Hello Joy. I like your top. I can’t believe how well the pants match. It looks good. I don’t think the arm hole looks bad. No one would ever notice. Love you, Liz
I have been working on a pair of pants. I went back and watched your pants videos you did with Philly and even did my fishbowl with foil. I think I almost have the fit right. I really appreciate all your great instruction. I look forward to each and every one of your videos. ❤
I think your top is cute, plus it looks good on you. Jeep owners give other jeep owners little rubber duckies. I don't know the back story. But it is fun. Spreads the joy.
Joy- Blue top is a very pretty color. The fabric has a lot of structure, which causes the armhole back to stick out. Pattern is so cute, try a drapier fabric.
I think it looks good. It certainly isn’t bad like you imagine it is. No one cares if you can occasionally see a bit of white when you move your arms and it’s a lovely fabric
I just called my Hobby Lobby to see if the patterns are on sale. They weren't on sale. I hope ours doesnt discontinue their patterns. I like the blue shirt!
Hey Miss Joy, you’re a hoot! Love your top! Glad y’all are doing well. Hope y’all have a wonderful July 4 th. Praying for a safe trip home! God bless y’all! 😀❤️🙏🏻🇺🇸
You know what looks good on your body and the blue blouse sleeves do gape. I watch several UK videos and recently found Jan Howell like you did. You’re unique and fun though….nice to see you today!
Hi Joy! When you have printed fabric that might show the white side, just make facings instead of hemming the sleeves and the "tails." That will also save you from having to do those tedious sharp curved hems on the tails and keep the blue side showing even in a wind storm ;) Thanks for the project. I like it a lot. Stay safe.
Hahahaha love it " Water outlet Valve" As soon as you said Jan I wondered if you were talking about Jan Howell's channel. I found her during covid lockdowns as I had a bit of free time on my hands 😂 All jokes aside she is great. Top is pretty that's for sure.
Joy: Your new top fits fine. I suggest that in cooler months of Fall, a simple 3/4 sleeve tee-shirt might be so cute; don't worry about the sleeve opening--use it to your advantage. I am happy to see your video.
Hi Joy good to see you. I like your blouse and don't worry about the sleeves they are fine. Thank you for the two sewing sites on RU-vid. Your always giving good information and instructions.
Ducks are part of the jeep family. Duck Duck Goose is now Duck Duck Jeep!. They have a jeep wave?? I know my husband had a Jeep and they wave to each other. My granddaughter was 4-5and my husband had to take her for a ride every time we had her so she could find the jeeps and wave!
Loved your video. The blue blouse is lobster and the color is great on you. I suggest the you put some elastic in the sleeves to hug you a little. I just tore a tendon in my foot. Have to elevate it. It’s so painful to walk. So I’m going to piece some quill blocks by hand. ❤
I've bought stuff from your Amazon - it always looks like it kicks me into 'regular' Amazon shopping. Hope it works and you get the commission. That's fun about the Jeep thing. I have S8587~ older patterns were BY FAR so much better quality. That big giant chicken pin cushion is adorable! Did you make it? Cute Newlook patterns I love that jacket 6711 too. I wish we had a Hobby Lobby near me. Joy, that white top with the heart on it is soooo cute on you! I watched your pants makes videos a while back, and learned so much about making pants fit from you. I think i even bought a special measuring tool that you suggested. I have really learned soooo much from you. Can't thank you enough. I like that side tie top on you! I'm going to make one - I have some lightweight cotton lawn that might be perfect for it. I think I would like longer sleeves too. If you have more fabric add some bands to lengthen the sleeves - maybe it will help! Please show us how to tie a bow. I confess - I'm one of those people who can't make a bow look good.
I love you in the pink rose top, and olive pants! Oh, I think I have a great way to make it easy for the blue ties! Just fold them together inside out. Then turn them right side out, and iron, done! Then you will have blue on both sides! What do you think? Happy Fourth of July! 🎉
I really like the front of your top with the tie on the side but I’m like you on the sleeves. My husband was looking for me the other day. So I came inside and he asked me where I was. I told him the dogs had to go out and open up their water outlet valve and drain some fluids out of their bodies. lol. If you are learning to sew pants then seriously look at the series Joy did on making pants. I think it is about 4 -5 RU-vid videos. Very good and so simple to follow. The best sloper I found for getting my crotch fit is the one from Surefit designs. It fits me perfect from waist, high hip, down to my low hip. I do have to taper my legs in some.
@@Joy4650B I’m in process now of doing a trouser muslin using the TopDownCenterOut method. They look so good in the front but I need help with the back.
I have made a couple tops that had short sleeves They had a facing so you couldn't see the wrong side of fabric Then same with the bow just the curve part was cut 2 sew together and turned So no white side does that make sense Maybe a lighter cotton lawn would work as well It's very nice i really like it I may look for the pattern Happy sewing Joy Take care
Here in San Antonio the Jeep people all seem to have a few dozen little ducks on their dashboards. Don't know why. Guess it's a Jeep thing. Evidently your mystery donor felt sorry for you that you didn't have any little ducks, and shared. That was really nice. Sad that you don't like the blue blouse. I think it looks really good on you and a great color for you. I think the little grown on cap sleeves look good and don't think the armhole or your arm look "odd". Not sure what you're seeing that we don't see from this viewpoint. So glad you rescued the bow blouse.
Put a little facing inside the sleeve openings. I do not the unfinished inside of sleeves either. Or raw edges in an unlined jacket. I either have to do French seams or a Hong Kong finish.
Halo dear. I went to Hobby Lobby and did the damage of lots of patterns. 😅. We like you a lot. My husband and Me. Happy Forth of July. It will be 120 here. Sunday I will turn 80. I am having a big party. With 120. Pray for the air not to stop. 😂
@@Joy4650B Thank you very much. I am hope for the air will work OK. We get use to but we always have the air in authomatic. I love your channel. I learn many things. And your personality is fantastic. Happy Fourth of July.
Have you considered making your blue top sleeveless? That would eliminate the pulling and gaping that happens when you move your arms forward. I think the look of the top is fine, but I think it would bug me if the sleeves kept gaping. Just a thought. 😄
Do you have enough fabric left to cut a sleeve band (bias) or, reshape armhole (a la Peggy Sagers) an set in a sleeve? The top is beautiful and deserves to be worn!
Joy, how do you mount your quilts on the angled ceiling? I have a ceiling like that in my sewing room and would like to hang things on it too. Thank you!
I bought teeny tiny straight pins. They had a flat head on them like a nail. They hammer in super easy and you can't even tell they were ever there when you remove them. I put one in each corner and then a few around the center. The center will sag otherwise.
