Testing the New Mahogany Homes Construction Training Method! Construction Contract Guide [OSRS]

Hey guys, and welcome to day 1 guide of the new mahogany homes update. In today's update we received the new construction contracts training method. Essentially it is a low to mid level construction training method that is less click intensive and less expensive.
Mahogany homes start at level 1 and go up to level 70.
Level 1 - Beginner
Level 20 - Novice
Level 50 - Adept
Level 70 - Expert
Today I will be testing the expert tier to see home much exp/hr you can get on day 1. I will also be calculating the gp/xp and overall cos of the method.

It is but we aren't alone. Smash Bros Melee players also deal with it. I don't play that game but friends compete and they tell me this. I suggest you search some hand stretching exercises, helps a decent amount cuz we aren't getting younger dude.

People will never understand how much pain i feel in my hand after playing RuneScape for long period of time. Been playing for about 15 years and i broke my hand 12 years ago. Had surgery done to it and everything. Almost want to cut it off it hurts so bad after a long scape session. ;-;

For those who dont have lunar done, almost all the time the house you will have to fix is just next to house agent and next to him look for minige sign and you can ask for new contract directly there.

Honestly, this is a huge change for mobile players. Doesn't look as right-click intensive, making this infinitely better for them.

I usually just turn on the tap-to-click. Still get around 350k-400k xp/hr that way. You just gotta know where to click, and set up camera so you click the table and click remove in the same spot

I'm mobile only and I banked 99 con last week I dont think I'd settle for this xp rate as I'm getting close to maxed. If any mobile players need advice my rsn is "mike mobile". I do tob c gaunt etc aswel

Been excited for new content. Will be a fun way to train now. The amount of times I've fallen asleep while doing the standard carpal tunnel inducing techniques is ridiculous. Maybe this will help keep my brain more active too lol.

Uses less supplies per exp and helps replenish supplies used. Will help out the less than wealthy folks who can't afford to dump 40m into the skill. Slower, but it's fun so I dig it. Though I'll probably just earn the unique rewards and then slowly break my wrist on the way to 99 anyways.

I think it'd be cool if they added a guest list where anyone on the list can enter your house even when you are logged out. This way they can use amenities that they may not have. Portals, altar, etc.

So fyi to anyone complaining about wrist ache. Oak dungeon doors can be made by holding down 1 and only moving your mouse to click on the butter. 560k exp per hour and no pain.

I resubbed to OSRS today and wanted to get started on the construction skill. Thankfully waiting paid off as the death mechanics changed and now it's easier, though slower to up your construction skill level. Need me my player homes!

for low lvl iron man novice contracts are better then adept considering plank wise. and xp wise involved with oak planks.

Some constructive criticism on the editing of this video (no pun intended): At about 7:20 you put useful numbers up on the screen and they stayed up for about 20 seconds. From 6:30-8:30 nothing is happening on screen (apart from those 20 seconds). Its just us looking at your character afking in falador park while you talk. Take more of that stuff you were speaking and put it on screen.

Your comparison for gp/xp isn’t rational though. It’s WAY slower than even oak larders which is 7.5 gp/xp. So barely any cheaper than a method that is 2.5-3x the rate.

I really hope they added some fluff text to the tower of life for players that are wearing the carpenter set complete. Something like: NPC: "Now before you enter the tower, you'll need to wear some protective gear." Player: "Uhm, I'm already wearing construction gear" NPC: "Gah, that cheap shoddy mess you're wearing? Looks like Amy's handiwork. Sorry, we can't have you wear the stuff our competition makes on our construction site."

Love your vids mate! Question for you or someone else who knows, if im flipping purely to maintain 1-2 accounts on bonds (an Ironman + an account to flip on) is RS3 or OSRS easier to flip?

Idk about rs3 but it seems unecessairy. I flipped for about 3 weeks and was hitting consistent 20-30m a day with ph peak around 8m and min like 3. Though the tracker pauses when you logout so the per day is more relevant. But either way, np for bonds

It’s about getting a cheaper method not a faster method. This way is much more cheaper and less click intensive.

killler240 what, it’s much cheaper per exp earned about 4-5 times cheaper he said(Idk I’ve not done it myself yet) over the regular construction method which yes is 4x faster exp rates but your spending way more gp for those exp gains. I agree though he didn’t factor in the cost of the teles and all that but your time in OSRS can’t be valued so we can only go off of stats and actually prices. Wasn’t trying to argue with you my bro was just saying it’s technically cheaper but yes Takes much longer to level up. I’ll probably never play this mini game either way lol. OneLove bro

killler240 I know bro an it’s all good I didn’t take any offense and I knew what you were saying an yes you can value your time yourself but it would be different for everyone so that’s the only reason I saud we can’t value are time on game since ppl value it at different rates. An yeah if your doing a skilling money maker it’s easier to judge your time spent on Game but I don’t sell gold or anything so it’s technically worth nothing to me besides having cash in game. I’m just not understanding how it’s lower xp. I understand that say for medium contracts you get 72xp per plank however, if you complete a contract you get 2250 xp. That’s wayyy better xp than other methods isn’t it?

No gp/xp takes into account the different speeds. maxing using homes would be 2.5 times cheaper than maxing with the conventional method.

if u use poh u can do up to 3 tasks at a time, bring 3 bars and u'd usually have enough planks filling the rest of inv with them, anyways i already had enough of that minigame and i think it's gonna become dead content in a few months

13-14 hours for the construction outfit is likely time well spent if you're going for 99

Not particularly, especially since you can get 99 in such a quick time anyway. In terms of money saved it'd be only 5-6 mil if you're spending 200m for 99 on mahogany planks. If you do Oak dungeon doors it's even less.

From what I saw here. This is a massive failure. It's better than the original way. It's just as tedious and obnoxious. It's not worth the SEVERE difference in speed. It's honestly not that much cheaper. Part of the biggest problem is you have to travel across the entire game. I seriously doubt he took into consideration that you HAVE TO TRAVEL everywhere. I just don't like it. It j ust feels so ... half-assed.

@@jozzeed4521 Right. Not all of us have teleports. However, I have 85 Construction... I have teleports. IT doesn't change the fact that this new system is MORE INVOLVED than the old way. It may be less click-intensive. But from what we saw in this video... not by much. Sure you can get a break from clicking by going to the next place... but 300+k an hour xp vs 175k with nearly the same level of annoyance... no not a good system.

This content isnt for rich players. This is a huge buff to low/mid tier players. It seems to be a well balanced update without any game or meta breaking uses.

IrishMalt the problem is that the amount of experience you get by the time you have enough points to get the whole outfit is enough to get you to level 90. Feels lackluster for a skulking outfit.
