Wow! Now I finally know how to use the Demo Man's "Loose Cannon" in Gabe Newell's popular video game Team Fortress 2! I'm mimicking the smiling emoticon but with my actual face in real life! Thanks Happy Cultist for making another nice video!!!
Easily the best weapon in the game. Not in terms of strength (not even close) but rather in terms of design, uniqueness, and satisfaction. Absolute gem.
I haven't used any gun but the loose cannon for over a year now, and just now learned about the roller explosions causing double donks if you hit with another cannon ball. Thank you!
Excellent guide. I'll have it in mind next time I want to play seriously on TF2. Besides, this guide is very fun to watch because of your editing. Good video in general.
One thing to add, the weapon lets you decide whether you want to stunt the enemy or send them away depending on where you hit them. If you want to keep them in place, aim at the head, if you want to send them flying, aim at the feet.
Personally for me I use the loose cannon as a secondary for demopan. It offers great mobility and high damage for groups and chonky boys which pan struggles at so this guide really helped me learn
As a guy who played 1500 hours on mvm, the loose cannon is generally used a utility weapon as to stall large groups of giant robots for your stick trap or as a mobility tool.
You forgot to mention that you can avoid committing to launching a bomb if you switch weapons while charging, its really useful if you always want to be charging a shot just in case.
I remember when I first got this game in November I couldn’t aim the regular grenade launcher for jack. For some reason I decided to buy demo’s starter pack and one of the first weapons it gave me was the loose cannon, so I decided to use it cuz it’s a freakin cannon and it reminds me of K. Rool’s gun. I’m telling you, it was like night and day, I would go from maybe 1 kill if I was lucky to 7 a match and it felt great. That gun kinda showed me how to aim and it’s my favorite weapon for demo besides the swords and killing people with the bottle.
I've been using this weapon for quite some time and one day on 2fort, one guy gave me a challange to do three double donks in a row so I started practicing and I did it. He told me as a reward I could choose any strange I want so you could probably guess which strange I requested... Strange Pumpkin Plastered Loose Cannon (field tested) :3
Oh, so it was you who was blowing my eardrums out EV training in Grindhaus Ranch for hundreds of hours! Anyway, very cool video, really enjoyed. I'll be sure to apply it next time I pick up the class Wait nevermind it was aaaa fuck aaaa for making that theme
and now i must make a video defending my use of the loose cannon in MvM: my defence: its fun asf (might legit make that video tho, when i play demoman in mvm its ALWAYS with my loose)
To me this will always be the demos true primary if valve had this idea of a weapon vs the regular grenade launcher I bet they would of chose this. It also makes demo man feel like his own class instead of just feeling like a watered down solider at times. I wonder if this same logic could be applied to the Scottish resistance as well.
9:40 funny you say that. I once eliminated a small three engie nest with the Loose Cannon all by myself. The bombs piercing capabilities double donked the engineers, allowing me to kaboom their buildings with little threat.
I would also recommend always charging loose cannon on every corner and just switch to melee to cancel charge . It will help in sudden close combats. Combining tide turner shield charge with this gives you more damage then just mini crit melee. On some maps like 2fort , detonating cannon in water gives you great horizontal speed
i use loose cannon with tide turner or chargin targe and necessarily with caber, because i caber main and even though I've been using loose cannon for quite a while, I've learned some things in this video, thanks
Something I've learned, is that it is worth trying to land hits at maximum range so the likely hood of the ball bouncing too far is lessened and the likely hood of donking is increased. This can be acheived by shooting in an arc. Also I disagree on this being a bad MvM weapon. Sure you trade away some damage but it gives you a very safe way to knock back robots (especially giants) if you land double donks consistently, giving the rest of your team more room to breathe. You should still get a sticky launcher instead of shield in MvM if you're going for Loose Cannon though.
1. Goddamn underrated 2. What shields and swords you reccomend (the pan is ofc good , and so is the bottle , but I broke the bottle in a fit of rage and I am making omlettes in the pan
I use chargin’ targe for just about everything because of those tasty resistances. As for melee, anything goes. I tend not to stray too far from my brand tho.
if i had a penny for everytime i *saw a tf2 character exploding while "Firework" is in the background* i would have *4 pennys,* that isn't much but it's weird that it happened *four times*
