If you’re using car wash soap the ceramic coating is not going to last a ph neutral soap and ceramic pro sports will help maintain the ceramic properties. Maintenance key
Damn man that’s real nice. It’s awesome when you can seal it up like that and water shoots off. And like you said with bugs and bird crap just shoots off when rinsed. Very nice man.
I have seen and heard alot of good things about that coating and it looks like it is doing well for you as well. Considering you can just rinse with straight water and you have had it that long it is worth it for Sure.
I usually blow dry by lear blower after and spray ceramic coat spray sealant.. I advise NV jet you won’t regret it and it was so shiny and lasting beading with good chemical and environment resistance so far I’ve used.
Yeah, I was just rinsing it off with water without any maintenance washes. It worked for awhile until the ceramic got plugged up. The whole car needs to be redone. Next time it will definitely be getting maintenance washes.
How many days you cured the cermic coat ? They told me it was cured already after 7days stay in detail shop but told me to keep out of rain for a week or so… its winter here so it slow the curing process I guess its our third car si we seated it as possible in garage. Inhave their suntek Film also full front and thats what I think they told me to limit rain exposure for a while as possible if nkt just dry it out soner it get wet when ut back home. Looks good I have gold package too.. I might dontheir ultimate armor package next time.
My new 2022 Mustang GT convertible is in the shop now getting a full PPF and that ceramic coating on top of it. They’ll have the car for a week. I can’t wait to get it back. Your car looks badass!
It's just more protection. I did it because I thought that it would last longer but each layer wears off at the same rate. Next time I have this done it will only be 1 layer.
What did they give you for maint care and how often ? I just bought a Corvette 2019 and it has the 5 year Ceramic Pro package on her. I have no other product or instructions, just invoice of $4200.00. They put the Suntec Ultra protection wrap on the front and CP on the car and wheels.
Scott Todd They gave me a little sample bottle of shampoo for ceramics but I can’t remember the brand. I haven’t used anything else yet. I just rinse it off. You should definitely use a ceramic booster though. I think I’m going to get some from ceramicpro.com
@@b5beast611 I called my local CP installer and they recommended these products and not to waste the money on the CP . CarPro Reload Spray Sealant 500 milliter with Sprayer to be used instead of BOOST. CarPro Reset - Intensive Car Shampoo 500 ml for outside washing with hose, Optimum (NR2010Q) No Rinse Wash & Shine - 32 oz for inside garage cleaning without hose. and always to use : Chemical Guys MIC_506_12 Professional Grade Premium Microfiber Towels, Gold (16 Inch x 16 Inch) (Pack of 12) I picked up all of them on Amazon for about the price of the one bottle of Boost.
I know the shop that is here in Columbia MD has a gold package with a lifetime warranty starting at 1000. So im sure with paint correction(even with new car) would be 1500-2000 depending on work needed to be done and the size of the car. Pretty sure 1000 is litterally perfect paint on say something like a miata.
I recently found out that it doesn't matter how many layers are put on it. Each layer still wears off at the same rate. I don't think extra layers are worth the extra money.
This is incredible - Thanks for sharing! Would love your opinion on something. I just bought a new SUV and am debating whether or not I should invest in a ceramic coating packaging like this (I found a local detailed that looks very legit and has high reviews in the Bay Area). My car is literally 2 days old... Do you think it’s worth waiting a year to see if I still want to go through with something like this, or do you think it’s beneficial to get a ceramic coat job done while my car is still relatively new? Also, if the shop offers to do a paint correction as an add-on cost. Is it necessary for me to pay for that with the car being so new? Sorry if these are dumb questions...I’m a newb and this is the first car I’ve bought. Thanks in advance!
It's beneficial to do it right away because there will be less paint correction involved. I would definitely do the paint correction to remove any defects and swirl marks in the paint. Even new cars have them. Once the ceramic coating is on you would have to live with the defects. There's definitely no issue in waiting to do it down the road. With a paint correction the paint will look like new again.
Quick question, my 18 Challenger Scat going in for full detail (light paint swirls) and ceramic. It’s already had one treatment about 2 years ago, but shop is going to paint correct and reapply ceramic. I’ve been using McGuires detail spray after I wash. Not sure best product. Others suggest Graphene detail spray to spruce up after maintenance wash, any thoughts on that.
I didn't do any maintenance on it other than washing it. After 18 months the hood was totally flat and the rest of the car was 50% or less. Unfortunately I learned how important the maintenance is after it was too late.
You seem like a no bullshit kinda guy. After 2 years are you still happy with your purchase. The reason for asking is below. I just talked with my local Ceramic Pro shop and I am really looking into the gold package wheels off. I have a 2020 STI and I've only put 1100 miles on it from new in January. I'd be getting a paint correction (not so much needed but just for the polish and shine) in total all out the door I'm looking at around $2500. Fair price if it keeps the swirls away and shines like a diamond after wash. Let know what you think. And anything else you may want to share PLEASE...
Yeah, that would be interesting. I'm afraid to put anything on it right now. Haha. I have a ceramic care kit I will be using when the weather cools down.
@@Jeff-or6em go to a reputable shop with good reviews and they will care about their reputation enough to do the right thing. No way to tell for sure though.
I see gold is much better than bronze. I dont recommend the bronze package to anyone, its fucking garbage. I have it on my stang and wish I didnt. No more beading unless I clay bar it, its scratched to shit, I have to hand wash it to get it clean, shit sticks on the paint, etc. The only good thing is it still reflects well. Again, if you are spending the money on Ceramic Pro, gold all the way or nothing. Dont waste your time on bronze or probably even silver, you won't be happy.
I'm having the Silver package put on my car right now. Honestly I'm not sure the Gold is worth it and how would you even know if they put one coat on your car or 4 coats? You have no way to prove it and I just don't have enough trust built with my local shops yet.
@@b5beast611 The funny thing is the detailer sent me pics on my car today and they just finished the tint and front XPEL film. I told him to upgrade me to the Gold package. I hope its worth it. I had a ceramic coating and XPEL put on my C7 Corvette Z06 3 years ago when new and I'm pretty happy with that.
