Thank you thank you for comparing the 3x optical (14 pro) vs the 3x digital on the pro max! Many people assume that getting the 15 pro max will give you better zoom pictures across the board compared to the regular pro. This shows in fact you can save your money and get better pictures out of the pro if you often shoot in 3-4.9x zoom!
At last someone who has highlighted the colour rendition issue on iPhones I bought the 13pro from Apple and then demonstrated the colour issue in the Apple shop . They immediately replaced the entire camera module inside mine because they thought it had a fault . Made no difference . So so so many times the colours are just wrong entirely because of the computations Apple are using . Out there people say ..shoot in raw and fix in post . That’s not the point . The point is that Apple need to fix this . A chief culprit I believe is their smart hdr ..in older phones you could switch that off . Please Apple re enable that in newer phones I won’t upgrade my iPhone until Apple fix the colour rendition .
Thanks Colin. I’ve watched a few videos now regarding ‘photography’ on the iPhone 15 Pro, and I’m sticking with my 14 Pro Max. The updates are not warranted the upgrade costs right now. Maybe in the 16 or probably for me the 17 before I update again. Shame about the colour issues, hopefully enough people are now talking about it and they’ll actually address it.
That auto white balance is troublesome for macro. Any 3d party apps allow that to be turned off? I think I'll add a frame that includes a WhiBal grey card for reference in PS. Thaks for pointing this out!
I'm still using a 6s. Really the only reason I want to upgrade is for better battery life and bigger screen. I never use my telephone for photos and hate spending money on it. I'd rather spend money on something more fun like my pro camera, or computer, or a trip.
@@photoshopcafe The video mentions 3x or 5x optical zoom (the title also says optical zoom), so I'm wondering if that means a zoom lens in the traditional sense of the word. For instance, does the periscope lens zoom from say, 12-36mm (I had an old point and shoot that did that), or does it simply mean a fixed focal length that's 3x or 5x the focal length of the main lens. Thank you again.
It is only optical at fixed lengths, anything in between is digital. But is not prime either because you can zoom, just doesn't look as good (maybe I should have said telephoto, but Apple does call it an optical zoom)@@sealand000
