That's why they hate, because they forgot how to have fun like that. They regret their decisions in life that don't allow them to just have fun. They are too serious and it drives them insane to see anyone else dare to go outside the lines.
My first experience with big ass fans was when we had a commander's call in an aircraft hangar with a big ass fan installed. The blades were insane. That thing moves so much air it was ridiculous.
Big Ass Fans are pretty awesome... I'd like to see him test some of those industrial warehouse models like you mentioned 🤣 👍 the blades seem to be meticulously tuned for balance and flex, so I'm afraid they might self destruct pretty quick... With extremely dangerous and entertaining footage of that catastrophic low earth orbit shrapnel launch 😆
Back when I was a consultant engineer we always got a kick out of making the drawings when the client wanted them in their warehouse space. It's the only time an engineer gets to submit a drawing with notes everywhere that say BigAss.
I understand people getting mad if he destroys perfectly good vehicles that aren't made anymore and are in very limited numbers and could've been purchased by someone who loves that particular vehicle, but when it's just something that's widely available and still made and people are saying stuff like "You could've given that to me" I just scoff and shake my head.
I've missed this sort of content from WhistlinDiesel. Him destroying shit got me hooked years ago, hopefully he will keep this genre going. Sports cars are cool but seeing shit get destroyed and people's heads exploding is better
Sports cars aren't cool. They were placed in movies and made to be cool. It's like most music today. Just brainwashed into your head. Know what's cool? Making a million people interested in you dragging a fan to test it's metal. No one hyped that up and no one brainwashed you. You just like it and can't help it. As it should be. Natural.
I have a 81 chevy squarebox with a 1967 corvette 327 motor in it; it wasn't put in there so it would be a race truck, but because the last motor LITERALLY melted down, and that was the only motor that was available. I can piss those daddies money punks with the fartbox's off if I'm doing 55 I can still smoke the back tires and begone at 100mph+(Unless it's a fucking lambo; Punks..). But I really can't atm. Because the kick down cable got fucked when we had to swap the last tranny because someone put it in park going 45 miles mph. so the fucker just runs like a dog. For the idiots the kick down cable means I can drop a gear down and get the rpms higher than fuck than go two gears up and begone. I haven't tried to fix it because I fucking grew up and don't feel the need to compensate and compete. That's why I like whistling diesel. He understands the difference between a work truck and a punk ass bitches truck. I don't find him as a hypocrite because he also has big trucks, but he is more responsible about it. He even has pointed out the dumbass's that buy worn out diesels that are so unmaintained it's terrifying. Edit: to sum it up the people that hate him, see the point he's making and they feel guilty about it cause they know it's true...
Held up surprisingly well Also they used plastic since plastic flexes and returns to shape usually and is lighter A stamped metal blade is very weak A machined metal blade would be indestructible basically but it would be pretty heavy and expensive

We have Big ass fans all through our factory here at Volvo / Mac production plant. We have the massive 20' wide bladed fans all through the place and they do a great job. In my early Apprenticeship they would make us go up and change the belts on the motors. You don't realize how friggen big these things are until you're way up in the air on a scissor lift. The blades are like a carbon fiber outside with metal frame.
Cody you are one wild dude. They say money can't buy you happiness, this is true in most cases. But in Whistlins case it allows him to buy what he wants, when he wants and it obviously bring him happiness keep doing your thing brother. My life is at an all time low financially but seeing videos like this helps to take my mind off of the bullshit I have going on.
I fucking love this guy good to be catching back up on what I missed best content ever sorry for the late delay i am a truck driver barely got time for anything anymore
@@user-el4ii7zq6l I thought daily videos would be cool for a bit but I'd prefer quality over quantity. I've quit watching channels that endlessly crank out filler vids. If you absolutely have to put out filler to monetize every waking second of your life, use a secondary channel. I don't want to have to dedicate an entire evening to getting caught up if I can't watch for a few days.
I gotta say, just even 6 minutes into the video, I am quite impressed with this fan. I’ve had fans at my shop that have legit imploded them self because you bumped it while it was on. Yes imploded, all the blades fold in toward the spindle in almost an explosive way, physically making a “boom” and then the fan walking out the shop due to massive imbalance.
My stepdad used to buy shit when he was drunk. He bought some 5-6 foot metal fan. That thing had been through hell and back and never had issues. I couldn’t tell you what it was or how much it costs but it was pretty nice. Just old as shit though. He also bought some industrial ice maker that made like 200lbs a day or something. And a huge 7 foot deep freeze. But that’s besides the point.
I used to get bombed(drunk) with my pal in a town of 2000 narcissists, and binge watch these videos, I have so much care and respect for guy filming. And Josh
Don’t till me I been missing out on whistlindiesel this long mawn 😂 you put a smile on my face ever time I watch your videos..😂😂 please keep doing you. fck tha hater’s mawn they the ones who bring the joy or something like dat 😂
Not gonna lie, the testing for this by dragging behind a hilux is a real life simulation of if it fell out the back of a work truck and nobody realised for quite a while with it being partially strapped down with a dodgy ratchet strap 😂
That stuff happens, too, I remember once being passed on the interstate by a guy doing like 80 in a 55 and his hand cart was hanging off the back of the pickup dragging on the ground. I figured it was his problem to deal with. I also picked up a ladder on the same stretch of highway one night, fell off a truck I guess and slid to the median and nothing was wrong with it so I took it.
4:21 - the subtle attention to detail, where he's stripping the nuts on the wrench - hilarious. Also - Cody's organization is pretty spot on considering that part of his brand is destruction.
I love the lay of the land at his new property, it really makes me think of my hometown West Branch in the north central part of the lower peninsula in michigan. The rolling hills there & in this video just go on and on
Big ass fans are awesome! They make like. Industrial size fans for warehouses. Like. Helicopter blade fans. My friend has one in her house. Beach Condo. It's insanely big for a ceiling house fan.
I cannot believe it's made of plastic and cost that much. Talk about making a good markup. It works but, wow, barely any metal.. and likely all fabricated and outsourced in asia.
I don’t even know what to say anymore but my stomach hurts after every video I watch that you have made because of laughing so much I love every video your doing an excellent job bro I give you 5 stars!!
MORE PISSED OLD GUY!!! I'm literally crying. That pissed off old dude is the funniest thing I've seen all week. Thanks man, going through hard times and I really needed that laugh. Doing God's work WD.
It can be "the world toughest" and still break. "The world's toughest" doesn't mean indestructible. In my opinion, this is the world's toughest fan. If he can do all of that testing, than it will certainly last in a "normal" shop.
Props to them for the semi responsible mayhem. I was like, shiz did that generator end up in the bottom of the lake, but then rewatched the clip and sure enough, they took it out before that nice little tow action. Yaya
If a company really wants to test durability on their product they should just cut the crap and send it to whistling diesel to begin with not only will they get publicity to his followers they will get it to whoever they target with their ad as well but 90% of companies no deep down their products won't hold up to him testing them because most products get preferential treatment the way they abuse them and if they actually do damage them they're not going to show you that they're going to redo it until it works in their favor
Big Ass Fans manufacture construction-grade fans for things like high-rise smoke purge systems for Fire Alarm/egress protection. I work with these things as a designer of FA systems. Really tough, SUPER powerful fans. They're very often used in stairwells to pressurize them to prevent smoke from getting in the path of egress (stairwell). I didn't know they made shop fans, pretty cool!

I would love to see a bone stock f250, Chevy/gmc 2500, ram 2500 go through torture tests and see which one is better. They would need to be only a few years old with low miles and bone stock. That would get a lot of views!

I don’t think I’ve laughed this hard at one of your videos in awhile. Absolutely love how you’ll put absolutely everything to test no matter what. Keep it up man!
I'm feeling like the plastic blades are actually an improvement. As I'm sure you know, rolling/ spinning weight is the most intense of stresses and cause of energy loss. By making plastic blades you decrease that deficit significantly. And the blades were strong enough to chop watermelons making me think they're strong enough for an average industrial usage. Also, metal blades would have bent and continued to spin possibly causing irreparable damage to the actual fan housing rather than breaking away and allowing for a fix
this is definitely more durable then ur average fan, should last throughout its life in a shop or construction site, defenitely not paying a few hundred bucks let alone over 2 GRAND for it

Damn it man, the camera quality is insane! Dude these videos keep getting better and better every time. Only channel I actually look forward to the upload!
These guys have so much fun. I can see why he has so many haters, I’m jealous of how much fun they have.. that creates envy but I’m not like that,. I just enjoy the content
I was sure that blade was going to break with the first melon, but then I realized wow that's really dangerous. I'm disappointed with them using HDPE storm drain pipe for the fan shroud with it at that price.
@@aSinisterKiid calling that the cheapest material possible tells me you don't know how much that shiz costs. It isn't cheap, it's rediculously durable, just not $2400 durable.
@@brahtrumpwonbigly7309 I know exactly how much that shit costs. Especially buying it in bulk and cutting it down they can get that corrugated pipe for $80.00/100 meters. Don't give me that shit about it being ridiculously durable. Of course it is durable, but it isn't gold. It's fucking plastic and it isn't expensive. That little 24 inch piece probably costs less than $1.00 in material costs. If that company is building these fans with it then they are buying bulk shipments of pipe likely 100 meters long and paying $80 or $100 bucks for the single pipe. Cut that pipe down into 24inch sections and that mean they can get 164 sections to build 164 fans. At that price point of $2,400 bucks per fan you are talking about $393,600 before taxes. When you are talking about that kind of profit I don't want to hear about you using one of the cheapest manmade materials on the planet. Corrugated plastic pipe isn't special and it doesn't warrant that kind of price point. None of the materials they used in that fan warrant that kind of price point. They used cheap thinwall steel for the base, corrugated plastic pipe for the housing, cheap plastic fanblades and a cheap chinese motor. All in I could build that fan myself for less than $150 bucks. Fuck outta here with that $2,400 price point.
@@aSinisterKiid you’re wrong lol A 48”x20’ section of HDPE costs ~$1,600 retail. They’re making good margins as every business wants to do, but they’re not building these for $150 a piece lol
