This is insane, thanks for sharing. I noticed Avata 2 is taking longer to stop on signal lost than my DJI FPV drone and was wondering if that could lead to something like this. Now I know!
Cooles Video ! Wie weit weg von der Avata war der homepoint ? Kleine Ktitik : "Sonneneruption" konnte ich keine erkennen - dazu bräuchte es wahrscheinlich eine bessere Kamera 😊😊😁😁🤭🤭
I lost connection on my first attempt, flew it from the beach along a distance to Culzean Castle Country Park and it lost connection at that certain height, don't know why it doesn't just travel back to you if it loses connection.
Hi, when you say that you lost the connection, is it just the video feedback or the connection with the remote control? because in manual mode, if the image freezes, the remote control continues to act! And indeed the STOP button is a savior 👍
I have found the Avata 2 to be prone to sudden loss of its control signal, especially in heavily wooded areas (it is better, though, than the Avata 1). The RTH function may be a problem in such situations because the Avata's very limited optical avoidance functions may tangle it in a tree on the trip home. Beautiful flight and video, especially considering it was such a high risk.
@@lumicle_media that's why the drone fell down when you lost connection. with the motion controller, it should come back to the home point. still kinda weird though that they didn't fix that.
It looks like this was manual mode? I think I've seen this happen with mine. Video lost but remote controller is still connected but no failsafe , drone crashes.
Maybe 200m. But many obstacles in between. No it was immediately gone. But usually you get a warning before. You can also immediately push the pause button and it stops right where it is. But I didn’t knew the function at this point 😂
@@lumicle_media I have a similar experience (but with Avata 1) it was the tumble issue, when it tumbled, somehow it got lost connection immidiately, but good thing the only difference (between you and me) was I knew about the pause or break button. It saved my drone and when the connection came back, I got it land safely.
I've lost connection on each of my 3 DJI drones and never had them do a Kamikaze dive into Mother Earth! I do a lot of flying over water so I really don't want to lose my drone into the drink. :)
@@geo30197 there is another one for drone haks...and actually unclock 5.8 ghz at 60hz ...just tried BUT...doses not unlock (yet) the full power/speed ...only transmission
@@geo30197 i tried 2 of them... one unlocks the FCC channel for transmission BUT ...speed and power still castrated....so we have to wait for some solution i guess
