Having a 2018 RS, the revised stock suspension is alot better than previous 2016-17’s models. Swapping out to a aftermarket, my suggestion is to go with the ohlins. Thanks for the vid share.
I own 2 RS. Had 4 in total. Kind of a pro here. You never improved the car. You made it esthetically pleasing for you and made it sound bad. Drony as hell. Wheels look awful but that’s my opinion. Waste of money on coilovers unless you track it. OG suspension is perfect for everyday driving and even if you push the car. This car was well balanced from factory with the ride height and stiffeness. You have now screwed up the balance of the car and will cost you more trying to bring it back to perfect balance again. Has for your driving, you’re fine dude. The rest comes with experience. You’ll also notice that with the RS, braking early and gasing it on apex, the split diff and torque vectoring will make the car turn and dive inside corners way better than simply coasting thru it. That’s track experience talking. All and all, you spent money on stuff that won’t improve your drive or performance of the RS. Makes it only fun for you. All good bro. Just want people to know that there are better ways to improve the performances. For thèse that want to know……this is one of the best cars to drive today. Makes bad drivers look good too. But remember. As soon that you lower a car, get readyfor more issues to pop up.
the wheels are less for looks, more for the Ken Block/rally heritage. As for the performance, he has a Mountune intercooler, turbosmart wastegate, Mountune short shifter, tires, cone style air filter, and a tune, if i had to guess hes making abount 40ish more hp than stock. I agree about the suspension though, even my 16 rs that supposedly has "the worst dampers" still feels perfectly dialed imo.
I need to get mine out for a Canyon Drive….. I’m literally just using it in the city going from one red light to the next….. and to be honest with you, not having any fun at all with the car, or using it for what it was intended for…..
why aren't you monitoring your car with an accessport during this spirited canon drive? sure would be a shame if something went wrong and you had no idea the symptoms.
me too!!! it sounsd sick at high RPM mid shift which is ideal almost like anti lag so i wanna keep it there but only if youre above 5,500rpm for a street car lol
you should add camber in the rear that’s also why you feel it moving when you get out of corners. the stock car has no camber whatsoever and it really helps
