Impressive that it is clear with no voltage…all available electrochromic film that I know of needs voltage to remain clear…a constant battery drain for a parked car, for example. I’ve been searching for film that is clear until voltage is applied…it is a shame it takes so long to achieve darkness though.

Yes, we can speed up the electrochromic device, but not by much. When accelerated, the toning speed can be achieved up to 2 minutes. Electrochromic technology is not fast, this is its feature. We are currently working on speed. In our laboratory we have achieved speeds of 30-40 seconds at any temperature.

Current consumption in the tinted state is ~10-20 milliamperes. In order for the glass to be tinted, you need to apply potential. If you remove the potential, it will be un-tinted.
