I’m a scope user , but I’m a big supporter of the idea that a scope shouldn’t be a first grab tool . Scan data , a decent meter , and a good test light will get most people by 75% of everyday diagnostic work.. But I have seen many issues where only a scope gave the definitive answer but he also seen (myself included ) where the scope made the diagnosis overly complicated and over looked the simple stuff .
