Tetra mod Part 1: Basics! Bit-by-Bit by Mischief of Mice! 

One thing I absolutely love about your channel, is that every time I hop some random server my friends make and I have 0 idea what I'm doing with whatever they've tossed in the modpack; you're always the guy who's got a detailed walkthrough on exactly what I need. I appreciate your content!

I feel like the main flaw with this mod is that to progress you have to shoot in the dark and hope you stumble upon the right place. I feel like that could have been done better

Interesting, if this mod finds a way to integrate modded materials, I think I will have found a mod that actually fixes a problem I have with tinker’s that being overwhelming narrowness, why use other mods stuff when tinker’s is just so much superior you end up never working with other mods materials tool or weapon wise which is kind of sad to me. Tetra here not only provides the versatility of tinkers but also brings back some of the more vanilla mechanics with enchanting, the 2 things that would set this mod over tinkers for me would be more modded materials and more integrations with mods that add different types of weapons like spartan weaponry, meaning you can finally use other mod’s stuff but still have that customization no longer running around with the same weapons and tools.

You got me to download Tetra, It is really confusing at first but following your tutorial seriously helped!

I don't know if you've already covered them, but I'd recommend taking a look at Silent's Mechanisms and Silent's Gear. Mechanisms (still WIP) adds many common machines, and materials that most other mods use, like enderium, signalum, etc. Gear on the other hand is similar Tinker's and Tetra, but it uses blueprints to construct tools and is simpler imo.

I think the tetra mod is now my favourite mod. There's so much to try and experiment with this. It changes the game so much

I tried this mod without watching this video first. It's pretty clear in the beginning. They include all the materials we need, what's missing to upgrade your tool, but then I got stuck when I wanted to go to tier 5 which is why I'm here. LOL Amazing mod ^_^

Even four years later, I dunno if the other tabs are actually being used. It does seem to get updated for other versions of mc, but I dunno offhand by who, and it has a lot of compat mods. Which is really nice.

Literally the new Tinker's Construct, I'm loving it!

I got cranky at this because nothing in the game showed me to put a vanilla tool in the funny craftbench. i was trying to make the parts individually to assemble an item a la tinkers. The advancements clearly arent enough of a guide if i have to come on youtube to find a guide >:(

I'm so happy you are covering 1.14.4 mods, as I believe that people are too stuck in the 1.12.2 mindset, which I think is hindering progress.

I am definitely going to start over my. Modded 1.16.5 playthrough and replace tinkers construct with Tetra. I haven't even gotten that far.

I really like this mod, hopefully they can expand the mod compatibilities and include armour in the future.

I died a little inside every time he said "Ad-zee." Other than that, great tutorial!

Btw, this mod is compatible with Mahou Tsukaikata's durability exchange spell. The tools don't break (unlike pretty much every other mod.) I filled a chest full of hammers and came back later to a chest of broken hammers that were repairable with a single cobble (super useful.)

To everyone saying 'i cant upgrade my hammer to teir 2???!?!??!?!!/1/1/' Maybe take a look at the holosphere, because it shows you every tool part, and the stats for it. Eg, if you cant upgrade your hammer, check the holosphere for information by going to 2 headed tools, head (either side), hammer head, and then the large list of every material that is usable for it.

I'd love to see a "Tetra's Construct" or "Tinker's Tetra" combo mod where it uses the flexibility of Tetra's modification and the well-tuned tech progression of the actual Tinker's smelters and materials. Both mods are great on their own, but I feel like they'd both improve drastically if they were combined.

errr, small question here? Do i need 2 hammer, one to upgrade the other one? Because a iron hammer need a lv 2 hammer to make it, and it doesnt count the one being upgrade.

Please don't say "we've all done this before" No I haven't. A tutorial is just what it says. Expect your viewers to know nothing about it. Just a tip cuz I have this mod and it is very overwhelming. I'm a slow learner. Also don't compare to another mod. Makes it more confusing if you've never heard of any of those mods.

I cant upgrade my mallet, i tried cobble and andersite but it dosent show anything, i tried to use iron but that also needed a level 2 mallet so i cant progress

Okay, so on the topic of honing. If I replace something, does it retain its honing? Like, say I replace the wood handle on a hammer with a bone handle. And then I replace the hammer's head with a stone. And then I replace the binding with rabbit hide. Is it still my hammer? If not, at what point is it not my hammer anymore? To go even further, if it is no longer my hammer, what would happen if I put the original wooden head and handle back on my hammer, and remove the rabbit hide? Is it now my hammer, or a different hammer that is made exactly of my old hammer? What if I took the parts from my hammer and made a ship out of it? Is it now my ship or my hammer? Or is it even mine still? What if I make it a ship and then change the parts? Or I change the parts of my hammer, make the new parts into a ship, and then restore the old parts? Now stay with me, what if I changed the name of my hammer from my hammer to Theseus's hammer. And then made it a ship. Is it my ship, my hammer, Theseus's hammer or Theseus's ship?

mod looks nice, but the materials (like blades and whatnot) should be improved. They all look exactly the same in their lil squares. After watching more: The GUI sucks alot. Options are hidden behind plenty of other options. Info seems jumbled and packed tight. The progression is one of the worst I had seen in a mod so far. It's like playing neverending minigame of upgrading your tools, cause each one of them affects the other.. Idea is great but there's alot of work to be done imo.

So it looks like this is wildly out of date. Holospheres are now later game items as they require netherite to craft and are not given when building a hammer (mallets are no longer an item)? This is just another mod that seems like it would be cool but there's no way to get started unless you already know the mod because there's no starting point or help.
