You just stare at him and he just stares right back. And that's when the attack comes; not from the front, but from the side _shwip_ from the other two spies you didn't even know were there.
I can confirm because there was this one time that a “demo” was chasing the “spy” on my team and I knew he was gonna chase him so I decloaked and backstabbed him (this happened on upward)
@@moronribbons5774 well. Not exactly. The ap-sap makes noise. Observers just observe and interact with players in no way other than appearing and looking at you
I like how the engineer and spy classes have a frenemy relationship. Everyone else tries to kill spy no matter what when he’s being a pestilence but the engineer just enjoys the spy’s annoyance and just chills with him
If you ever want to try this again, you could get a instant 'decloak and recloak' bind, and since (like you said) people are more attuned to normal spy tells, more people would try and get you, causing more problems!
I’ve done similar things…..except in my case I was spamming Spy voice commands. I think I caused a Medic to loose his mind by constantly going “The Medic is a Spy!”
The reason you couldn't use your noise maker anymore is because your disguise had a dueling game in their action slot, so the action key was trying to use that instead.
Since I started playing tf2 in 2020 I always loved going 2fort and just spam medic "The engineer is a MEDIC Move this gear up Yes MEDIC No That engineer is a bloody MEDIC No (*kill bind*) (Explode bind)"
This is similar to what I've always liked to do when bored. Haven't done it with the noise maker but I prefer these methods to screw with engies specifically; 1) spam C+5 (laughing ominously, whistling), the spy voice command, and the threat voice command (C+2 while looking at an enemy with your melee equipped) 2)as soon as an engie leaves the nest, sap just one building. Its not enough to destroy it usually, so its like constantly blueballing the engie. 3)If your victim is idle or stops caring about your taunting, walk out of range and take a couple potshots at his buildings. Again, don't destroy them, just be a nuissance. 4) While they spy check around you, evade while using the "Nice Shot!" voice command to taunt them further
i love using this in medieval community servers, disguising as a bot on my own team, triggering deadringer, and then running in the way of whoever killed me and spamming the noisemaker
In their defence, the noise and snow effect is broken and just appears in random spots on the map, it spooks me but I just end up ignoring the lil snow poofs
As a Pryo Main, Thank you for appreciating how unhinged we are at random spy checking. That made my day at only 2:00 minutes into the video! Also, you could bind the noise maker to your walk key so it goes off whenever you move... This was Fun to watch!
we had 2 spies doing this on a doublefrost server i turned friendly by accident and got really exited when i saw this vid, imagine my disappointment when doublefrost isnt one of the maps covered
in the console: alias loop "+use_action_slot_item;wait 100;loop";loop it will spam the noisemaker by itself if you have it equipped alias loop " " will make it stop
You could also add that one cosmetic that just jingles all the time and the bombinomicon for extra annoyance. And a spycicle to get out of pyro situations ofcourse.
If the guy you're disguising as has the duel thing the game will think you have it, it happens to me all the time when I try to "quack" my Duck Journal
I think it's haft new players simply not knowing and some of it is "Oh it must be source jank." We all have seen hats spawn out of no where, pyro flames shooting from no were, unu effects stuck in midair, demo shelds floating in midair, etc. Would it be that far out of left field to assume that funny snow effect is just some new sort of source jank brought on by the new season update?
Those Pyros at the beginning: i imaginr they"ce got earbuds in (despite those not existing in-game). Scouts are fervently serious about the intel. They WILL find it, and they WILL attempt to cap it.
If only you could still get the old noise makers. Some were old as fuck. But finding another noise maker in someone inventory that isn't the smissmass or birthday one is like finding an ancient artifact at a dig site
What happened at the end with the duel is that you disguised as someone with a duel game equipped and because spy technically equips everything the enemy is wearing the game thinks you're using a duel minigame
I seen a variant where with the Heavy Diguise you spam X+5 to make a engineer killbind out of madness Still invisible because hearing while not seeing is worse
