Luck in New World has always been hard to follow and figure out. But this may be the first step in finding out a little more.

You should run this same test on some of the crafting sets. With the way the buckets work it seems like if you have too much luck it's harder to get them since you're starting to dip into the legendary buckets.

It could be possible I will say that I have tested it out some and believe luck has no effect on crafting set pieces and have seen some posts saying it supposedly does not work but it is always hard to tell with this game until you test it out I will look into it a bit more

Hi i was wondering what gear you would reccomend for the bloodsucker? As in solo pve content? And what gear are you wearing could you show that? I just got lvl 60 so im trying to figure out what gear is could focus on

It depends what you are specifically looking for. In these videos I tend to run luck armor in order to get max potential for drops which there are a few ways to get luck armor like some patterns from events, void armor and keeping an eye on the market for specific pieces. But making sets for every different type of damage is also a really good idea as well

@@fojo618 I mainly use the Greatsword so anything that can help me with that would be amazing. I do like the vampyre style (lifesteal) so i have some extra healing. Any gear that could make my game experience better would be good. I have a hatchet on the side but never use it

Luck affects the chance of the drop, but not the chance that the drop will be the sword. At 0% luck the chance of a drop is 5% (1 in 20) at 40% luck the chance is 6.44% (almost 1 in 15). The chance of that drop being the sword is 1 in 7 (there are seven drops). So if you get 15 drops there is still a 10% chance you won't get the sword.

I got mine on the 5th drop. Posted it in Area chat and the salt flowed. One player had been there for 12 hour over two days and another about 3 hours. I had three major loot hanging and light loot gear

Ya it is definitely a drop that is more rare and almost needs to have some rng happen to get it in a decent time

Luck does work from killing mob can also confirm that, but it seems work differently when opening chest.

There are a few options for lower level farms but much more limited. what weapon type are you looking for?

@@runehalm6059 Meldue, Soldier of Blight drops a sword called brilliant refraction and a shield called edens kiss this is a good one because both are decent and drop to the same mob, theres also a hammer called natures justice dropped by a mob named broadpaw. If you need more information check out new world database it is super helpful these are just a few picks that are solid there are other options if you are looking for something specific.

That is rough this drop seems to be above and beyond rare but I am happy to hear that you were able to get it and stuck it out. It is a very fun sword to run after the grind is over

Alot of people still don't understand this so it needs to be said. But if you turn on pvp you get an instant 10% luck bonus. The tool tip when you mouse over the pvp icon still needs to be reworked to state that you get 10% luck as it still only says 10% exp bonus.

That is fair but I will say I did some testing with it early on in the game and it seemed to have the opposite affect maybe I will retest it here soon and see if it is more helpful now or if my tests were not thorough enough

@@fojo618 With full luck armor trophies, pearls, weappns 3 majors your luck is best. When i go PvP with this setup I get fewer drops. It is messed up like the fishing trophies were messed up for 6 or more months
