Wow, I wasn’t expecting this from ALP. I’ve seen lots of tests where it got boring testing ALPs because all they did was jam. Looks like it’s time to sell my first born and get a Uniden.
@@VortexRadar Fortunately for those around me, they mostly face ProLaser, TruSpeed, and Stalker. For them, PTs on those are a lot more concerning than PTs with DE. Especially if they happen >400 ft out. The admittedly small sample size of tickets I see from around here mostly center around 1,000ft +/- 500ft. I once saw one that was somewhere around 150ft near a school zone, but it seemed like an outlier. With my driving habits, I’m thinking if I could avoid a PT until 400ft, I’d have a save in the vast majority of cases. In the cases where I’d get hit at close range, I’m generally not pushing things, and in the rest, I generally get hit far enough out that I could make an adjustment before PT. Still, I’d rather have JTK, which makes the Uniden look very appealing.
Surprising test results! I am running an ALP system with 4 heads up front and 3 in the rear. For Tennessee, where is the testing happening in October? I’d love to join.
Very interesting results. I still haven't decided on installing a system yet and this certainly changes which systems I'm considering. Looking forward to the behind the scenes info and any updates you get from future tests and the manufacturers.
been following laser jamming tech for a while, i think the r9 will be hands-down the best option if they offer the jammers as stand-alone for less money.
Could you make a video on the ESCORT ZR6 Laser Shifter and maybe pare it with the Redline 360c (Extra ideer show off their dashcam aswell, maybe all Escort system setup, Radar + Laser Detection and Shifters + Dashcam) Would really like that.
Thanks as always. Yeah, not sure what's up with ALP but I hope they have plans to improve. I am invested in alp, so it would really suck If I have to change out my entire systems because they cant keep up.
Thank you so much for this vid. Not sure if you put this vid out b4 or after u spoke solely about the new alp cpu. If I saw this test I could have not made bumbling comments and questions to you. You were still kind enough to answer. I think what everyone can agree that Mr Vortex is the “gold standard” of the CM field.
What parking sensor works with my R8? Mostly KA around here but I heard their is some lazer. My R8 sniffed out SP at 2.9 miles today. I guessed it at 1.5+ but when I dropped a pin on google maps and measured the distance it said 2.9! How does that even happen? Only had this uniden a week and it's already done several 1+mile alerts. Keeps this up and I'm going to buy DJI action camera so I can record these long distance alerts. Guess i can film the first blip and reset the trip meter until I pass the source, otherwise no one will believe it.
I've gotten 4 miles on 9500ix once upon a time. Straight highway has crazy ranges. Night atmospherics help, too, I'm sure (low inversion layer). Cop was at the bottom of a dip in rolling hills and I got alerts towards the top of every hill.
Speaking directly to ALP in Croatia, they actually recommend 2 TX and 1 RX sensor in the front as the standard installation with HW.6, and adding a 2nd RX sensor for larger vehicles.
We've had a lot of excuses from ALP over the past ~5 years and for some reason, people continue to give them the benefit of a doubt. How many years have we been dealing with newly launched green & black heads that don't work as promised???
What if... You ran multiple laser jammer systems at the same time near each other? Would that cause any interference? Or would it help protect you from any punch throughs? Additionally, if one ran something like the ALP in the front and TMGs in the back of the vehicle, they should be fine right (other than the cost installing more CPUs and a different system)?🤔
I see in the comments the guy said don't speed and you don't need jammers, however, it's not all about speeding. I like the fact of having it as a hobby. It's going to be a blast to install. Plus, if I do speed, I'll be protected (mostly).
'Just don't speed' is fantasy land. There's virtually nobody on the road that isn't speeding at some point, even if they're not wanting to be speeding. People get distracted, there are actual 'speed traps' etc.
My wife got pulled over for speeding and wasn't even speeding but still got the ticket. She was in another state so not much she could do about it. Speeding tickets is a revenue game. They got their toys we got ours...
Vortex, I could write a thesis but i will keep it short. I am glad to see the test results firstly. Thank you to you and the team. I was onboard the Escort system the day it was released. What these tests are proving now are all my posts on the forum saying this point. Nobody listened to me. I actually got nasty PM's and doubts on whatever i posted on the forum. Anyways I am out of there now. In addition, Escort had told me to put 4 heads in the front on my M5, and 2 at the back. Ive seen the 4 heads perform great. Im not sure about the back though with 2. I look forward to your Tennessee test. Great job and keep it up!! Love your content!! Cheers, Carspear!
If you live in a city like Austin where they defunded the police, you will not need any of these jammers. I drive 200 miles everyday and I am having to drive a minimum of 90 mph just to keep up with traffic which is ridicules.
Hello Vortex, I have the redline Ci 360c. What kind of installation issues were you having? I have no way to test and am worried there could be an issue with it. Also, do you know if the redline's are finicky with placement or are they more like the uniden's? Thanks
I had 1 Regular head in the center and 2 TX heads by the headlights installed, basically flipped from what it was supposed to be. I went back to get 2 Regular heads by the headlights and then a TX in the center.
Which ones? Their ZR5s or ZW5s? Those are older gen jammers and have been out of stock for a while. The ones I tested here are better, but only for the Redline Ci 360c.
Yes the “best” but not perfect is for rich 🤑 lol😂😂😂 see you forgot to say that then the best option for most people is the XTP but also not for everyone cause 1,000 dollars I don’t know for you for me is lot of green let alone 5,000 but…thanks for the video pretty informative.
Really disappointed and concerned with the ALP. Hope they can make some quick improvements to bring dragon performance back up to what it has been in previous years.
@@VortexRadar It appears that this thread is privileged at a level higher than what I possess on RDForum. Perhaps there is a better way for us to track this event...? I live in Charleston, SC, but I would like to know more about the Tennessee event. I have a TruSpeed Sxb that I can bring, fwiw. Thanks!
Do these work against for dragoneye, i want a recommendation for a radar jammer and detector against these dragon eye laser , radar detectors and a radar jammer thanks
Well, wow.. Maybe going with 4 heads in front is good, but that only leaves 2 in the rear, so .... How about using a splitter cable on the end of each cable and running 6 heads in front (off 3 cables with splitters) and 3 in the rear? Also, it sounds like Uniden (I have an R9 and an R3) is pretty damn good, but doesn't that make jammers mass market, so everybody and their mum will be using these things and states will start banning them? Finally, we need to do something about those damned DragonEye guns.
Hopefully the plug and play version for the uniden R8 isn't astronomical expensive. But if I had to guess I would say probably twice the value of a new R8. So likely 1,499.00 That would be my guess.
I have a novel idea, DON'T BREAK THE LAW. I've driven a wrecker as a contractor for several police departments. DON'T SPEED and you don't need a jammer. Absolutely get a dashcam W/GPS to fight the occasional fraudulent ticket.
Haha pretty hilarious hearing a person who drove a wrecker tell other people not to break the law. You guys are some of the biggest offenders out there. And fraudulent tickets aren't "occasional." They happen all the time.
@@wingsuitist Seen a rollback going past me like I was tied to a telephone pole a few day's ago, he never even slowed down coming into town. He was doing about 65 in a 45. No car on the back and no lights rolling. Not that lights rolling makes a difference because they don't have the right to anyway.
You stop drinking sweet tea and eating fried foods....you won't need your blood pressure medicine or cholesterol pills or insulin shots. Just don't put that in your body. Novel, right?
Here's an idea mind your own business..... Sorry but some of us have places to go.... Speed limits are unreasonable and we did not have speed limits into peanut man got into office
