I love how Ronan is thinking intensively on whether to attack thanos for insulting him, Ultimately deciding that he can not beat him. It’s a hard pill to swallow for his self confidence . Nebula probably sensed his inner conflict and told him that it’s a fight he can’t win and telling him to leave together.
@@spiderman4538 He was called mad but what he said became reality Titan extinction happened. So people who called him mad didn't get chance to apologise him.
MCU Thanks sucks. Comic Thanos is a trillion times stronger and a better character than the Russo Brothers' abomination of a "villain". Cannot wait seeing Comic Baby Thanos punch a hole through MCU Thanos and lift a skyscraper.
This is a good scene. You can see that even though Ronan serves Thanos, he’s still a boss and used to being one. Even the way he speaks to Thanos. It’s almost as if he’s saying Thanos screwed it up, and he’s playing around. Which he is. But you get the sense Ronan is used to running his own ship. When Thanos turned his chair around saying he doesn’t take Ronan serious, you can see Ronan see that as a challenge and disrespect. He knows Thanos is more powerful but he’s so ambitious, he sees that difference in strength as temporary. At the end of the day though, Thanos is scary🤣
True but Thanos' offhand remark about his "favorite daughter" came back to bite everyone BUT Nebula in the ass. She dodged a bullet considering how things played out when Thanos needed to buy the Soul Stone at full market value. O_O
@@AqwDragulum yeah but his whole I figured by eliminating half life the rest would thrive I mean he had to of known people wouldn't forget that they would I for him and that his actions to his self would be good but to others be bad
I hate how underrated Ronan the Accuser is like he literally just ended thanos's annoying runt servant like that, who was even a big threat to loki in the 1st Avengers Movie.
I never noticed Thanos’ big ole toothy grin at the end of the scene. He never really smiled in the avengers movies and he had so much to be happy for! He’s not mad, he’s glad...
Actually, Thanos did smile by the end of Infinity War after he accomplished his mission. EDIT: I forgot that Thanos also smiled at the end of both Avengers 1 and Age of Ultron.
James Gunn said this was the most difficult scene to write because this scene could potentially undermine ronan especially since he's supposed to be the main villain of this movie so they had to let him kill the messenger to make him dangerous as well. Remember this messenger also bullied loki.
0:50 Well done Ronan, used this wave once in the entire film, and when confronted by the Guardians, he suffered from thrower syndrome, allowing him only to throw opponents to the sides.
even if, it's way too slow to hit any of the guardians, plus he had the stone which made him think he was invincible so he didn't feel the need to use that as he had the power to destroy planets in an instant.
Yep, Marvel really does nerf its characters for the sake of entertaining battles. DC doesn't do that. When a fighter is dominant, he doesn't do stupid shit to lose easy.
Out of all the voices you heard in this video that's the one you like the voice of Siri / Alexa / Google.... Lol jk I just had to say it it is a nice voice though
How to create an intimidating villain: Establish a villain who is already respected, threatening and very dangerous. Then bring up the REAL villain who lectures the first one like a little child and the latter even is ok with it. Finished.
@@KYoung-kj7hrSteppenwolf was working for Darkseid and was basically Darkseid's bitch while Thanos only wanted the stone but Ronan defected took the stone for himself and aspired to become a threat to Thanos himself while all Steppenwolf wanted was to please Darkseid and Steppenwolf was getting punched and smacked almost the entire movie by everyone except for the weaker beings so Steppenwolf isn't really an intimidating villain and it doesn't really work better
He was. But after MCU did him over as someone who's more reliant on the Stones, rather than his colossal power like in the comics... that hype pretty much crumbled.
Well, Thanos' little comment about his "favorite daughter" came back to bite everyone BUT Nebula in the ass. She dodged a bullet considering how that "he always liked you more" played out when Thanos needed to buy the Soul Stone at full market value. O_O
@@Master.Jedi.Kenobi In Guardians of the Galaxy 1, Nebula says Thanos replaced Nebula's body parts with robotic parts because she was not good enough as Gamora.
@james Deer It helps lighten the mood in certain scenes. This one doesn't even appear to be for comedic affect. More so sarcasm because of what Thanos said.
I love how this cameo works even if you didn’t see The Avengers in a basic “oh he’s working for a big bad guy” way but if you did see The Avengers, it also works in an “oooo that’s the guy Loki was working for.” Way.
Remember when Thanos was constantly joked as the “Man In the chair” who spent years doing nothing. Then in the span of 1 ground breaking film he completely flipped that idea around
my favorite thing about that running gag is how well it goes with infinity war and endgame scenes infinity war gamora : fuck that chair thanos : where did i heard that before[sits down on the stair] endgame thanos : ok nebula papa'll just sit here and wait while *you* do the all bringing the stones thing almost like russos purposefully poke fun out of the memes from the previous scenes
Doing nothing? The man literally wiped 50% of lives on many planets, that's at least something. And also, they nerfed him in the later movies. When he appeared in Age of Ultron post-credit scene,or even earlier, in the Avengers post-credit scene, we all though Thanos was impossible to beat in 1v1 fight for anyone. And he turned out to be just a regular big purple man in the end. He beat Hulk but no one cares about it, their argument is "Hulk was weak". My point is that, they ruined the hype of Thanos
Love the fact that Ronan murders the Other for no reason except he was irritating him lmao And Thanos doesn't even really care (Edit: Jesus, three months later and over 3K likes, thank you so much)
Honestly i expected to get more of THIS Thanos in Infinity War. Cold, manacing, mysterious. Kinda like Freeza from DBZ when he was first introduced and everyone was shitless scared of him.
This version of Thanos looked and felt dangerous. Especially when he gave the line about bathing the staways with Roan's blood. Evil may be the word, but threatening is definitely it. Infinity & Endgame he looked more kick back slient.
Mostly because Marvel and likely Disney trying to make him more sympathetic in his reasons for wanting to do the Snap with the Infinity Gauntlet. Thanos over here in GotG is more similar to his original comics version.
@theduck2970 I wasn't much of a comic book reader. More of the animation shows (can't wait for XMEN 97).... but Thanos in infinity war, reminded me Homer Simpson
Just now I realize that Thanos built his little boss office in the remains of what looks like an entire planet that was probably destroyed by him, who knows, that floating chair could be the throne of this planet's former ruler. Savage.
Maybe even its an ironic gesture. "Sanctuary" was the ultimate place of safety and refuge for a whole star system of beings who put a decent enough fight that Thanos decided to make them an example. Another idea is that it is like Dr Strange's nest in New York. Convergence of magical energies. It was once a wizard sanctuary.
Thanos inhales deeply at around 0:43 mark as The Other keeps interrupting Ronans explanation, it makes sense as to why he didn't bat an eyelid when ronan killed The Other
I agree, this was real Mad Titan...not that i didnt like his evolution in Avengers, he was great....But this guy was perfection. I am still sad they took his powers in movies.
I felt the same way. They should’ve stuck with this Thanos throughout, he’s more calculated menacing and intimidating than the one in Infinity war🤷🏻♀️
I love the continuity in the mcu. I love how the Russo’s made it so the endgame Thanos was like this version. This is the version who hasn’t gone through the character arc in Infinity War which makes sense as to why he’s more brutal in endgame. I don’t get why people don’t like the writing behind that.
This version of Thanos is definitely way more comic book accurate in terms of character. Infinity war Thanos is completely different from start to finish and endgame Thanos is similar to this version but its like they tried to combine the 2 and it didnt work out.
I don't like it because if you're going to make an adaptation of a character. You should strive to at least make it accurate to some degree. Thanos in Infinity War was not Thanos. He was your stereotypical villain nowadays that claims he's doing it for the good of all people. I want to see villains that are just evil again it's been so long and this good bad guy trend is killing me.
Kudos to the director and the team who imagined this scene and thanos’s body language, demeanor and everything. I mean you can tell he is the man with power and who’s also incharge. Just a 1 minute scene but so powerful.
I love how Thanos blame Ronan for everything Gamora did wrong.. He even blame Ronan for Gamora having a problem with him😅 Like him murdering her parents has nothing to do with it .
"The only matter I do not take seriously, boy, is you." And "And I will bathe the starways in your blood." There is the most badass quotes of this movie.
I find it awesome that in the beginning of Infinity War he still had this scary arrogant demeanor, but his journey for the stones made him a more humble 'person', like he couldn’t even bring himself to kill the avengers before collecting the mind stone. And snapping his fingers.
Clearly you dont understand infinity war thanos. Thanos deliberately didnt want to kill anyone before he snapped, because he wanted as many people as possible to have their fates to be decided at random by the universe when half of life was erased.
@@oneinnamillion how is explaining a characters role in a movie count as me being heated? LOL trying to make me look bad for the sake of an argument. Ur the one that decided to waste time argument baiting on the internet.
This is the most comic accurate Thanos design. I don't understand why they changed the CGI model for Infinity War and Endgame. Even the armor design looks different as well especially the helmet.
@@4477superman I much prefer this design than the new one. Thanos in Infinity War and Endgame looked too human for me, and less like a purple alien warlord, covered in gold and blue armor.
Is not the thing that he is Purple or Blue , is the fact that this thanos on the clip was not an actor underneath but a pure CGI creation , This is the Thanos we wanted in "Infinity war" and "End game" , but they gave us Thanos played by an Actor underneath
@@Ognyan397 there’s no way in hell that the use of CGI on it’s own would have been able to provide the level depth and personality required to breathe life into the character, and carry those films the way Thanos is supposed to
@@Ognyan397 We who? I prefer Thanos to actually be compelling than just scary looking. Just look at Darkseid in Snyder Cut, all dark and evil look, no substance.
It’s crazy when this movie was first announced, damn near everyone was roasting it. And now GOTG is practically a household name. Now that’s an underdog story 🤔
