very helpful information in regards to pedagogy. it is always very helpful to know your student well so we can know how we can assist them and how we can help them succeed in school and in learning the material
One of the concepts that stuck out to me was the UDL. All students are different in some way, even those who are related to each other. Incorporating a learning style that is adaptable for each individual, no matter what barriers and strengths are present, allows for a deeper understanding of not only what they know but what they can learn as the year goes on.
This video brings me joy as I recall how well many of my junior high students responded to learning and displayed what they learn once they have the platform. They like to be heard and seen! As teachers, we may need to take one or two extra steps to keep them engaged and resonate with them, as Ms. Sauceda mentioned.
Awesome material! Understanding how students operate, their backgrounds and learning styles early on actually helps you as a teacher more than anything. Of course, you're constantly shifting your mindset to accommodate for them. However, they are the reason we are in place. Many of these standards also apply to your players, if you're in the coaching space.
Although this may not be the grade range I will teach, printing out the guides and standards allows me to reference any unfamiliar material that I'm unsure of. It's great to have an outline that details everything those students need to learn for the year ends.
Knowing how to use these standard and make them applicable to the upcoming exam has given me a boost in confidence. I have not read them all in detail but will go back over them before scheduling. This was a great analysis to have in your "back pocket". Also, I appreciate how you advocated for teachers, who are so essential to the lives of every child who enters the classroom!
i have to prepare lot 713 for texas teacher. they asked about general education what does mean? how i prepare this test. Texas teacher dont tell you anything or give you a book to study nothing... somebody can help me?
In this video, I learned and was able to go over the different levels and strategies for ELL students. I like the sample activities provided in one of the documents you went over. Very good information .
in regards to the question if it should be reported, i believe that it should be reported that way there is a record of the behavior. the reason i say this is because I had a student that was autistic but he knew right from wrong and he made a gesture to a paraprofessional by running his finger from one side of his neck to the other by gesturing in a threating way and then he pointed at her and he did it twice. he would also stalk a female student which made the other student uncomfortable. but higher up didn't want to do anything because he was sped and she didn't want to look bad.
The way i read it....I would think since it uses the word "most Likely" that it might have more then one answer....like "A" could be students would make the social connections to the different backgrounds or cultures in the community, although not the best answer, could be also confusing... I agree D is the best answer, A cant be totally dismissed.
I will definitely be making a Pinterest account to be able to look up more activities for students to use! I also have more insight on how students learn to read by recognizing patterns in language.
it is always a great idea to get feedback from your peers and students to see if we as teachers are mastering what we need to teach our students. its good to get feedback from students because if they are not comprehending a certain topic we as teachers can change the way we teach so we can hit those targets so they learn the material. feedback from our peers is to learn new ways on how we can relate information to our students and different strategies that can assist them in learning
very good information in regards to the preperation on what to look for in the question as in regards to key words. i pause the video and answer the question and wait for your explanation to see if i answered it correctly.
thank you for all these videos and helping us with analyzing the text and the standards and just going over the test questions and key words to help us teach and test better.
This video was incredibly useful! Pinterest really is SO underrated, it provides so many ideas on strategies different ways you could implement these strategies into the students learning.
I enjoyed the flow of this lesson. The use of the word “Application” was the most important here. It means little to have the information if you’re not applying it.
It's beyond important to understand each student, this concept fits ANY subject so I completely agree with building each lesson and make it unique per student to help them understand and pick up the right concept and teachings. Great lesson!
With all your videos, I have really seen how important and useful pinterest can be when it comes to lesson planning and seeing ideas from other teachers being used and passed around. Such a tight community, I love it!
TEKS and standards are absolutely the most important thing for this exam and learning how to use our skills to teach. Such a great video on studying and learning TEKS and Standards!
There should be mandatory check ins between students and teachers throughout the year. We could be treating our class the same and not recognize where one or more students need special attention. Parents have their own set of responsibilities where they could be more involved. Of course, this is not always easy or possible in some cases.
