A mini compilation of my favourite captured Deltic scenes which feature mostly D9009 Alycidon along side 55022 Royal Scots Grey and a single but brief view of D9016 Gordon Highlander on the rarest of trains. That famous Napier soundtrack provides an audible feast for those who love the sight and sound of a Class 55 Deltic. Many of those who were around to see the switchover from steam to Deltic will testify to the brilliance of these locos and Its a crying shame that these locomotives aren't as prevalent on the mainline as steam as the following for these class 55's are unrivaled. You'll have to excuse the quality of the video as these scenes were all captured before we acquired our 4K cameras so the images are not as sharp as our recent videos.
