They had to stop. As the series got more popular the legal pressure from toei increased. Most abridged products are overlooked by the IP owners because they do relatively small numbers and the creators aren't making money off of it. But on top of millions of RU-vid views, TFS started making merch and expanding their team. Were they legally in the right to continue? Maybe, but I'm sure they were getting buried in litigation by Toei. So ultimately, you can blame Toei and blame capitalism.
They are talented and this project had boosted their careers as voice actors in many ways so it's done professionally and slowly. Like 10 years or something for cell saga
Vegeta just genuinely becoming a better person, trying to avenge Trunks and apologizing to Gohan when it didn't work, is perfect foreshadowing for him sacrificing himself to kill Buu later on.
I know this is all fun-n games and shit but Android 16’s speech was maybe the most on point perspective of Gohan’s situation I’ve heard yet. Kudos to the writing staff.

I mean, it's more or less just foreknowledge of what happens, rather than what was supposed to happen. Toriyama(?) wanted Gohan to surpass Goku, but he was worried the fan backlash would get too bad, so he rewrote the Buu saga to have Goku be the main hero afterward. So the yet part was referring to that 4th wall break rather than anything else

I like how Cell is the only character to correctly pronounce Makkankosappo. Of course, aside from Kami, Nail, and Piccolo in Mr. Gohan's head, but the only one with a physical body.
I never noticed that when Piccolo is trying to tell Goku the name of the Makakapotomus, Kami and Nail answer so when Goku answers “… what..?” It makes so much more sense now. I just never noticed that.
Vegeta’s dad sucked but here you can see that he is breaking the cycle. “My baby boy!” Followed by his apology. Yeah this is a parody series but it captures the character’s growth in the real series and it’s why people like Vegeta more than Goku. He’s emotionally stunted but you know he actually cares about Bulma and Trunks.
We all know that Picolo was always the better role model... which is surprising considering his origins. Where as Goku has brain damage enough that his own brother, who hadn't seen him since he was very small, noticed the weirdness...

@@yuncelluz8709the video they released talking about it they admit it was more or less them getting bored, along with fighting the copy strikes they also had been running out of jokes and had issues continuing through the series. They simply didn't wanna continue anymore and were fatigued, the copyright strike was just the hammer that finally took em out
You know, I'm kind of sad that TFS isn't going through with the Buu saga.... Seeing Krillin with a fresh slate would have been nice, if only to watch the counter climb again.

@@LordCybotbecause he's good at it. Kaiser is a fucking genius. He produced a show that gets better ratings than network television, out of nothing, and without a budget.

He literally held episodes up for weeks and months at a time (back when they had episode status updates, they’d be stuck on editing for eternities) because he had such a big ego he insisted no one else would be able to understand his work or why he did what he did. Kaiser is also the reason Buu was cancelled, because Kaiser doesnt like the filler in Buu and didnt want to work on it.
It's when you realise at this point he may actually be the 2nd strongest being in the universe after Berus (not counting Whis) at this point. He's far stronger now than when he first fought Buu, so it's possible he's stronger than him too. That said mystic Gohan in the Buu arch is also the strongest single character (except Berus & Whis) alive then too. Buu only beats him because he's arrogant and Buu had the Gotkens fusion snack to boost him massively making him temporarily stronger (same when he eats Gohan, making him the strongest he ever is).

When he actually trains he rapidly catches up to years of training by Goku and Vegeta in hours or days, when he studies he gets to be the strongest professor in the universe. Imagine what would happen if he actually trained properly for more than a few days, say a week, 2 or even a month, he'd be the most overpowered character in DBZ. He'd master ultra instinct in his sleep while also been a good dad. Oh and just to amuse yourself. Goku says in the cell games something to the effect of "Gohan is 50 times as strong as me at that age". This is so wrong. SSJ1 is regarded as a power level of 1 million, perfected is SSJ1 is several times that. Gohan is SSJ2, about 20 times that. Adult Goku had a power level of less than 1000 at the start of DBZ. 1000x50, 50k, Gohan even saying he's only at 1million, is 1000+ times Goku at over 20, at 10yo he's nearer 3000× higher, likely far far more.
Goku yelling at Gohan "Get up there and EAT. THAT. HORSE." somehow hits nearly as hard as Sean Schemmel's "YOU FOOL" in DBZ Kai. Genuinely impressive voice acting.
