Yessss! 🇨🇦 Please dive more into Bryan Adams. Most popular songs were “Summer of 69” and “everything I do I do it for you”…but most of his stuff is great. The acoustic version of “Heaven” is beautiful.
Here in Kingston where Bryan is originally from, there is a special plaque in the front lobby of the hospital with his picture on it explaining he was born at the Kingston General Hospital. Thats when you know you made it. When the hospital keeps your pic in the front lobby
@@kellysmith2241 nice. I know him as a Vancouver boy. My dad even used to go to the restaurant where he used to be a dishwasher. My first concert was his for the Waking Up The Neighbours tour, and it was fantastic
Bryan Adams is a great Canadian singer songwriter from the 80's-90's. He is known for his ballads & he has a unique raspy voice. He has had so many hits such as "Cuts Like a Knife", "Straight From the Heart", "Run to You", "Summer of '69", "Heaven", "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You", "Can't Stop This Thing We Started", "Thought I'd Died & Gone to Heaven", "Please Forgive Me", "All for Love" & "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?". He has won a lot of awards for his music.
I'll add to this list. "The only thing that looks good (on me is you)", "When you're gone" with Mel C, " Somebody"," There will never be another tonight", "Here I am", "18 till I die", "it's only love(with Tina Turner)"
I think "Heaven" is Bryan's best song. It is one of the best power ballads of all time. Straight from the Heart, Somebody, This Time, Cuts like a Knife, One Night Love Affair are great too.
Wow, absolutely! Lots of hits before his "soundtrack" period, but he and Tina try to out scream each other on that one! Massive guitar riff! There is a live video- but to me it loses something with Tina's band. The studio version better documents the "competition" for lead vocal. More fire in studio... generally. Just my opinion...♥️♥️♥️
It’s about his guitar. This song was a massive hit as was the album, Reckless. Run To You spent 4 weeks at #1 & an additional 5 weeks at #2 on the Billboard Charts. The album has sold over 12 million copies. Somebody Heaven Summer of ‘69 One Night Love Affair It’s Only Love Are his other hits from the album👍🏼
One of the great Canadian acts of the 80s. You did "Summer of 69", back in July (so... not new to the channel, wink) which was great. "Run to You", was in fact his first #1 song. He also had big hits with "Cuts Like a Knife", "Somebody", "It's Only Love" (duet with Tina Turner!), "Heat of the Night", and "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You" (from the Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves movie with Kevin Costner). My personal faves are "Can't Stop This Thing We Started" and "Thought I'd Died and Gone to Heaven". Also... I don't think he was singing about his guitar. From Wiki: the track deals with the subject of infidelity, and is sung from the perspective of a man who declares that he will continue to "run to" his seductive mistress over his faithful partner.
They’ve done thousands and thousands of reactions, most of them while Amber was pregnant. It’s pretty damn amazing they remember any of them! I never miss any of their posts. I’ve definitely seen them all and I only remember, like a dozen at the most. That’s why they’re so great for repeat watching!! Lol. Like right now: * types “Rob Squad Summer of 69” . . . search 😀*
Brian Adams song “Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman” is a great song to play for your woman. It has a touch of flamenco in it too. Please check that one out!
Bryan Adams, a Canadian legend. So many songs. You’ll go down a rabbit hole. I’ve been to a few of his concerts and it’s amazing when you realize you know every song. One of my favourites is Heaven and another killer track is It’s Only Love, a duet with legend, Tina Turner.
I am Canadian. I have only recently subbed to your channel and I will say that this is one of the best channels out there. You not only like the music, but a great insight onto what the videos and or the music is about. Very classy and intelligent people that you are. So tuned into the music.
Bryan Adam's is a super great singer from Canada! This is one of my favorite song of the 80s! Not bad on the eyes neither! It was great to grow up in the 80s! I wish I could go back in a flash! !!!❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Heat of the Night is a lesser known song, but one of my favorites. I've seen Bryan in concert twice, once in the 80's and once in to 2000's. He still sounds great. The show in the 80's was opened by The Hooters. Check them out.
@@shaundgb7367 he just had a very successful residency in Vegas. The reason we haven’t heard from him is because he’s been focusing on photography for a few decades
The parent "Reckless" album was an absolute juggernaut in the US charts - 6 singles which all hit the US top 15! Easily Bryan's best work and the first ever Canadian album to sell more than 1m copies in Canada itself. Weirdly, the album's title track never appeared on the original album release, instead turning up 3 decades later on a 30th anniversary version of the album!
Bryan is Canadian, and being Canadian myself I got SO giddy when I saw you guys reacted to him. Such a voice, one of my favorite male singers of all time, This is definitely a rabbit hole you guys need to dive into; he has TONS more amazing songs to check ou. They include Everything I do (I do it for you), Summer of 69, Heaven, Please forgive me, Straight from the Heart, Have you ever really loved a woman, Thought I'd died and gone to heaven, When you're gone (a duet with Mel C of the Spice Girls), Lets make a night to remember, Do I have to say the words?, Cloud Number Nine, Somebody, Can't stop this thing we started, All for love (with Sting and Rod Stewart), Its only love (with Tina Turner), Cuts like a knife, The only thing that looks good on me is you, I finally found someone (duet with Barbara Streisand), There will never be another tonight. Lots to choose from!
For about a decade, starting in the early 80s, Bryan was one of the biggest acts in the world. A lot of hit songs, if you want to go down that rabbit hole.
A true Canadian icon and a national treasure There's at least 20 songs you could watch and really enjoy. I recommend Summer of 69, Straight From The Heart, Cuts Like A Knife and Somebody He also did an incredible duet with Tina Turner called It's Only Love
Bryan was definitely talking about about the girl. She is actually also featured in his ballad Heaven. A must watch video. I'm so excited you're reacting to Bryan - one of our most beloved Canadian treasures. With an almost 40 year career to delve into. If you want to dance right out of your chairs - you HAVE to do Kids Wanna Rock. It has the most incredible guitar riffs. Jordan you will LOVE it. Everything I Do and Do I Have to Say the Words are my two favorite ballads. Summer of 69 is probably his most popular. This Time and Cuts Like a Knife are from his very first album. You guys have a very deep rabbit hole to delve into. Have fun!! Hugs from Canada!!
*NEGATIVE*, Jeannie! He **WAS** talking about his guitar, as the lure of touring often disrupted his relationships-- The actress in this video was an Englishwoman, Lysette Anthony, most known for her roles as 'Princess Lyssa' in "Krull", 'Liz' in "Switch", and 'Lucy' in "Dead and and Loving It".... "Run To You" was released in 1984, and the subsequent "Heaven" was released in 1985 as a lament for having lost one special person... Mr. Adams asked Lysette to reprise her role from "Run To You" for the video-- (I know, because I worked as a DeeJay from 1983 to 1994, and was present backstage in Memphis, TN during his "Into The Fire" tour when Rolling Stone magazine did an interview with him where he stated as much !--)..... So I hope this prods you into 'doing your homework' a bit more, especially for a 'native son'!!-- Blessed Be, & Peace!!
She was in all the "Reckless Videos" ""A playlist of the videos from the 1984 Reckless video album, which watched in order tell the story of Bryan looking for and reuniting with his ex-girlfriend Natalie. 1: This Time 2: Summer of 69 3: Somebody 4: Kids Wanna Rock 5: Heaven 6: Run To You" ru-vid.com/group/PL0Ss6PLJtNhuGt7Lpd20zoFOl7TRkoMCq
I'll never understand these discussions. Any good song can mean whatever you want it to mean. Whatever it means to you the listener in your heart, mind, and soul.
Oooh one of my most favorite artists. Discovered him in the 80s as a teen. Please Forgive Me is lovely. He did a colab with sting and Rod Stewart called All for One in the 90s. It was for a musketeers movie but it sounds fantastic.
I love Bryan Adam’s, a Canadian rocker!! I especially loved the performance he did with Tina Turner at Live Aid of the song, It’s Only Love…check it out! The song could be a Double entendre, two Interpretations, both equally valid!❤️❤️
GREAT to see you two jamming on some Bryan Adams. He was HUGE back when I was in the Navy in the late 80's. He is still touring to this day. He's got a ton of great songs to react to. Summer of 69 is one of my favorite songs of his.
Finally you’re getting into the great Bryan Adams. One of the few artists whose voice is as good (or better) in live performances. Bryan has SO MANY GREAT SONGS! Slow and fast ones. I sure hope Bryan makes it into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame because he surely deserves it. I hope you do more reactions of his music.
This is my favorite Bryan Adams song! I used to put the top down and race down the road with this song blaring! I LOVE BRYAN ADAMS Try "Cuts Like A Knife" "Heaven", "Straight From the Heart", "Do I Have to Say the Words" "Everything I Do ( I Do It For You)" "Thought I'd Died and Gone to Heaven" "I Finally Found Someone" with Barbra Streisand
One of the best live shows I’ve ever attended was the Reckless anniversary tour. No opening act…..just 3 hours straight of Bryan Adams….a true Canadian icon/treasure !!!
The this song is about infidelity. The song is sung from the perspective of a man who declares that he will continue to "run to" his seductive mistress. In the music video the song portrays his guitar as the object of desire.
RSR, you did another of his bangers "Summer Of '69" 4 months ago. You'll love his ballads too!! Try his "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You" or "Please Forgive Me"
Great breakdown! I had never thought of him singing about his guitar, though I'd heard the song a million times, have the LP, and saw him do it in concert in his heyday. I like that analysis, although the one line in the song, "You're the woman always turns me on, keep comin' 'round still makes believe the worst lol. And not to nag, but I suggested his duet with Tina Turner awhile back, it's dynamite. You two are the most refreshing and down to earth couple on the internet, keep up the great work!
I just bumped into this review by you guys. I’ve been following you both for a while now. Glad you’re enjoying the great song. I was born in the 60’s, grew up in the 70’s and left home in the 80’s and the 80’s is my favorite decade for music, style, variety and the beginning of technology. Thank you.
Definitely about another woman! He’s in love with one woman but she is cold and has a side chick who he isn’t in love with but has but has an amazing sexual chemistry.
Bryan is a great performer... he has many many many hit songs... One of his ultimate ballads is "(Everything I Do) I Do For You". It was used is the movie Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. He has a number of love ballads... "Please Forgive Me" "Heaven"... "All For Love" which he sang with Rod Stewart and Sting for the movie The Three Musketeers. He has multiple albums that you can listen to front to back and not have a bad song on the album... Cuts Like a Knife... Reckless... Waking Up the Neighbors... each of them had 5+ hits off of them.
Summer of 69 live or everything I do it's the only way to watch it. Heaven. this time. And duet with Tina Turner and let's make a night to remember lol
Bryan Adams Rocks! But ... five words for you guys: 'Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing'!!! I know you'll both LOVE it! :) Happy Holidays, Amber, Jay and Family!! Hugs!!

This is a good song, but most of Bryan Adams's are more romantic and sigh worthy. And it doesn't showcase his vocals at all. It's not my favorite song by him but it's not bad. It just doesn't fit his personality. "Everything I do I do it for you", "When you really love a woman," and the trio of Adams, Sting, and Rod singing "All for One." That is a magical blend of voices!
You guys really need to do the music video of the band/ Five Finger Death Punch , and the song is called - wrong side of heaven. I THINK EVERY AMERICAN SHOULD WATCH THIS VIDEO !!!!!! This will get to you. #Help the troops
Bryan Adams did a duet with Tina Turner called It's Only Love. Good on a female friday. Other suggestions are Bjorks video It's Oh So Quiet, and Polly Jean Harvey's Sheela Na Gig.
He did a great duet with Tina Turner “It’s Only Love”, their voices really go well together, and the guitar riff in the song is really rockin'. Its well worth checking out. He still has a massive worldwide following and can still pack out arenas. His biggest hit was a movie soundtrack back in 1991 (Everything I do, I do it for you), a typical 90's ballad. It was number one in the UK pop charts for 16 weeks....I thought it would never end!!
I'm pretty sure he's talking about a woman. Especially when he says, "It's so damn easy makin' love to you." It's definitely NOT easy making love to a guitar. Don't ask me how I know. Just trust me. It hurts. ;)
Bryan put on one of the best concerts I have ever been to. He played practically nonstop for 2 hours. This was was his last stop on a long tour and after a couple of encores, he came out on stage, sat down at the edge, and took questions for the next 45 minutes. He is truly a class act
Great Reaction, as always! So fun to.hear you say my name! Lol. Wish I had his talent & $$$. I did meet him backstage after a Journey concert where he opened for them. I had him autograph my checks. He got a kick that we had the same name & spelling. More BA!
First, interesting thought/theory on the guitar, I can definitely see that angle. Very interesting. Second, excellent song, never gets old, it just works. 3rd, he’s def talking about a woman. 😁
I found this out from another reaction channel and I am not sure which order but, I think it Heaven then Run to You then Everything I I do and maybe one other tell a story if you watch them in the right order. It not often that a group can pull that off but YES IT ABOUT A GIRL.
I think the guitar interpretation is pretty cool, but he is singing about a girl. His duet with Tina Turner "It's only love" is spectacular. I also love two of his earlier tunes "Take me Back" and "Fits ya Good".
Sorry you're wrong. Adams himself has confirmed he running to a guitar... not a mistress. The lyrics clearly show that Bryan is cheating on his girlfriend. No, not with another girl. With his guitar. And no, he's not sleeping with or on his guitar; he's constantly at it, playing it so much it hurts his relationship with his girlfriend, thus, quintessentially, cheating on her.
Like everyone said... great .. great singer.. with loads of hits! I remember you guys reacting to Summer of 69... seen here..ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-w1Wi24nALuY.html it was great! I hope you do so many more reactions of Brian .. as his catalogue is vast and really.. really good!!
"Run to You" is a song by Canadian singer-songwriter Bryan Adams. It was released in 1984 as the lead single from his fourth album, Reckless (1984). The track deals with the subject of infidelity, and is sung from the perspective of a man who declares that he will continue to "run to" his seductive mistress over his faithful partner; critic Ira Robbins for CMJ called it a "cheating classic".[1] In the accompanying music video, however, Adams portrays his guitar as the object of desire. Both of you are on point every time! 👍🏻😁🏴
