Started watching you in 2014 and regained a passion for simming. In that time I was at the lowest I’ve ever been with depression, you and your videos really helped me escape that and get to where I am today. My whole life has turned around in that time and I’d like to thank you for playing a part in that. From the bottom of my heart, thank you and all the best for your future endeavours.
I actually had to watch this twice because I couldn’t believe it. Frooglesim has been the first channel I found when I decided that I want to go back into simming after a loooong hiatus and your passion got me hooked. I think I can safely say that I watched every single video you released and you ALWAYS managed to put a stupid smile on my face, like on that Q400 departing from St. Barth… Well, Sir, I can only say a big and heartfelt THANK YOU, because in one way or another you literally changed my life, and I’d like you to understand that you made the same thing for many of us, and surely for the better. Hoping that you will come back some day, have a nice retirement Pete, and thanks for all the fish, I have to go back to video 1 now and start to watch everything again!
I hope- for all intensive purposes, that we can 'stay in touch' and be in the loop with your future endeavours and adventures! Honestly you've left behind an incredible legacy and I can't thank you enough for everything you've done in the FlightSim Community over the years. I'm 2 years late and I just now saw your video. I had been wondering why you had stopped uploading so I came to your channel and saw this video. Well, I would like to say that, Thank You So Much for everything Pete! I had discovered your channel back in 2014 through the PMDG 737NGX module. Your videos and tutorials really helped me in learning that aircraft and have fun with it till I was flying in FSX. I used to always look forward to your videos, especially the "FroogleSim News" segment. Those were very enjoyable. But, I understand your mindset and where you're at right now. I have gone through depression myself, I understand how it feels like in wanting to quit when things don't work out. In fact, I would also like to add that you had helped me with my depression back in 2015. I was going through a pretty nasty break-up and was in a very shitty mental state. Your videos, especially on the 737NGX helped me to divert myself and try something new. I got better eventually by both learning and flying the aircraft and also in my mental health in general. It's sad to see you go brother, but I understand your decision to quit, especially since it's taking a toll on your mental and physical health. I don't know if you will see/read my comment, but I hope you do. Take good care of yourself and wishing you a happy future. All the very best for your future endeavors. Best wishes to you from India. I still remember when, about 10 years ago, I saw your review of the NGX for FSX. That raised the curtains on a whole new world for me, as I didn't knew aviation simulation can get so "serious". Always loved your reviews and fully loaded's and this really feels like "the end of an era" :). I have watched your videos for quite some time, and I have really enjoyed them. I can really imagine the amount of work, hate and drama that does drag you down. But all great things have to come to an end. And your passion too for stuff changes, I feel like I have departed from flight simulators, but some part of me wants me to go back. But moving on may be tricky, but it will get better. Good luck in software development and writing! :)

Dear Froogle, I've been watching your videos for years, and you've always been IMHO one of the Greats within the flight sim community. I've seen countless of your Fully Loaded videos and I've spent countless hours scribbling notes and learning because of you. It pains me to see you bring the adventure to an end, but I guess good things can't last forever. I am however glad to see you decide to take care of yourself and enjoy life to the fullest. I'd hate to see you work on videos you don't enjoy doing, and it's probably the best call you could make. Cheers to you, and best of lucks in your future projects!

My very sincere thanks for your updates on MSFS2020. I have enjoyed your enthusiasm and thorough research since nearly a year before the title launched in 2019. It has been refreshing to follow and look forward to hearing from someone who sees much of the same history I have seen and appreciates the progress because of this (and I am in my forties). “Frooglesim” will be missed - but it IS understandable, as life’s dynamics change. You're video's built a strong and positive foundation for this community and you should be proud of that. I can't speak for everyone but taking care of yourself is the far most important thing you need to do and we'll always have your back. All I can say is thank you for the videos, especially going back a few years to when I built my current PC and decided to have a look at flight simulation - I had no idea what addons could actually achieve in a desktop flight simulator and some of your earlier videos on aircraft like the Aerosoft Airbus A320 and the Ramzess & Phillip (now Flightfactor) 777 for X-Plane really opened my eyes to this. All the best for your future!
Thank you very much and can absolutely respect it. It'll be a bit weird since the news show was kind of my last life-line to flightsims, as i had dropped off of it 2 years ago or so. Seeing what new planes made it out always was fun and i kept the channel around just in case there's gonna be that one plane that drags me back in proper, though it never ended up happening. So yes, thank you very very much for the time and effort you put in! It always was enjoyable but of course nothing is permanent and i wish you all the best for the future!
I sure 'get' your reasons, and applaud your choice for your own best future. But I would be less than honest if I didn't say I will deeply miss your videos -- they are SO helpful and informative, and I have relied upon them greatly to milk the best experiences from my simming experience. I still access older installments of yours when trying to understand certain aspects of this hobby. You have been my primary teacher for years. Your efforts were well spent, and much appreciated. Don’t fret about the critical people who posted rude and insensitive comments. These people are just jerks, and the sad thing about the Internet and social media is that it gives boorish behavior an outlet. You performed a great service to many of us. Enjoy your next chapter in life.

Hey Pete, just want to add my gratitude and say thank you for everything you've done for the flight sim community here on RU-vid. On a personal note, your work inspired me to start my channel so thank you for that also. Unfortunately, RU-vid has become an entirely different beast of a company/website/system over the time you've been making videos and it's very difficult to make any significant income from it nowadays. I know the feeling of putting in huge amounts of effort to produce high value work only to get measly results while other creators seem to become millionaires for the silliest things. But hopefully now that you've taken the pressure off, as you say, that will reignite your passion and enjoyment of simming, hopefully I'll see you up in the virtual skies one day. Take care buddy, enjoy being back home and around your friends and family. Don't complain too much about the British Winter when it rolls around! ;)

Your channel was the very first channel I watched and subscribed too and you have been a very valuable cornerstone in the flightsim world and its thankyou for all your hard work informing us lazy inept onlookers- I don't know if you have ever seen the cartoon film ratatouille- listen to the little speech at the end that quantifies what a critic is, it puts it into perspective- I wish you all the best in your future and your life. Best of luck with your future endeavours Pete. Like so many others have said, I can trace getting back into FSX at all down to a select few, and you are one of them. I'm not a great learner from PDFs, and I can confidently say that YOU have taught me the basics on the PMDG 737, 777, Q400 and Mad Dog. I enjoyed the fully loaded videos a lot, but no-one in flight sim can teach a beginner like you can. I hope you take immense pride from that, because study level aircraft are very difficult to get moving with. Life certainly does come first and fortunately it seems you have a rich and rewarding one to pursue outside of youtube. Thanks for sharing your videos.

I started flightsimming in 1987 on a C64 with Microprose FS2 - I was 14, and the motivation and enthusiasm was gained by your videos in the last years, when I flew FSX, P3D and Xplane at the same time. Your voice (which is perfectly understandable for me as a german guy) was definitely part of my flightsimming life.
