There's no quick money in being eco-friendly and kind to the environment. Thailand's pollution issues can be improved but we are many decades away from that and it might just be too late. Sounds pessimistic doesn't it? But look around you, nothing is being done about it, car dependency is huge here, partly due to face, as having a car makes you look rich so people want to be seen out in them, regardless of the traffic they cause. Diesel from trains and bosts is another destroyer of the environment but these are essential forms of transport. Bangkok's canals are filthy for many reasons, and this issue has been ongoing for decades too. What will it take? Will it be too late?
