow. However, that only lasted for about 2 weeks and the headaches were back. $200.00 a month for pillows is not in my budget. The water pillow keeps the headaches away for about 3 years, then I need to get a new one. In fact, I ordered one just before watching your video. I am going to try the gel toped one this time. It's back to the $100.00 price but if it lasts like the others, it's still worth it. Other than that, it is just a good quality pillow. However, if someone has problems with their pillows especially headaches, it's worth a try.
@ModernClassic

Definitely interested - I feel like it would provide better neck support than most pillows. Most pillows get pushed all the way down by your head so there's nothing under your neck, but this would probably displace the water to go under your neck for support. Incidentally, waterbeds basically worked the same way as this - I had a couple back in the day and really miss them. Good ones had large "dampers" that were essentially padding to keep you from sloshing around, but the water still provided perfect support right where you needed it - it was basically self-correcting support. Air mattress beds like the Sleep Number beds are the closest thing I've found to that feeling.

I used my first Flowbee for 25 years and finally had to replace it a few years ago. Haven't paid for a haircut in almost 30 years and I get compliments on my hair all the time. Best $80x2 I've ever spent. The key is you have to have a good vacuum that can suck up the hair properly or it just won't work right. I also waited to try the Flowbee until it was sold in stores so I could return it if it didn't work as advertised. The second one I purchased directly from the manufacturer off the internet. The first one still works, but the blades were dull and the housing was kinda disintigrating so it was time to replace the whole thing instead of just ordering new blades.

YES! Please do a review on the newer George Foreman Evolve grill with all the optional plates. I just picked one up but only the basic model and as much as I love it, the various options intrigue me. But I'd love to see you put it through the paces with the optional plates. The new grills have removable grill plates which makes it so much easier to clean, plus the main grill plates are coated with ceramic instead of Teflon and to say they are non-stick would be a massive understatement. I had to switch the grill to the level position to start cooking because the frozen hamburger patty I was cooking was just sliding right off the grill! Once the lid was down and cooking began, I flipped it back to the usual angle and the fat drained right off. By the way... if you come up to visit Canada, come to Montreal, not Toronto! Better restaurants, better events and better looking people, friendlier as well! I'll be happy to show you around or give you some tips on the best places to go while you are here. But not Toronto. Please. May as well remain in the US because that is what Toronto wants to be. LOL

I tried the as seen on tv Chillo that you fill with water then once activated (let sit out for 4 hours) put on top of your pillow or you put it inside the pillow case. Read the instructions wrong and learned that it didn’t need to be put in the refrigerator unless you wanted it colder. I loved it. I happened to have a migraine headache that night (had it since 11 p.m, the night before) as well as had a fever and legit fell asleep that night around 11 p.m. and when I woke up 3 1/2 hours later my migraine was gone and no longer had a fever.

I've had a waterbed since the early 1980's so a water pillow might be a good option for me. BTW you have to get used to sleeping on a waterbed and the firmness is different depending on the amount of water and the fiber layers or baffles if any. If you are a hot sleeper you might want to try a waterbed as you can adjust the amount of heat , if any, that you use so the bed can be quite cool up to about body temperature. Some find they get muscle aches with the heater completely off.
