Pretty good for the money - if you have nothing and you buy this it’s a big step up. Can be used as a starter kit and slowly upgraded when funds available.

@@mralapenosarespicy yeah, definitely should have bought a case for shells, but that wasn't what he was looking for when he originially bought this. He just took the contents out of the case and stored them elsewhere, some EDC some in a GO bag, so he didn't really need to case to hold the items, so he repurposed it.
I’ve bought these kits just for the pens in the past. Ended up using a few of the items here and there. The flash light you hate I like to throw in glove boxes as a back up that I don’t mind if it gets lost or stolen. The card tool I throw away. You are correct it’s more an edc kit than wilderness survival kit. Could use a lot of items to do either one better. I love the pens but the inner parts usually only last about a year then it falls apart. But, you can’t break them in your pocket while doing rough work. Good review enjoyed it.
A friend of mine gave me one as a gift. Thanks for demonstrating some of its uses. I put it in my emergency bug out bag. Doesnt take much space and could come in handy.👍
Zhou Zay at least the edge needs to be sharpened. I was thinking of taking the two models it comes in(old silver new black with some cordage) and trying to sharpen them so the could at least be used as some kind of cutting tool.
Manufactured "survival kits" are often pretty crappy. So if you cannot find a ready kit that rises to your expectations, the best strategy is to start with the container (whatever container you choose) and fill it with the knife, flashlight, etc. of your choosing.
You should do an upgrade video, say you bought that kit and you wanted to spend $50-$75 to upgrade which items would you swap out and use this as a case.
I've got two kits similar to this, one is in my EDC bag and one is in my vehicle. The few differences between this kit and mine are: The knives, both my knives are Boker Plus with glass breaker/seatbelt cutter, both seem super durable. One has a compass/thermometer, the compass works great but the thermometer is okayish. One has the water bottle holder which worls well. Could care less about the card tool but I keep it in case. Overall for my kits, everything works super well! I'd recommend one of these for a basic EDC/vehicle kit.
I luv how they put the water bottle holder in coyote. 😂 No survival kit is complete without the multitool credit card. Once again seeing these kits makes me appreciate what u guys put out Jack. Thanks again 👍🍻 Happy Thanksgiving
I bought a recent version of this, pretty cheap my knife had a seat belt cutter, my multi tool was magnetic , hang it from a thread and you have a compass
My kit had some different items, but here's my two cents.. The cheap plastic case breaks at the hinge after light use.. piece of junk. The fire starter tool handle came off after a few uses too - I use a swedish fire steel instead. Pen is good, I have a few I ordered separately. I use these pens everyday, they are nice to write with & they take standard refills. The torch is good as a last ditch back up, had it in my kit for years now and it still works. Compass & whistle - ditto, they work just fine. The 11 function card.. I've never used it. Sits in the bottom of my EDC somewhere. My go-to is a Leatherman multi tool
Bought one of these as a birthday present for a friend of mine, but did a few modifications to make it a small edc kit for his car. Ended up using it the same day I gave it to him: we gave the lighter I had added to some girls that night for a smoke. :D
That bottle holder is for any standard 28mm soda pop or smart water bottle. I think it's a good idea. In the USA, if you walk a mile in any direction you will find discarded soda pop bottles....hell, you'll probably get tired of kicking them out of the way. :)

One of those kits you toss in the truck or glovebox and forget once you've swapped out a few things. The light and whistle go on your keychain with peanut lighter.
7:00 I have that exact wallet tool. Its better than you think. Have it over 5yrs, the blade keeps an edge, bottle opener ia handy andnive used the screwdriver when stuck (saw is useless)
Boy, the fine folks at Stealth Angel are gonna be pissed that their survival kit has been hacked and their kit components have been ransacked. Thanks for sharing, Teufel Hunden. RAH!!!
We have four, one for each truck (2) and one for EDC bag Wife and mine (2). Great little kit to complement other items. It's an addition, not a lifesaver.
I actually got it this Christmas ! 😊 It’s really amazing Still watching: ok a few things that are different. The flashlight I got, despite its size could light up the room.
Me personally I try to stick to any survival gear that is all dark color. That flashlight is janky at best.if you bump it in your pack now your battery is dead.maybe I'm being to rough on it.at the end of the day it is only 26$
I got some of those kits from Survival Angel and it is great and the best ones I have and kits are nice. I keep one in my backpack, one in my EDC bag, and one kept at home for use if the power goes out. I love the pen, flashlight, and the compass most. Mine didn't come with a knife in the kit, but I have knives in my backpack anyway and it is good.
I got one of these as a gift. That whistle is LOUD and the knife that came with it was much better quality than the one in the video. Mine didn't come with some of the other things though
My knife came very loose. The blade wiggled a lot. So I tightened it as tight as I could so that it would not wiggle. I also modified my mine as well putting tender and matches in it.
in our country in the Czech Republic it is called "KPZtka" it is an abbreviation of "Krabička Poslední Záchrany" English: Box/Packet last rescue One should properly assemble KPZetka yourself Here, the KPZtks purchased are derisively called the "Krabička Plná Zbytečností" English: Box Full of Uselessness
Made in China 🇨🇳 that kit has all the stuff you find in a 99 cents/$1 store which will brake on 1st or 2nd use. If you want a survival kit , build your own.
This is just one of those crappy cases the cheap tactical style zooming flashlights come in. Usually bigger ones, but hell even the flashlight they included when you get the rechargeable version sometimes come in this case.
Omg that ‘survival card’! I had one back in the 1980’s before I knew any better. It will open a bottle and a can (just) but everything else on it is just useless. A P-38 is way better.
This kit sure may lack some quality on some of the items, and you might miss some others. But Mr. Rulon Gardner surely would have been happy to have something like this after his Skidoo accident. I guess it would have prevented him from losing one of his toes. Fire, some shelter, a little container, a little blade...and you're good to go even in bad conditions.
#Blackscoutsurvival travel survival kit is way better, it includes tinder quick tabs, reflective cordage, signal mirror, water bag, water purification tabs & some minor first aid items. If you want a real hard use pry tool, check out #Blackscoutsurvival urban multitool, well built tool from Toor knives, the price point is higher but your getting much higher quality items you can actually use & depend on.
Thanks for the review! Not the best for sure, but for those who are quick to condemn these, I am wondering would you throw this away if you are lost in the forest with nothing else with you!?
It's a survival kit. For $26 it gives you a better edge than nothing at all, so I wouldn't discount it. But it's certainly not something you would carry long term and rely on. More of a day hike kit in case something goes horribly wrong. Should probably include a booklet/foldout on outerspace alien invasion.
Yeah this kit is for if you're lost in the CITY.....not in the middle of nowhere wilderness. Everything is expensive today. People spend lots on hunting gear. Rifle, scope, knife, boots, binoculars, hunting clothes. So $29.99 on a survival kit is just awesome in its stupidity. Save up buy good pieces and build your own kit. Don't come back with the more you know the less you need, (which is TRUE) but what else thats 100% true is the less you have the harder you have to work.
I have a kit similar to this except my compass is different and mine doesn't have a knife or flashlight. Idk how they'd fit in the box anyway. It's so crammed you can barely close the box.
An oversized P38 ($.25) at my local Army Navy store opens cans a LOT easier and faster. I just got that "Window Breaker / Pen" as an Add on thingy, for Sending in my Email to get "That Which Should have been Included in the 1st Place" Book for a rather pricey 1st Aid Kit. It's actually rather nice and heavy! I can see bashing an Antifa Skull or two with it, but since i live in the desert, it's unlikely I'll be driving into lakes or rivers deeper than my truck anytime soon.
Whenever I see one of those metal multi tool cards in a kit (and a lot of the cheapo kits have them) I pretty much know the kit isn't going to be the most thought out or quality kit.
