Thailand Diesel Turbo Long tail Boat VS American V8 Jet Boat !! Ultimate Extreme Modified Boat Engine An enthusiastic longtail boatman shows off the blistering speed of his engine subscribe : bike boat car / @bikeboatcar
As usual, a total mismatch. Extremely expensive and horsepower in the thousands vs home built with half the cylinders. The Thais definitely have the bigger balls....
I have been on the Thai boats a couple of time, they are Hella scary!! Thailand is a crazy place in general have done many things thrill wise that would not be legal in western countries. Can not wait to go back!
I always thought drag boat racers were crazy. That was until I saw the long boats of Thailand. Those guys are far more crazy. But I love watching them both.
Considering its basically the national sport with everyone from 5year olds to grandpas racing several times a week, you gotta figure that the safety record is far better in Thailand than US boat racing. Far less death or injury per time on the water. Any statistics available.
@@aaronfranklin324 They do reach far lower top speeds, that may have something to do with less death rates or better safety records in Thailand if that is in fact true.
😄 Thai people didn't think to develop their speedboat and compare it to the great ships of America. they did it because they liked speed and wanted to experiment. He took parts from different places and assembled them and saw how cool it was. Parts are obtained from used engines and these people are not mechanical engineers. Some even graduated from middle school and they were obsessed with modifying it. Been in contact with the engine for a long time. When they have free time, they only compete for extra money. If you guys ask them why they did it, you'll find Thai people answering to you. These machines were designed incorrectly. It must be me who graduated from middle school to fix it. Then they laughed like a Thai person. Of course he was just teasing you. Meaning, what you'd expect from a person of his level. It's just for fun
Ok so the title was some bullshit but besides that these Thai dudes have some serious nuts!! You’ve got these super high performance American race boats with drivers fully protected with FR gear and helmets and Hans restraints and all, then you’ve got some local fisherman ripping 100+ MPH on a longtail with no safety restraints and a t-shirt and shorts. Thai racers, I bow to you gentlemen!!
Nah man. It’s WAY more dangerous to go 60 in a long tail boat down Bangkok canals. These guys are untethered in a wooden boat with a fully exposed engine right behind them going through tight canals where who knows what debris etc is in, I can think of a thousand different ways any sort of crash at 60 would be fatal. OP was just acknowledging the wildness of it and complete lack of safety and just appreciating their culture. What got your panties in a bunch?
I raced drag boats for 18 years and own one still.. Im loving the longtail boats. The VERY few people that race and pour money and time into their boats respect each other no matter what the speed or side of the globe. Remember, speed costs money...so how fast do you want to go? $$$ Have fun with your stuff whatever it is and above all BE SAFE!
CB media has a build series on a brand new sr20 longtail that he is giving away to a subscriber. He goes into cos in usd, about 15k for the motor to the prop. havent seen anything on hull cost.
I say all these guys are all equal in brains, balls and ingenuity. The only difference is available resources. And both sides did a top-notch job with the resources that were available to them.
American guys were like building a spaceship on water while the Thai guys said, "Let me stick a Saturn V rocket to the back of my wooden kayak and see how she goes." 🤣 Massive 👍
The Thai Longtail Boats are scary fast when you figure they are basically made out of match sticks with a 250 HP turbo diesel and no safety gear. Still not 10,000 horsepower though.
@@6.7ryan87 There’s no way in hell I’d put it on a wooden boat. I’d have a custom aluminum boat built for it. That’s still cheaper than an $80,000 drag racing engine.
@@UltraMagaFan wood is actually a superior general material for this purpose. it may not technically be as strong at it's yield limit but it's able to survive fatigue cycles much better than aluminium. you'd be surprised how many high performance parts still use a wood core (heli rotors and aircraft props for example).
When it comes to boats and horsepower Thailand is still in the early caveman era. But they work with what they got which is not much money so you gotta respect them.
Trumpster. I had 2 shots in April and just had my booster. I work in a hospital people are dropping like flys. Not a scam this thing is as real as it gets. Not sure how it started and I don't care. When people start to die that's when they say I should have worn my mask should have got my shots 2 late no time for punctuation do whatever you feel is best
Thai long boat takes the crown, give guys from Thailand the same equipment the western countries use and I guarantee those long boats will be hitting mach 3
That purple striped speed boat reminded me of my friend, John Considine, now sadly deceased (in his mid 70s) who built the Green Monster and ran it on Fallen Leaf Lake, California. I got to ride in it once in 2006.
I think 🤔 The Spirit of Australia 🇦🇺 holds the fastest Boat 🚣♀️ tittle ,if I’m not mistaken it runs 317 mph and some change so The Out back mate holds the title 😊
I think it all a matter of dollar bills ! I enjoy watching ! Thai engineering ! Sometimes simple is best ! The thing is putting everything in the correct perspective ! Comparing a Thai long tail vrs a American V8 jetboat is not apples to apples! Like comparing a biplane to a jet !
Theyd get the same result. 2000HP is very cheap compared to a 10k fuel boat, so although it looks like the Thai are doing more with their dollar, it's just the way it goes
@@benjamins9121 Same result how? No engine other than a rocket has come close to a nitro V8. Spend billions if you like on a 6 cyl, power it with nitro, it still won't come close.
@@asherdie you obviously don't realize what it takes to drive Top Fuel drag boat. Attach a Top Fuel engine to that long tail, let me know how that works out...
@@joelvines9070 you sit in a cushy fighter pilot cabin strapped in safe and secure like a little baby push a couple of buttons and wait for it to be over. These dudes grab the tiger by the tail and roll out, no fucks given. Same as the early by-wing dog fighters versus modern jet fighters, faster and more technology does not equal more impressive.
things is those Long Tail in Thailand , I don't see a single one wears lifejacket ! They truly believe accident will never happen or simply wearing one will make you look down !
There is really no comparison between the two, the big block drag boats are much much faster. But hey they are both having fun and that's what's really important.
I thought we were going to have a drag race between the Thai and the American boats. Although if you did, Thais would be smoked and probably swamped from the rooster tails. LOL
The american boats you showed are TopFuel Hydroplanes. 500 Cu. Inch Billet aluminum block root type supercharger injected on nitro methane. They have a 2 prop gear box. They are the fastest boats on the planet. They have fighter jet capsules and oxygen bottles for breathing when they explode or crash for safety the capsule comes out also fire supression and mandatory safety gear like helmet, life jacketnd fire suit. The other blue boat must be from down under.flatbottom vdrive with a BBChevy and 4bbl maybe 85-90 mph max nice boat just saying. Where is the jet boat? Your boats are insane and fast. I would like to see a drag race side by side with a flatty vdrive like a river racer and those turbo diesels. They would not be able to run on lakes or rivers in the US. You would have to have a private lake. No disrepect but you guys have huge balls for racing in flip flops with out safty gear and people riding with you. Watch Blown K boats on v drive video channel for comparing speed.
I agree. I'm from Philippines. Many south Asian countries like Thailand, Philippines would compare drag race to USA whether it's boat or MOTORCYCLE and its not even close. We are very far behind from technology. In this video, Long tail boat is using diesel engine with turbo compared to go fast boat using nitro methane (not really sure). So watching this video, it's like watching drag race between bicycle to motorcycle. So my advice to fellow south Asian. Please stop comparing apples to orange.
Guys in the Longboat or a lot more daring running them in Barefeet versus capsule suit pressurized really no comparison but boy went in big boats run over here oh my God makes your stomach Rumble just like a dragster integrates the motor in them😮😮😮😊😊😅😅🎉🎉😂❤❤
Not a single jet boat in the whole video but nice video anyhow Love Boat Racing Top Fuel Hydro for the win I drag boat race myself with a true jet boat Top Fuel Hydro is merely a wet dream to me way out of the reach of my pocketbook
US guys - HANS device, helmet, racing suit, life vest, gloves, rescue crews standing by. Thai guys, barefoot, shorts and t-shirt, hell, not even an air filter on the turbo. Yeah, the US boats are faster and quicker, but the Thai guys have balls of steel.
12,000HP in F1 boats reaching speeds in excess of 500kph and a few hundred HP flat bottoms reaching less than half that speed is no comparison. Water already becomes hard and unpleasant at 50kph and it only goes up exponentially from there.
Is Top fuel boats are about a quarter million dollars worth of engine and the vietnam boats are probably somewhere along the lines of damn near scrap metal there's no comparison but the guys with them beaver tails have got some huge balls that shit is crazy
No comparison but you gotta give these guys credit for what they have. The long tail boats move out. It helps that the drivers are completely insane flying on water with no vest, no helmet.
That's because they operate these same boats as commercial water taxis every day. They are not toys. They are far safer than most American sport and pleasure craft. They customise and race everything from commercial rice paddy tractors, to Ambulances, that are all private owner built and operated with payment per delivery there.
