People said the only way to beat Froning was to wait for him to retire, but chances are Mat could beat him and chances are we'll see someone better than Mat in the future. That's how it is with every sport. People think it's peaked and then a generation later the athletes are on a whole new level.
Mat is such a nice guy in real life. Crossfit games wont be the same without him. Some people thought it was boring to watch him win every year. I loved it, I couldn't wait to see by how much he was going to beat his competition.
Wow, bravo Matt Frasier to a career and life that continues to inspire so many. Well I guess it’s time for you and Sammie to start y’all family, LOL. Blessing to you and your family brother.
"I'm always picturing someone else in front of me" That right there talks ages and ages of his mental capacity and his competitiveness, it's always against his own body, his own mind, his own everything, not only for being 5 times champ, but this talks about gym, nutrition, daily routines... for a reason he is what he is... always an inspiration for us mortals
Question is, will the next male crossfit winner truly feel like the fittest man on earth knowing that in 2020 Matt was light years ahead of the competition and retired?
Just wanted to say that it has been an absolute pleasure to watch you over the years. Your tenacity, dedication and your relentless pursuit to train to find your weaknesses makes you a man that I not only admire but have the utmost respect for. Enjoy your retirement, you’ve well and truly earned it.
class act... as a fan I am sad .. wishing his last year would have been in front of the fans... but SO happy for you MAT! enjoy the journey! thank you for always being an inspiration!
I've been blessed in my lifetime to witness greatness, generational greatness. MJ, LeBron, Bonds,Brady, Rice, Bolt, Phelps, and now Frazier. Pure dominance in the respective sport. thanks Matt
I couldn't figure out why this video seemed so ominous. Had to read the comments and infer that Mat Fraiser retired from Crossfit. The video or at least the description should give some context, I was starting to wonder if he'd died or something.
@@lenisemicolon I don't know about you, but I say 'best wishes' to people who are alive and to whom I wish best. In 99% of the time the context is when someone has moved on to a new job/company/country etc.
Thank you for showing us HARD WORK PAYS OFF! I witnessed your entire career in Crossfit and you ‘sir have an incredible resume as a Champ and as an inspiration for human kind. CROSSFIT Community will always remember!
The GOAT. Somehow this feels like ending a roller coaster right at the top of the ride. But Mat did good for the sport. He set the bar for the next champions, and oh man...what a crazy standard. Five times Crossfit champion and all times best. Good luck for Mat Fraser in his next endeavors.
I am really like just expecting him at any moment posting like: Hey world, am joking. God, i can't believe. No one would ever blast over as he did. Thank you for inspiring the great community of CrossFit. WE WILL MISS YOU.
I feel the same way. I keep thinking he's gonna be like "one more games and than I'm done " but I know he's done but I can only imagine the physical and mental stress the pressure of the games puts you through and to do it 7 times and win 5 . It's crazy
