It's kinda scary that Fred is getting bolder and doesn't let the boats spook him. I seriously think the problem is the locals and tourists keep feeding him. That's why some harbors and docks have a strict "DO NOT FEED" policy. It kinda unnerves me that in one of Alfred's videos, tourists at the dock to the left (by the cold weather storage spot) kept throwing food in just to get pictures of Fred and one foolish mom let her 10 year old kids walk along the bottom of the dock. Fred could EASILY have grabbed them by the leg. They have no idea how lucky they are that he's a pretty chill and laid back animal and tolerates sharing the dock with all those boats....

Yeah it's real good at providing that after a long day in the sun on the boat. Learned that growing up powerboating. Seen some things in life maybe a little to early 😂😂.

@@rebeccakeenan8101 aside from an emergency it shouldn’t ever take more than 5-8 minutes tops to launch or retrieve from the ramp. If you’re launching your boat it needs to be loaded with all your stuff before you ever get close to the ramp. Loading and unloading items at the ramp is like leaving your car at the gas pump while you go in to eat. There’s no reason whatsoever to do it short of just being a miserable ass.

It's like a busy gas station with all the pumps taken and a line formed. Then assholes go inside to grab a candy bar and leave their car sitting there at the pump.

I have seen trucks get pulled into the water there from the seaweed make no traction. The guy actually slammed the door and caused the wheels to break loose. He jumped on the door and went in with the truck. It sunk until just the tip of the antenna was 2 inches above the water.

@@keithscudder7136 - Almost every time I went out sailing, I'd lose blood on something sharp or pointy. Between no wind and having to motor, to having too much wind and being heeled over, all the work and maintenance and the minor injuries, I gave up. Too much pain for minimal gain.

I am sure you've seen, and dealt with many more sever and varying incidents than some other Law Enforcement Officer have ever seen. It's a whole different world on the waters.

Where I live on the Chesapeake Bay only small fishing and water ski boats launch at ramps.

Some people work and work but still cannot afford a slip , kids + thier college etc. I will get my slip one day just not this year

Up here in north central fl you have about 5 min to unload or load just the boat before you start getting a heckling , the only time the trailer and tow vehicle are on the ramp is to launch or load the boat and the dock is only for people getting on or off ,load or unload all your boat crap in the parking lot Out of the way !!!!
