Not surprised about the kid. I once saw a kid almost drown in a hotel pool in Malaysia because the mother wasn't watching. A hotel staff member saved the child.
I wonder why they expect Phangna airport to alleviate Phuket airport. I don't think that Krabi alleviates anything in Phuket right? The only difference would be that the new airport can be reached by land and not need to change landboatland like from Krabi. Anyway, if you need 2-3 hours from the new airport to get to example Patong and counting all the checking /luggage time at the airport, you start to consider the bus from Bkk to Phuket as a good alternative especially if you get one of those "first class" seats that offer a lot of place. I have to admit that I don't know how the situation in Khao lak is after the tsunami because i never really have heard something about it since. They would probably be happy about the new airport.
I’d like to see a light rail or monorail connect Phuket to the new airport. Also I’d like to see a light rail or elevated monorail ring the circumference of Phuket connecting the beaches to Phuket Town and the Phuket airport.
One would think that the ASEAN people's houses are all built on poles/stilts since the monsoon rains are not a new phenomenon???? Crocodiles in the wild and flooding is a bad combination.🤔
