Derek, my mind is blown...I saw your thumbnails several times and always thought: "naaah, that's impossible, the image looks too beautiful, it must be click bait." Man...I was so wrong... so fucking wrong...I learned a ton of new things in just 30 minutes of this video alone. I know what I'll binge from now on...

WOW!!! Where have you been all my life! I was so intimidated doing a shoe in Blender and this is simply amazing (changed my life with no exaggeration). Thank you, this tutorial was a blast! A little tip, if you will - animated renders of your shoe have some static noise, which looks a bit distracting. You can get rid of that by clicking a clock icon in Properties Window > Render Tab > Sampling > Advanced > Seed
Never seen such realistic material using procedural textures, definitely gonna use those techniques in future projects. I didn't know we have that level of flexibility with blender textures

I usually add dummy located where my subject is and every light is rigged to point to it - then I can move them however I want and they are always are pointing towards the subject :)
4 days and am now at texturing of the sole. Aw man, the amount of details is quite tiring....😅 hats off to 3d artists. I have like 35 mins more hope I will pull through. Thanks for the extremely detailed tutorial! Almost everything works the same on my side..😂
