The difference is Austin night life is geared toward college age people, I have lived in both places, and Dallas is more for the mature, much more things to do for older people in Dallas
Very informative video Richard! Just a note about the audio as it seemed not as good as previous videos. Your videos are so good, you should consider a good mic for audio to match the content quality! All the best from San Francisco! 😉
This is great! I’m from California…I loved Austin. But I’m thinking of moving to Dallas..never been there yet. But heard so much great stuff! Good comparison. Thank you!
Been in Dallas a few months so far and yeah-pretentious. Now I like nice things but yea LOL. Haven't been to Austin yet, but it seems like a chill place to visit or live. Great vid!
Austin doesn’t seem very diverse in regards to melanin lol 👀. Which has been a concern for me in regards to Austin. I’m relocating from Atl. don’t care about night life at ALL. I really don’t want to live anywhere where it’s clearly dominated by one race I like a mixture of peoples. Which I’ve seen in Dallas. I’ll stick to Dallas. I love north park mall. Thank you for this video. Very detailed
@Kemnede Wu, welcome to Dallas. I too lived in Atlanta and moved to Dallas! You made a great choice! Great diversity! I call it the best place to live when you’re ready to grow up! You can also fly just about anywhere in the US in 2 to 2.5 hours!
Austin has grown at a fast, vertiginous speed. That city has grown so fast that I believe soon downtown Austin will look bigger in terms of its skyline than downtown Dallas. But DFW as a metro with 8 million people has so much more to offer than Austin. Dallas is surrounded by these gorgeous places such as: Plano, Frisco, Arlington, Rockwall, Grapevine Addison, McKinney, Allen, Richardson, University Park, Highland Park and Westlake, Southlake, Fort Worth etc. The truth of the matter Dallas is the best place in Texas period.
The scenery looks a bit drab in Austin. Where’s the greenery? Please tell me I’m wrong. I’m overwhelmed with going between Austin and Dallas. I cannot decide
I’m a Canadian looking for a second home in Texas. I live in Vancouver which is basically being revived as a brand new technological marvel. I’m looking for a newer futuristic style city. What would you recommend, Austin or Dallas. Cheers
Those are the two best cities in Texas. Tough question... I really like Austin. However, it's grown to fast and the infrastructure is bad. I'd personally choose Dallas, but it's a hard choice.
I'm from California and considering Texas as an affordable place, since California is way overpriced in terms of real estate. I think most these political arguments are rather superficial and at the end of the day we want very similar things for ourselves and our families. If we connect on a human level instead of labels, it'll go a long way towards the Nation coming together and working together to solve the issues we're facing. I advocate for dialogue instead of disengagement! Because we'll never understand each other if we shut each other off and go to our own corner.
