I am from Myanmar. I did my MA in CU, back in 2007/08. The faculty/program was around 50 world rank. CU is one of my best student life experiences, I still visit CU, whenever I visit Bangkok. Just back from Bkk, last week and have been there too.
I’m Burmese student too,May I know if there are any Japanese Universities working as Partnerships to this University as I’ve been planning to go for uni which is possible to transfer in future as I will only be spending few years of uni life in BKK
Loved this so much, Joyce! This was so fun. It’s so nice to see you venturing out and meeting people. I’ve watched you react to BL for the longest time and now you’re out there doing stuff like this…sooo awesome! Looking forward to more of this. Take care always!!
The Most Popular faculty @CU is Faculty of Architecture, You can't believe about the students of this faculty ; They are Famous MC, Singers,Actors,Producers, Directors,Comedians etc in Thailand s Entertainment Businesses more than School of Art , Drama,Music,Mass Communication . This is the surprise issues of CU.
Most happy to hear the Thai students spoken in English, Hopefully Thai people in general career could speak some English more or less with courages and confidents like the students that Joyce interviewed them.
I'm not graduated from any university and only completed from high school but with my courages, likes, and high intentions to be able to speak and write some English so I've learnt it by myself from books and speaking strait by face to face from the tourists at the bus stops, piers or somewhere that tourist were hanging around, learning English today is not too difficult like my times that google, youtube, etc has not yet been created , Couragement-Intentions-Atemps is the keys how to speak and write any languages , No need to be good or best but understandable to the reader or the listener should be fine but if their goal for future has planned for higher level that is another story-----Sorry if my English are not ok but hopefully that my comment it is one of a case study.
it's just about confidence, i guess when i was in high school, teachers always focused on grammar, not speaking in casuals, sad that all government schools only do the same thing and i hope we change those kinds of methods in the future ps. I graduated from a second class uni, but all professors are good in term of give encouragement lol that's why most of us able speak English with lots of confident
as a computer engineer student 3rd year that's really true those guys in my apartment is really good smart and techy and so good in coding , but me im just average but the course itself is really hard we need to deal with a lot of Math, science and electronics and robotics, they're a lot of introvert in this apartment but they're so kind they will help you out when you got a problem regarding to your studies :>
Joyce … i recommend you to explore Mahidol University, salaya campus, 20 km from BKK, you can catch a cab. It’s the best schools of Med faculties plus musical art and more.
around 7:20 is hilarious, that lady was so happy to find out she could watch that show for free, really fun and lighthearted interviews that are actually really good to see.
Most prestigious and most competitive university in Thailand. A couple thousand of 3- or 400,000 high school student can be accepted per year. All high school students in Thailand have dreamt of to be one in Chula.
It's so interesting to see a campus of a prestigious Thai university. 🎉 My college years were the best, so I have a soft spot for young, smart people talking about their college lifestyle.
Back in my time when I was a medical student at Chula I think most cutest guys are Engineer students and cutest girls are from Business & Accountancy, according to me.
been watching yours almost every episode since day one. This ep you looked so happy more big eyes and brighter smiles, loving it. ...WOW, your Thai is unbelievable , heard you spoke Thai words here and there it sounds natural. This time the whole sentences, your accent is real....amazing. 🎉 Thai ...from LA.
Thanks for the video! @2:54 - I was born in the wrong country... Electrical Computer Engineer here. I did not get this much love in America. Hoping to move to Thailand soon! 🤣. Because of this video I'm going to put Computer Engineer on my dating profile when I am in Thailand 🤣 @10:20 - yes! part 2 please! 😁
From my experience, I always saw a bunch of cute guys and girls at the Faculty of Architecture. The reason why no one mentioned them is because the Faculty of Architecture buildings area is located far from where you visited. So naturally interviewees who live in the area you visited rarely see them :P
In Thailand, unlike the US, prestigious universities here are public one. Most of them have pretty affordable tuition fee (when I was studying at Chula, I paid only 21k baht per semester. Now it's 34k per semester). Having said that, the route to get accepted to there requires attending cram schools and studying at a highly competitive school. That's why most of Chula students have a pretty high socioeconomic background. btw the demographic of engineer students are 70-80% male. That why there's more chance of running into cute guy there than at other faculties 😂😂.
Currently, there are 4 different rates of tuition fee; 21,000 / 25,500 / 26,500 and 34,000 Baht per semester for full time Thai students, depends on field of study.
guess you haven't experienced any of the top universities in europe, singapore, japan or the US. Just because Chula is better than most other Thai universities doesn't make it a top one. And no, it's not difficult to get in and pass it.
I’m a 4th year pol sci student there. I agreed that most of the cute guys study business. My faculty pol sci which’s located next to faculty of accountancy, and faculty of economics, me and my friends always go have lunch at their canteen cause we want to see cute guys. And also guys from faculty engineering are cute too but account is no.1. I would say if u want to see alot cute guys in the same place go eat lunch at their canteen you will see like omg cute guys everywhere.😂😂
I just checked Times Higher Education website 2023. The engineering department of Chulalongkorn University ranked 601-800. Overall, it ranked 801-1000 in the world. National University of Singapore ranked 19 overall.
Don't forget to visit Engineer Faculty canteen, there are a lot of food and beverage inexpensive cost. (recommend: fried chicken+sticky rice, Tomyum Noodle, Rice + Stir Fried Beef with Salt and Chili)
no biases. we're very flattered. engineering students have no time for other things they are focused on their acads and thesis. ME graduate here in the Philippines. Hello Thailand especially Chulalongkorn students👋👋
There are a lot of cute guys at TU & KU as well! TU = Win Metawin, Billkin, Mean Phiravich, Mark Jiruntanin, Sky Wongravee, ... KU = Tor Thanapob, PP Krit, Krist Perawat, Sea Tawinan, ...
I am a country boy who entered Chula back in 2015. I can confirm that Chula's students have a really awesome English proficiency. Studying there has improved my English exponentially thanks to great teachers. I love and respect all my teachers there, especially Ajarn Ying from CULI. : )))))
@8:47 Love their reaction when you said หล่อมาก (very handsome)! If I were you, I would say สวยมาก (very beautiful) instead of หล่อมาก haha. I don't know whether you noticed, but they are not straight. It is interesting that sometimes it is harder for foreigners to notice the gender orientations of Thai people.
Sawasdeehap nong, this Vlogging is what i'm looking for about Thailand education system I'm from ASEAN Neighborhood country Keep hardworking to promoting Thailand education system Your Vlogging is Amazing 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭 🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩
I’m surprised more guys didn’t say the cutest girls were from Commarts. That was always the stereotype when I was at Chula because lots of aspiring actresses/actors go there. Maybe I’m old and the times have changed. And yes, that one guy had it right. It’s a 80-90% female faculty.
Well, you pick the leave from teak wood, the priceless wood which now have to be preserved. However, you has better come to CRMA at Khao Cha ngok in Nakhon Nayok (Thai version of Westpoint) and Naval Cadet School in Paknam (Thai version of Annapolis)
Hi! Joyce. Thank You for sharing another wonderful video. The feedbacks from the students are so awesome and candid. You are very fluent speaking the Thai language. You attended Thai language classes before?
I just subscribed to this channel, I had seen you on another channel but did not know you had your own channel. I am not sure if you display this level of friendliness, easiness, positive attitude off camera, but I find your on camera personality refreshing, easy to watch, and follow. 我听到你说你会说汉语,是真的吗
In Thailand seems the student who study in science and Engineering Major are not good in English but In Economic Bossiness Arts and Commerce they are quite fluent in English. I don’t know why.
In the past, almost every high school in Thailand had at least 3 majors that students could choose from, including Science & Mathematics. Mathematics & Languages, Social-science & Languages . In my opinion, students who choose Science & Math will not learn English as much as others. Then they enter to study science or engineering in university while the others ( who learn more English ) study in Economics, Com-art, etc. that’s why it look like you said . But today many schools in Thailand have developed. More different majors and more focus on English class in every major.
I'm not your target for sure, but why I attentively watch this clip from the beginning to the end...hahaha By the way, I'm straight . Oh I know why....one of many reasons is your cuteness , Joyce.
