i'm 40 years of age, 6'1, 180 lbs, good finances, blond hair/blue eyed dane. My thai GF is 39 years of age, easily a 7/10, and could pass for a 30 year old. She has no kids from her prior marriage, and works a well paid, goverment job. She is on me like a hawk every single day - and yes, this is tactical from my side. I know that I am the absolute best, she can get anywhere, and i'll use it to my advantage. Women do the same thing, every day, all over the planet. Don't get me wrong, I love her to pieces, but i'll keep the competition for my attention up, so she don't go sniffing around in another guy's pocket. Women are women guys, nomatter where it is. Make sure that you are the prize.
I married my wife when I was working in Thailand 27 years ago, and she is an excellent wife. She has used our joint money, from the savings account, when I was in Afghanistan, and paid for an operation for her brother-in-law, bought land, expanded her house, and spent lots of more on her nieces and nephews. I told her it was our joint money but tell me about the plans in the future. I am 66 years old and she is 63 years old, and we still fool around occasionally. The book Thai the Knot really explains the culture in a humorous way. By the way, I am from Jackson, MI and enjoy hearing the practical, no nonsense explanations.

Have you tried fasting to see if that improves anything. It will reduce caloric intake which is going to reduce fat but it may also help to recover from your surgeries. It is worth trying. At the beginning you can water fast and drink black coffee, then the more advanced stuff is no food or water. No food or water fasting for 3+ days can do incredible things (in AC obviously) don’t want to sweat. That type of fasting for healing is one of the greatest best kept secrets Digesting food takes up as much as 70% of your bodies resources. Amazing things happen when those resources can be used towards something else
Just to clarify (for those who haven't been to Thailand)... you won't have women throwing themselves at you every day (6:10), except if you hang out in the go-go bars. There's some exaggeration there, or rose-colored glasses.
@wkrp01 I’ll politely disagree- depending- that is depending on where you are. In a remote area (like where I live) they will throw themselves at you. If you are in BKK or Khon Kaen or Pattaya you can forget about most of that.

Your experience (and observations of people you know) is consistent with what you said. I might suggest that saying "here" in a video about Thailand might reasonably be construed to mean "Thailand" rather than some subset of it. In every country, there are a some things that are true about the countryside that aren't true about the big cities, in which case being more specific would be clearer.
@@resetwithrobb Just curious... you and I both know what guys are like, so there must be some guys who are taking these women up on the opportunities presented to them (women throwing themselves at those guys every day, and sleeping with the guy on the first date)... what's the highest number of "women laid in one year" (not paid) that you know about in your neck of the woods? Not much difference between Thailand & the west. You marry in the west & it goes south you lose 70% of the home, Super as well. If you build a new basic home in Isan on your wifes land can cost $20K US upwards. Not much too lose really IMO.
I disagree it’s very different than the West usually 90% of the time the Western wife has a job a career and she has contributed financially to the household and the relationship for the most part it’s team work out in the west in Thailand it’s what’s yours is mine what’s mine is mine 😂
I have a 30 year diffrence with my GF, but she is 38, has 2 children, her son is 19. Me, I stll play soccer in leagues, so heslth wise I am the exception. Will we last, ? No idea, she looks like a model, but it seems I work for her

I ponder why some make you tubes, why some comment. A possibility is it is a form of sorting things out in your mind to discovering your path? I believe a good path to searching and finding a personal peace. Everyone is so different. I started the day revisiting the Delphic maxim “Know thyself,” which was inscribed in the forecourt of the Temple of Apollo at Deplhi. Lifted weights, picked food from the yard, raked mango leaves and meditated ... And felt wonderful. Another man would find this all boring as the more I share the more I find I am maybe in the 1% of expats. My daugjters humour ... If your are happy and you know it overthink, if you happy and you know it overthink and give your brain a chance to blow it.
Studied Judo &. Jiu Jitsu, Kenpo Karate, a few others and then TKD as a “full-time hobbyist” for 6 years and got to 2nd degree black belt in that & was invited to officially register in Korea (which was a moment for me), overall a striker with just enough ground game. Originally came here to study Muay Thai, which is still a dream for me but I need to rehab and likely re-surgery my back first.

It’s a given that there will be language and cultural barriers, but a positive attitude and sense of humor will go a long ways to overcome barriers that can be overcome with time.
Probably most, but if you find a lady that will share what she has and considers and respects your money, you are off to a good start. The women who are constantly asking for money and things and never seem satisfied are red flags IMO.
