I am a certified EC-6th ELAR teacher. This is my 5th year teaching. I'm challenging the ELAR 4-8 since I moved to 7th grade from 5th RLA. Do I need to take the STR?

If I am already Special Ed certified (EC-12) and also already passed the PPR (160) prior to Jan 1, 2021, but need to take the CORE:EC-6, do I still need to take the STR 293 exam?

What about out of state people? I’ve been teaching for over 20 years and my ELAR test were not accepted from my previous test. I’m certified in Sped after January 2021 in Texas. It seems like this test is for people who have recently graduated. Do I have to take this test?

Hey Michelle! Since the real exam is scaled there is no direct correlation between your practice test score and the real exam. We do recommend getting an 80% or above (which you have) on the practice test to show you are ready for the real exam.
