What is a TFCC tear? The Triangular FibroCartilage Complex, or TFCC, is an important structure in the wrist that can be torn from natural wear or by an injury. Learn more about TFCC tears here: www.assh.org/handcare/conditi...
Injured my wrist 10 months ago. I finally got xray and MRI, I have 2.5 mm or larger TFCC tear and liquid. About to follow up with Orthopedic. Afraid for surgery.
I injuryed wrist one month ago and now i am undergoing ultrasound treatment, i didnt got mri but the symptoms are like tfcc. I decided to stopping exercise one month😢
@NM4L- I'm so sorry to hear. Right now, no need for surgery. I'm using a wrist widget for one month to help it heal with anti-inflammatory medicine, ice, and rest. I also have tendinitis with this tear. Orthopedic said if it doesn't get better in a month, I will need a shot for the pain and will continue with the wrist widget.
@@loogie290 My situation is similar. This thing is a pain in the ass, have had it like 8 months already but just a couple weeks ago was when i tried (again) rehab exercises, but It just won't recover and that is driving me crazy. Please man, tell me that there is hope and you are doing better.
I had tfcc surgery after a fall and also dislocated my wrist. It has been a terrible experience. I still have limited movement and pain and dont feel like it will ever go back to normal. Has been 3 mths and I am miserable. Do some people just take longer to heal or is this it.
I had a partial tear, degenerative from working out and no surgery. Taken me about a year to feel like 90%. I can move my wrist just fine for the most part but working out is still a pain, especially with movements like chest press and push ups, really shitty injury
@@anthonyrusso1745were you able to splint within first week of pain? I’m in the same situation and started splinting after 2 months of pain and now it’s been 4 weeks in a splint . Don’t want to go for surgery
I didn't even have a tear in MRI (I took 2 MRI in 7 months) but my tfcc still hurt everyday, I got an accident about 1 year 1 month ago. Going to check again next week, very hopeless now :(
Going through the same, burst when slipped weights when re racking. Looks like 3 months minimum. Until then get your lower body, cardio & abs game up. Upper body is easy to redevelop.
