LED dimming in LED lamps
Burnt LED lamps can be repaired. Usually, one of the LEDs burns out in them. To find a burned-out LED, they all need to ring.
This requires a dial tone. Usually, a multimeter is used as dialing and the LEDs call them in the diode dialing mode. But, this method does not always work, since the voltage supplied to the probes with a mulimeter is small. In the lamps there are LEDs designed for a higher voltage, for example, 9 volts and, accordingly, with the help of a multimeter, such LEDs can not ring.
For the dialing of LEDs in LED lamps, I made another dialing for myself, or rather two.
My first call sounds like this.
I made it from a 9-volt battery type "Krona". She looks like this with me.
I took the pad, which is connected to the battery. I soldered to each of the contacts along the wire. The positive wire is marked with a piece of electrical tape. This pad is connected to the battery.
I took the contact pad from an old battery of this type. I disassembled the battery and pulled out this pad.
This is how the first type of proverbs for LEDs in lamps looks like.
How to use it.
The wires at the ends are tinned and they are strong. I take the disassembled bulb and touch the ends of the wires to the LED contacts in the bulb. The LED is on - it means it is working.
But this LED is burned out, there is a black dot on it. And if you ring it, it will not light up. To check, I change the polarity, and it still does not work.
This was my first call for LEDs.
The second call I made is more universal. It can be configured for LEDs designed for different voltages.
I made it from such a power supply. It is universal and can produce different voltages.
It gives a voltage of 3 to 12 volts. The desired voltage is set using this switch. Also, on this power supply, you can change the polarity on the terminals. For this, there is a second switch.
At the ends of the power wire, I made pins from a copper wire. On the one hand, I sharpened these pieces of wire, and on the other hand, I soldered them to the terminals of the power wire. And he made something like pens from electrical tape.
I set the power supply to 3 volts, plug it into a power outlet, take a light bulb and start ringing LEDs.
In this case, with this 3-volt light bulb enough to ring the LEDs. If I come across light bulbs with LEDs designed for a higher voltage, then, accordingly, I gradually increase the voltage on the power supply unit with the switch and find the right one.
Well, I made the calls for myself. And with the help of them I can repair these LED lamps.
