Today we swim down the river Kwai and this stretch is the most dangerous with strong currents and whirlpools, not for the faint hearted. I do have the raft following me, but look at the distance which separates us within a few minutes. This part of the river kwai is very dangerous and I would not recommend swimming alone it it. I like to think that Im a good swimmer, but this does worry me a little, strongest current Ive ever swam in.
Our day starts leaving the beautiful Sai Yok Noi Waterfall, Kanchanaburi, heading for our new hotel, Kwai Tara Riverside Villas. The is located right on the river Kwai, costing 4000 THB per night with breakfast. As you can see the scenery is stunning!
This is where the fun starts. We immediately go on the River Rafting tour and I go swimming in the
River kwai. The current flows strongly and I get separated form my raft. I would not recommend doing this swim alone. Good to see life jackets were provided.
After 30 minutes I am reunited with the raft. Its an experience that I will always remember with Nuch!
