I've never gotten the whole Pattaya sex scene. I would never move somewhere for sex or live in tourist areas. I'd rather live in the north far away from those types
62, never married, average looks, slim, healthy, enjoy myself whether alone or with a lady..had many great relationships in California, including Asian chicks(being in bands helped ;-) In 2005, at age 45, landed in Bangkok, fell in love with the vibe instantly, and easily slipped into the p4p lifestyle. It suits me perfectly, and boyo, have I had some phenomenal experiences. (I'm not as picky as some westerners, so have many more options) Not just from bia bars,FLs but also hair salon chicks ;-) Never went back to Cali--went Thailand 3 yrs-Cambodia n Vietnam the remaining years. Now I'm still in relatively good shape/health, and soon returning to the LOS. Thanks Daz for the great vids so I can brush up on the Thai scene. (especially rent and shop prices. Used to live in a View Talay condo in Jomtien. Your calm, rational approach is greatly appreciated and refreshing ;-)
My brother was living in Holland, married a Dutch lady had 2 kids, he had a very good job, beautiful house near The Hague, when they divorced after 20 years she, because they were still very young got full custody of the children and due to the law in Holland at the time she also got total possession of the family home as well, so he lost almost everything, including his very expensive house!
Hi Daz, my experience over many years is you can have a Thai girlfriend/wife but regardless of how much you take care of her and her family, she will always be looking for something better Thais don’t care what you gave them YESTERDAY that’s gone it’s today that counts, they will drop you like a hot coal if or should i say WHEN they want to move on, there’s NO thanks or respect shown for what you have done/ given already, have one at your peril haha,,,
A nice little summary, Daz, of what goes on in The Favourite Game, Thai-style. I agree pretty much with all of your points. Once, around ten years ago, I was talking to a bargirl in Chiang Mai, who was quite attractive and very vivacious. I asked her, simply indulging in small talk, if she had a Thai boyfriend. She immediately looked at me shocked and replied: 'Are you crazy?! If I had a Thai boyfriend, I wouldn't be working here!' I was a little surprised by this response because I already knew that a lot of the girls working in bars and go-gos were doing so, amongst other reasons, to support an impecunious Thai boyfriend or husband. This is Thailand.

Nope, most Asian ladies do not leave their previous Thai relationships empty-handed, they're usually carrying a baby. My girlfriend(village wife) of 6 years reminds me frequently, she loves me as much as i pay her. But hey, at 67 i can deal with that way of thinking. I appreciate her straightforwardness. Too old for puppy love.
You can’t buy love anywhere, but it’s always for rent at different prices in relation to your specific geographic location ( market prices). I’ve had many women in my life so I speak from experience. Some are just better at selling you the illusion as the” good girl”, especially if they start bringing in the whole pious image into the picture.
Interesting question about buying love. I think it requires a clear definition of what love actually is. I believe that real sexual attraction requires something else than money, but loyalty, sympathy, gratitude, appreciation, high priority, attention and great sex can be bought from most women if you are a reasonable person yourself. The exeptions would be either very unreasonable or scammy types of girls who dont have the potential for an emotional relation. In the west dudes over 30 with no money or job dont get laid either.

Just proves one thing to me this video. As much as women will commit to a resourceful man. In the end just like us men she has no control who she is unconditionally attracted to. Understanding the culture and environment helps reduce the number of mistakes by foreigners by a factor of 5 (at least). Unfortunately foreigners don't share many of their failures in SE Asia, they follow the way of the locals. These countries are closed cultures which is why many young Thais (or other SE Asians) often repeat the same mistakes. It will be interesting to find out how long it continues like this.
Thanks for asking about the difference between the so called real and illusionary love. In my life the love was ALWAYS an illusion. My consequence - I have now opted for the Thai system.

I bought two 'Lacoste' polo shirts in the Pattaya Night bazaar in 1986. One of them is still wrapped up in the fake Lacoste packet. The quality was 'passable'. I don't remember the cost, but it was very little. It's too small now. Overall the prices have gone up... above inflation. I would be really wary of any attractive girl met at a bar in Pattaya. Maybe a girl from a hotel or a shop, any girl that had a proper job and could at least partially support herself. Not because I mind paying to look after a girl I love, but because I don't want fake love.... although often that is what it is, even in a marriage in Western society. Often the girl is looking for a secure lifestyle, and the better looking girls can bag the richer men. One of my female cousins married a £millionaire who is now dead... so she is now a £millionaire... simply by marriage by her looks ... so it isn't just in Thailand this happens.

No, I think Man can not buy love, only some fun, or long-term fun if he has more money :) I think a man has to play as a ordinary man/poor in order to check if it is a true love in general. But Pattaya is the worst place to look for love and the best places for fun. One must be realistic and not expect love in such a place.

Many guys I know are in sexless marriage with no ability to change with out being ruined financially/emotionally. Keep it up on your part as that will make for a good relationship and better for you.

I'm about to watch this I haven't even watched it yet. In general a lot of the videos I see from foreigners especially staying in tourist areas like Bangkok or Pattaya is completely different than my experience in the North like in between Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai. I stayed with a friend that was a widower. Also she's much older like 57 years old. I think the combination of her being older and a widow that was married for 30 years and the fact she did not live in an area that had many foreign man and has a house paid for made my experience Way different than what I'm seeing from other people in other areas. I've spoken to her on video for like 16 months. I stayed there for 25 days. Not one time did she ever ask me for money or anything like that. I volunteered however to pay for some of the groceries and I paid her electric and water which were both together under 20 USD. I spent $50 total for the 25 days I was there in groceries and it fit me her older son her and sometimes her older son's girlfriend without a problem

There is no such thing as 'real love' there is the chase and the catch then there is respect and 2 folks that just refuse to give up on one another. I live in Thailand (specifically I picked a more rural setting with no farang) and I actually got lucky and found someone that is real and has a good heart. Of course it helps that I don't think with my little head at all so I have managed to keep all my money and property...

The way I see it, a man must be a provider in any relationship he has. The 50/50 thing seems to work very poorly most of the time in the West. Interesting video. Not the Nike stuff, but what you talk about. Good analysis of the mess that is Thailand. '...it supasses anything the guy has ever experienced before...' Only those men in Pattaya who have little experience of women in their own country. I wouldn't bother with a Thai woman for a proper relationship if it meant providing for her extended family. I started down that route with the last one, and one day, I worked out what I could buy with the money I was throwing away. Result: I swiftly dispatched her. The current one is Thai-Chinese from a good background. No monthly money, whatsoever.
That night bazaar is halerious, I was recently there and asked how much a hat was , I didnt really want it but asked the price they said 300 baht but today was 250 so I politely said no thanks then they said 200 which I walked away and said no then she ran after me and said 150 baht 😂😂 , I couldnt say no at that price so I bought it
Well, it doesn’t matter where you are in the world you pay for love, however in Thailand it’s more open. Thai ladies make you feel happy and you can enjoy their company at whatever level you wish. They also benefit, so where is the problem?
I’ve got a buddy who met a Thai girl on Thai Friendly and lives in Jomtien now with her two kids. She’s in her 30’s he’s 65. I remember him getting upset because some guys were checking her out at a 7 as she dresses like a bag girl. Her claim to legitimacy was that she once co owned a bar where her partner swindled her. Essentially he trickles out money when she needs it but he’s basically renting a young vag#*£ kidding himself that there’s something beyond a financial underpinning. But let’s be honest, the only true working relationship is when two equals agree to stay together understanding what each brings to the relationship. The Thai formula works for many guys as they can trade up or down as they age but it’s just too blatant if you have any moral convictions.

The eyelash extensions are also very common amongst the young Chinese girls here; but only the Chinese. It is not common amongst the Japanese, Korean or Vietnamese girls. Frankly, I think that it is over-done. But, obviously, the Chinese girls like it.
