I finally was able to open up to straddle a few weeks ago! It feels like I'm flying... Definitely resistance bands were a key factor when transitioning from tuck to advanced tuck to straddle because my body was able to learn how it felt staying in those positions without the full weight of my body

@@Xero-23 for a while I didn't have resistance bands either, and I mostly focused on pseudo leans with elevated feet on something like a yoga ball. In the end it really comes down to how often you are doing the exercises, how effective you perform them, and how much time you let your body heal (especially planche with the biceps tendons). I've trained it for a year now and just recently got the straddle. It's all about small improvements over time. Another suggestion is to record yourself so you can catch any mistakes in form and track your progress. Goodluck on your planche journey man!

I think I should try it. I mean I always leaned too much forward in order to get to the adv. tuck version, but I still stayed in that pelvic tilt and protracted scapula position. Thanks

I could only do a low tuck planche. Ive been training shoulders alot and planche leans and im still at that position and im starting to lose motivation. I even do the tuck planche with perfect form but as soon as my feet come off the ground i hold it for a sec then i break form and come back down.

hey broo take rest dayes and aleast abot 2 dayes a week and dont force ur body do it slowlyyy planche is a really long journey.. train ur shoulder slowly dont rush and rest good see u will grow up

Hi Artem, great video! I feel like my hips are holding back my progression with straddle planche (not shoulders), should I do half lays with bands instead?

I have very tight hips too (I can barely hold my legs at a 90° angle). What I found out that helps me is doing some elevated straddle leg extensions stomach to floor. Definitely improved how comfortable I feel keeping my legs in the straddle position and improved my flexibility too

Half lay can be even more stressful for hips, if we talk about immobility. Add mobility exercises in your workout.
