What I do like about this concept is that someone who we thought would be one of the main leads in the movie based on the trailers ends up dying in the first 10 minutes of the movie. They could’ve done something like that, where perhaps they killed off Thor in the opening to set the tone for the film.

If this was how Tony Stark died, it would be a lot more tragic than how he died in Endgame. The Iron Man suit in its final mark being used as the first victim of Thanos’ strength with the Space Stone and Power Stone would have been a lot more impressive than dodging a surprise attack with a knife from Loki. But what if this was a decoy? The Iron Man suit can be remote-piloted and Tony did this in the crazy Air Force One scene in Iron Man 3. Tony could have remote-piloted his suit in this confrontation with Thanos and the Black Order. But coming in late after Thor and Hulk got beaten up was not a good move. Also him saying “Earth is closed today” when they were in outer space was pretty weird. Added to the humor though. The phony phone call with Pepper was the best part. She really would have broken down in tears if she wasn’t present to be with Tony when he died. Thankfully, that was the case in Endgame, when Tony stole all the stones from the Iron Gauntlet that 2014 Thanos stole and snapped the Mad Titan and his forces to dust. It really was the endgame. The M(SHE)U has not been the same since, especially due to Pepper Potts not making any appearances since Tony’s funeral. Man, that’s rough. Pepper was a classic female figure and she gets replaced by the likes of the She-Hulk, Kamala Khan, Carol Danvers, Michelle Jones(Zendaya’s MJ), Emilia Clarke’s Skrull character Gi’ah, and others? Now that stinks. Like really stinks. Bring Pepper back, supposed Tony’s coming back, too. Another version of Tony though, due to the “Multiverse” saga. Long live Iron Man.
