Having a routine and procedures is extremely important. I can see this with the little ones that I work with, whenever we get into our small groups they know exactly what to do and what is expected of them.

Having worked with the 7th grade age group having routines is so important !!! I loved the example that was given about how we can hold the students accountable to how students must reflect on their own contributions to the activities and they only way this can occur is if the students are aware of the routines and expectations we have set for them!

I think it's clear that technology has more and more of a place in the learning environment. It's an important strategy for instructors to dedicate some focus to as education styles move forward. So many new manner of learning are being affected by classroom technology. It's becoming more than just a feature of learning, but the essence of much of it.

Deep drive into Domain II. One of the important part of this domain is to understand that in order to maximize learning we have to have expectations and procedures in place. Therefore, we are not wasting time on not learning and there would be not confusion as to what students need to do to be successful. So knowing what is developmentally appropriate for the age group is very important. We can not expect for a 1st grader to set through a lectures for every long. Also, we are the students models therefore, we have to model appropriate behaviors and be constant with all students.

Making sure that we maintain procedures within the classroom among all grade levels so that we can maximize learning and instructional time. Efficacy within the classroom remains among the procedures to make sure the students aren’t losing out on their learning. Volunteers and paraprofessionals are important to the student’s success to insure that the students maintain learning.

It is true that having routines an procedures are extremely important when it comes to the student's behavior and academic success. I loved the example of having a space for extra work leftover so students who were absent can simply grab the assignment.

Great deep dive of domain II! It is important to be the student's model and provided them with important life lessons by show casing them through your actions.

I agree that it's important to keep a data sheet of the occurrences of the behavior and what triggered it. Sometimes, we get so busy that we forget to, but it's important for documentation to share with ARD committee and parents.

Procedures in place help teacher and students to flow in learn in efficient way. Have rules in place and consequences

Domain ll is approximately 13% of the test, working as an aide I see first hand how teachers create a classroom environment of respect and rapport that fosters positive climate for learning.

This is a fantastic deep dive into Domain 2 and even though it only makes up a small percentage of the test, this is a great way to study up on Domain 2 and to stay prepared for the questions over this domain.

As a sped instructional aide. We fill the gaps enriching instruction with there needs. We also help them open their milk carton to organizing their backpacks.

Domain II largely reals with the classroom and learning environment. Things like Routines and procedures, activities, technology geared towards classroom management. Make sure students know what to do when, routine are set up that assures whenever possible that learning time is maximized. Communication is key so that all students as well as parents and colleagues. Information is important and should be readily available. clearly know classroom expectations. classroom should be student centered like group learning guided by the teacher but driven by the student engagement. Age and grade appropriate level of management and difficulty. Model for the students respectful behavior both in an out of class and why its important, rules are enforced equally. Involve the students so they are more likely to take ownership of the rules.

This is a great video! With the grade level I teach, makes me think about how it would be if I had to teach another grade level. Always have to be prepared in case of a grade level change. Thank you!

Technology is a great resource and tool for our students. However, our students in our district have been blessed to be assigned a chrome book every year for them to use but at times are used for the wrong reason.
