The UI on that electronic load is way better than mine :) And yeah, that is a lot more than I ever would have expected to get out of that battery.

THE most important test is NOT how many Amp hour per cell... THE constant discharge rate of the battery cell under load is the most important; when running a drill/equipment under load, many cheap fake battries/cell are unable or not rated to supply the amp/load required by the drill and the equipment will stop working long before the fake battery discharge 8% to 12% of it's (tested) capacity.

Have you tried testing a genuine Makita 6ah? The reason I`m asking, I mess around with these a lot. The chargers stop at 20.4 v no matter which battery you charge. My point being the 6ah batteries used in makita 6ah have a max charge of 4.2 v per cell where as the older ones were 4.1. I`m just wondering If they stop short of taking a 6ah charge ? Let me put it another way, If I charge a battery containing vtc6 cells on a makita charger until fully charged,(20.4v) I can put another 600 0r so extra mah In by charging it up to 4.2 per cell (21v) on an imax charger. Makes me think you only get around 5400mah when charging a 6ah battery on a genuine charger..I wonder..

Better than expected, which is not always the case. This week I received 200 bright pink N95 masks instead of the ordered 3D printer hot end replacement! I tried fitting one to the printer, but no joy. 🤷🏼‍♂️🤔

It's cheaper to put limiting circuits on the tool and chargers than the batteries. They sell a lot more batteries than tools and chargers

Why test at such a low amperage draw?? In the real world of cordless tools, 1.5 amps will not run anything accept maybe a light. Set the tester for the max 150 watt draw and the cutoff at 14.3volts and you will have some results that are use full and safe for the cells.

Hey :) Today i looked through youtube and saw this video, then i remembered taht i was the person who send the makita charger to you and wanted to ask if you did any further "deeper inspection" on the charge on how ot works and so on?

Ryobi 18v batteries have both low voltage and thermal cutoff built into the battery. Just about all other tool batteries shut down on the tool side, not the battery side.

4 Ah au lieu de 6 !! merci Bangood !

I think the main problem is the behavior in high drain usage. And other think to consider is the cell life, I have here 10,8V bosch lithium batteries from 2010 working fine, this cell can last how many years?

I'm impressed. I would have figured 3ah or actually even less

Test your real Makita 18v battery. The brand new Makita 6Ah batteries will likely be around 4.5Ah - 5Ah.

Wouldn’t the cells have been closer to 2.4 volts when you cut off the load?

Bonus, when you shitty battery is better than you though it was. 🤣🤣 Very intersting results. 2x👍

Generally, there is only 4Ah at most now, don’t ask me why, because I am a factory

For that price in Canadian dollars, that's a great price. Even better U.S.
