I work in the navy. I could absolutely put that phone through its paces. I had a cat phone years ago. Loved it. The software was a bit buggy, but that was also over five years ago.

I am a safety officer for a large institution. I have to cover every square inch of the facility to ensure over 1500 peoples safety. That phone would be great as it is as tough as the place I work in!!!! Thanks for your excellent videos!

I work for a municipality as the Safety Inspector. I am exposed to multiple hazards and work conditions from sewage treatment to park management. This phone would have to withstand exposure to dust, extreme temps, drops, moisture, and knuckleheads. I would love to give this device a try! Thanks for the fun content; keep up the great work!

My workplace is hard on phones because I'm in sales. The phone gets dropped...sometimes in the snow... onto rocks. It falls out of my back pocket or gets sat on. Have narrowly avoided having it fall into the toilet, thankfully. Heat, cold, rain, or snow...the phone is like the post office...always there...

My husband needs this phone so bad. He is a truck driver in and out of trailers all day long. We have been waiting a long time for the Cat phone to come out, he had the first model and liked it.

I'm the Safety Officer at a grain/feed elevator, egg farm, and propane delivery company. Needless to say, phones go through A LOT of abuse. We had an employee drop his in a feed bin and find it a year later at the bottom of an elevator leg (yeah, it didn't work). We also had a worker lose his dentures the same way...and never found them, to this day...but that's a whole different story. lol. love your videos and this was a great test/review!

My husband wanted this phone last year and I didn't see great reviews but after watching this video, I'd give it a try. We are both rough on our phones. We work in fuel and equipment and they are always falling from heights and having grease/ULSD smeared on them. Tossing my hat in the ring for the giveaway. Thanks for the video.

Admittedly, there are a lot of folks who could be a lot harder on their phones in the field than I, though many of my co-workers conducting on-site safety inspections and operational reviews would be right up there with the best of 'em... working outdoors in the montana wilderness as well as volunteer firefighting usually puts my phone in some pretty bad predicaments, used to have the casio tough phones and even those took a beating through the years. ive had to keep my smart phones in the truck or at the fire station out of fear of ruining them.

I started doing my monthly inspection electrically with my personal cell phone. Once I scratch up the screen protector really bad, I went and bought a cheap pixel online (no service). It's been about two months and going to need to replace it soon. I work at a can manufacturing facility.

Fully aware this was a year ago, just had to say it- I want to get my dad one to see how it holds up. He does demolition, and frequently has minor lapses in memory. As a result, i am almost certain the phone will at some point have a dump truck or skid steer drive over it, and/or a small excavator on steel tracks track over it.

Rachel I do outdoor construction, sometimes in CAT equipment. I need a phone that I can drop in a six foot hole, run over with a back hoe, and not get scratched in all the dust I kick up. After watching this video, this just might be the phone for me.

The safety feature I admire the most for this smartphone is the flir thermal imaging camera which can assist in detection of electrical shorts and also assist in seeing in the dark

First of all, awesome content. Liked and subscribed and I’m going to share. We safety folk are hard on our phones. I’ve managed to destroy two otter boxes…. This phone doesn’t stand a chance with me.

Absolutely love this thorough review Rachel. Working outdoors, I'm pretty rough on my phone. Knocks, drops, scratches: you name it, I do it. Would love to have this bad boy Cat. I mean really, No scratches with a wire brush...wow!

Hi, am Derrick an aspiring safety officer to be, am still an apprentice have been stalking anything which has to do with safety for the past three years which is actually how i got to know this channel via a podcast with Rachel Walla as guest. I just subscribed and of course the videos I have watched so far are awesome and i really like the on the site aspect of it, which solves the traditional theoretical nature of safety trainings, will I be glad to win the phone 💯 yeah, how it will be of help? Well first of all I seriously never knew CAT was into phones too am kinda anxious to try it. Haven’t been able to land my first safety role though am about to complete my level six diploma, nevertheless I believe it will be of great help to my studies.am looking forward to the next video.!

I'm actually thinking of getting one.....or win one😊 Being a mechanic will surely put the cat s62 to test. Plus I had a cat s41 before and it held up pretty well for about 5 years especially considering that normal smart phones don't last more than a few months with me👍🏼

Did you jump out of the forklift at 4:21? It's hard to tell because of the camera angle, but it seemed too quick of a dismount to have used the step. Then again, I've never been within 20 feet of a forklift, so maybe I shouldn't be talking 😂

Now that I think about it, a hardhat probably would have been advisable in an experiment where you knew that an object would be falling from above head height, even if the intent was to drop it away from yourself.

I'm an average joe who simply liked the looks and promise of a rugged phone for a decent price. I've been on Android since the start, and up to this phone usually went for a top of the line Samsung. After my S7 Edge started failing me, I switched to the S62 Pro. After a few years of use, I can name a few improvements that could and should be made to this line, starting with the battery. It's been adequate from the start, so I knew pretty early it wouldn't be great after a few years. It gets me through a full day of use still, though. The housing is rock solid, but the metal sides have started to degrade from skin oils, it seems like the top layer is not very resistant to skin contact. It doesn't seem like it's structurally compromised at all, it's still a brick, but it won't hold up from an aesthetic point of view. The water resistant speaker is perhaps the weakest point when it comes to the physical device. After the phone is submerged, the loudspeaker is effectively unusable for a while until the water on the inside bleeds out. It always recovers, and hasn't degraded from the start, so that's nice, but if you need this phone on speaker and you expect it to get submerged don't count on being able to hear the other phone clearly. From the software side I had low expectations, and while those were met and then some it's not comparable to high end phones from the usual brands. Android version is lagging, I'm not getting updates any more, and there's rough edges here and there. I would've liked to see an upgrade path to Android 12 at least, but it seems I'm going to be stuck on 11 for the remaining life of the phone. There's some stuttering in select apps and UI, and the on-screen keyboard isn't stellar. I often make mistakes with my big clumsy hands, compared to smaller phones where the touch precision was just outright better. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the phone, tough. Not needing a case, having a FLIR camera, and the heft of it all are great features to have. I'd like to see CAT come out with an updated model, with improved software and better battery management and life. 8/10 would buy again.

@@AllySafety hvac, where moisture is prone to getting to our phones in crawlspaces and cleaning coils. But this sim door issue is frustrating, I did experience the random shutdown issue I have heard so much about when I first got my S62, but it went away, at least for now, lol. But this sim door opening so easily and on its own with no vibration or external influence robs the phone of being waterproof

And of course since the Bullitt Group who made the Cat phones shut down earlier this year, there is no support, and links for Cat installed apps are dead, even the toolbox app

Teď jsem si ho pořídil!Meljsem "vlajkové lodě"od Samsungu a ty nejdražší kousky!Když bylo venku opravdu špatně počasí a já měl telefon v kapse,začal mi lítat displej mnohdy jsem si ani nezavolal a poslední kousek Samsung Galaxy flip se mi zablokoval všechno pryč!Teď mám Cat s62 pro,pravda některé funkce jsou trošku jiné,ale když telefon vydrží tak budu spokojen!Nehodlám s ním dělat to co v zatěžujících testech ale budu ho normálně používat!No popravdě ať dáváte pozor jak chcete,každý telefon vám nedopatřením alespoň jednou spadne na zem!Tak doufám že tenhle kousek bude vpohode🙂😉!

I'm a diesel mechanic I'm thinking of getting this phone the company o work for deals with mining products iv been loyal to Samsung galaxy for there durability my current phone is bent and working but. I need a phone. That will withstand wet harsh chemical environments and be able to withstand my 200 pound body weight at times
