In this video, i wanted to see what it actually takes to get TF2's RAREST HATS! So come join me in my tear wretching journey to try and find out.. watch me buy hundreds of stamps, fight thousands of fights and give thousands of gifts! I think the hats are a very cool edition to TF2) so join me in trying to get the dueler, the philateler and the gifting man from a gifting land!

Maybe a hat for most rounds played in a day ? Or hell, just split it into 2 A hat for most rounds won a day and one for most lost in a day. I have some others ideas like most times crafting in a day ? (Would need a specific rule so you can’t just recycle over and over.) Most kills in a day Most deaths Just some ideas. IDK how the hats would look though.

Heres a quick way to fix the "Duel" problem of that Hat: - Make the Duels only count in Casual and Competitive Matches just like the Contracts work

watching the spy's emotion from days 1-6 in the transitions actually touched me in a way that made me feel something, especially on day 5 and 6, just seeing the stress and tiredness was so done good to detail

No way I'm the guy on reddit with 777 duels ahaha. I did it by using 2 computers and 2 accounts on a steam workshop map that I downloaded with host_timescale set to 16. It took about 90 minutes.

I may have been bad with money in my 20's and maxed out a couple credit cards buying pile of gifts, among other things. Got it a couple times after spending roughly $100 at a time. Looked pretty sick painted yellow with my sunbeams mining light on underneath.

If the duel hat had to be obtained only through duel wins on Valve official servers, then it would probably make the hat obtainable more ‘legitimately’. Of course those who probably often get the hat through Sv_cheats would probably not like that and I doubt Valve would make that change over something they probably forgot existed

The maps one is the actually hard one to get. Gifting Mann from a Gifting Land, according to a guy who has gotten in I think he's up to 12 times now, it only takes ~400 gifts in a single day unless someone else is doing a bulk gifting. I can also confidently say that 50 duel wins in a day is definitely enough if not overkill, and they are NOT hard to farm out, you just need enough bodies and a relatively quiet community server that doesn't have team balancing (a friendly server would be a very effective place)

I remember I tried to do the same in 2013. I found out about the hat while doing tf2r related giveaway. I remember getting it around 500+, held on it for 2 days and then somebody surpassed me. I then again got at later date after another giveaway. I tried to the same with duels but found out that it's a lot harder given that already back in 2013 there were people that had more than 100 duels and I didn't have the time nor patience for that. But it's cool that this those hats still exist and travel from people to people.

I remember the day I got the dueler once. It was 3 years ago. I was only farming legit duels wins in Degroot Keep to upgrade my dueling badge, and one day I got it. It was a single day full of excitement.
