Ben Duerr does about 6 different vocal techniques during the breakdown. There's a video of him doing it in one take, wearing flannel and jeans, and its one of the most musically impressive things I've ever watched.

It's Symphonic Deathcore. This is from their second album, back when they were a Halo themed band. Their 3rd album "Melancholy" is even better! Highly recommended!

About time someone got you to check out Shadow Of Intent. This band has the same guitarist as Currents (Chris Wiseman) and he pretty much writes all the music entirely himself for both bands, dude is crazy talented.

This band's thing, for the first few albums, is all Halo themed. I believe this song is about the fight between Arbiter and Master Chief (the Heretic) in Halo 2. Also, Shadow of Intent is the flagship of the Covenant Armada lol. Glad you got to this one!

Close, but this ones covers The Master Chief destroying the ring at the end of Halo CE. All the remaining songs cover Halo 2 the last song being the final battle between the Master Chief, Arbiter and Tartarus, the leader of the Brutes. Here is the final section: Why do you continue in strife, reclaimer? Surrender the construct and succumb to a painless end I shall never bow to a maddened tyrant I have destroyed the ring and declared my legacy Its the final interaction between 343 Guilty Spark (first 2 lines) and Master Chief (final 2 lines), where Master Chief stops the activation of the ring detonates the engines of The Pillar of Autumn, destroying the ring.

This band is HEAVILY influenced by the video game Halo. This song being about it. There named after the ship that drops the elites off to help you fight the flood in Halo 3 I believe. And that breakdown is one vocal track. Not multiple voices layered to sound like one. It’s. Just. One. Voice 😂😂

I pretty much had the same reaction when I first heard their music. They grew on me quick. Shadow of Intent is epic. Been looking forward to you hearing their music one day! You should definitely check out Malediction. Really anything off their recent album Melancholy would be a solid choice imo.
