Correct the eyelash strip application was remove as of 9/1/23 you no longer have to do that section .

After months of procrastinating i finally decided to study and take my practical exam. I watched this video for two weeks straight and PASSED first attempt! I just wanted to come back to update you from my last comment I left on your pinned post. As of 12/08, after binge watching this video and some of your others, I am officially a licensed esthetician. Thank you so much for all that you do. These videos are a blessing for those like me who had almost no guidance in school when it came to this exam. RU-vid can be so scary when it comes to relying on someone else who you don’t know is truly a credible source and the last time I failed because of it, but I’m recommending you to any and everybody that needs help! Make sure you keep the biohazard bag closed at all times after each time you put trash in it. Open to place the gauze, alcohol pad etc after being used and closed it.

I’m from Chicago I took my test on feb 29th and passed with an 80 . I have the Milady app and estheticians app . I studied all her videos on her yt and put it to the test on my Milady app and kept scoring in the eighties. I passed my state board because of her videos

On your practical was there an exposure incident component? I take my test tomorrow in Texas, and there has been debate if this is a section or only that you need to be prepared with a kit........?????

hello!! first i just want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH.!!!!💖💖😭 for making this video and helping others who are wanting to do their own journey. 💕 I watched this video for a week before i took my practical here in TX, and it took me a lot to finally work up the courage to do it and anxiety for taking it. I DID!! but i don’t have my license. 💔😭 the proctor told us that the PSI system crashed as we were ending our practical. so i didn’t get my test results. He told me i passed as i walked out. it’s been over a week. i haven’t even gotten an email and i’ve been calling and calling psi and they told me he marked me as ABSENT.!!! 😭 idk what to do anymore. i took it the 27th of September to start training at a job this week that’s been trying to hire me.. i don’t even have anything to show for it or that i should have my license.

Wow I am so sorry that happen to you, if the system crashed at the end of the test that means you went through registration and they should have taken a picture of you? You need to call multiple times a day and perhaps even call the actual location of where you took the test to explain everything and get answers that is so unfair stuff like this gets me so upset , don’t give up on it and hopefully you get answers soon sending positive vibes your way 💕

Yes it can even be water but you must still label the bottle as makeup remover . 🍀🍀

I was taught that the table and area needed to be disinfected totally before putting anything down on the table like the before the pre exam bag touches the table it needs to be disinfected.

Yes you can definitely do that , thats what I used to make my student do until one sanitized so much that the tape would not stick from table being so wet! Continue to do the test the way your instructor showed you 😊

With the paper towel that is set out to sit your items to perform the service can you put the used item back on the paper towel on the opposite end and then throw it all away at once after you have finished the whole service instead of having to throw so many things away?

What do you mean by used items? Cotton rounds, spatulas? No I would not recommend doing that, they do not want any “trash” left out your goal is to keep the station clean and sanitary as you go, hope that helps . Yes I know it’s a lot of throwing out and sanitizing the hands 😩

Hi Girl! Thank you so much for your video! I just took my test and your video helped me so much. I still don’t have the result, but I will definitely come back to share here once I have it. I was so nervous, I dropped some stuff on the floor but I had some extra paper towel and I sanitized with the EPA before putting on the table. I have one question. During the waxing service, I already had sanitized the table and placed all implements. I had my gloves on and when I got the spatula, it fell on the table. I ended up using that spatula, instead of throwing it away and getting a new one. Do you think that could be a problem? Will they consider it contaminated? And because I dropped the implements on the floor (even that I sanitized it before putting on the table), do you think it can make me fail the test? Thank you

Why would you need an end of exam bag? if all you need is In front of you to perform the disinfection with 😊 the bag can be label if so “pre sanitized”

Can yall help me and tell me what to expect on the the test. My school does not have a teacher (she was present 5 days since August 14), we don't have products, and literally only go to clock in for hours. We have had ZERO instruction even when the "teacher" was there those 5 days. We clock in and just sit at the table ALONE and clock out at 10 pm ALONE and leave. I already work in a medspa so have been teaching the girls what I know (with my own products) but don't know anything about the exam or how to help them or myself. Is this video accurate on what to expect?

Hi !! so whenever I was taught, I was taught to throw away everything in the big trashcan after each service instead of putting it in the bag that was labeled cleansing service for example should I just do what you instructed instead? I didn’t pass my exam the first time so I’m just a little bit nervous and I wanna make sure I have everything.

A lot of students throw everything in the trash like you mentioned and many opt in for putting the bottle back into their kit and sanitizing hands before and after and they also do great on the test till this day all of my students have passed their practical so I’m sure whichever way you decide to do you should be ok as long as you are performing the required sections of the test 🍀🍀

Are you supposed to sanitize your hands with gloves when you throw something away? At my school, during waxing services we wore gloves therefore we didn't sanitize after throwing away the strips, but I don't want to lose points during the practical. Also during the services, can we place the used items on the paper towel instead of trashing it after each use and instead just trash it altogether after we're done with each service?

Hi yes I train my students to sanitize even with gloves on, I also prefer they do NOT leave any “trash” sitting on the table to throw it at once , yes it’s a lot of hand sanitizing but hey thats ok 🙂

Hii i take my exam later today and I was wondering if my mannequin head has to have no markings? I cleaned my mannequin head but I also used it to practice lashes on it and I got a few black spots of adhesive that won't come out. Would that affect my grade during the test?

Not sure if I understand, What I demonstrated was I had all items needed for the section in a gallon bag In that bag I had a biohazard bag and a trash bag both same size sandwich size bags the bio bag was inside the trash bag “double bag” I had the items used in a small white first aid kit box , band aid, gauze, alcohol wipe. All of those items after use went into the double bags.

When do you use “CLEANSING SERVICE “ vs. “FACIAL SERVICE “ ?? I’m a little confused. Do we use The FACIAL SERVICE instead of the CLEANSING SERVICE? For Estheticians, if that makes a difference. Not really sure what you mean , but for the state practical in Tx the cleansing service the main focus is them wanting to see you perform cleansing manipulations on the skin like shown. The esthetician whole practical test is simply a full service facial service broken down into sections 😊🍀🍀🍀
