I actually had the pleasure of meeting Ian Sinclair in person at a convention one time, and idk if it was a joke or if he was serious, but he casually mentioned that a lot of the people in the recording studio thought he was having a mental breakdown in the recording booth while he was recording his lines as Berkut. Which, honestly, I can see that being real. All in all, he was a good guy, phenomenal performance here.
Honestly, Ian Sinclair might be one of the most underrated VAs on terms of popularity. He gives 110% in all his performances and usually is the standout in my opinion.
I remember him mentioning something similar in a written interview, that the people he was recording his lines with had to ask if he was okay because he was going so hard on the performance lmao. love him for it though.
Sukuna At least Wendee Lee did a better job at casting the voices than Kris Zimmerman-Salter did with Fates. Several her casting choices were not good. Notably, Hinoka, Selkie, Male Kana, Anthony, Felecia (more like 50/50, Julianne Alexander was much better as Catria), Nyx, and Effie.
this is a shame tho, because I really like berkut. I wanted to make a team with berkut, xander, sonya and takumi, but now I have to switch berkut for camus. Still,my berkut will be a 5* someday
Hes usuable in horse emblem just use 3 ward cavalry's and hes basically indestructible combine it with distant counter to use his weapon if you really wanted to and quick riposte and you basically have camus 2.0 but much tankier. problem is you need to sack a hector to make him good.
While everyone is talking about how awesome Berkut's voice actor was and deserves an oscar, or how people are going to change their ringtones for their uncle. I'm over here thinking "that is a very specific title to a video"
I love how being upfront and honest with titles/thumbnails is better than lying/clickbait. It’s almost more efficient to be lazy and carefree sometimes.
@@christopherchasteen4990 "Berkut, Desaix is under attack by the evil forces of Mila. I'm going to Zofia to aid him." "But what if something happens to you?" "I'll take the Falchion Beta to protect me. If you don't hear from me in a month, send Zeke."
It's astounding how well an old story can hold up when properly expanded upon in a good remake. They expand and add to it, and yet none of the additions weaken anything about it, only making it stronger than ever.
DarkheroNateX Echoes gameplay was better than Awakening and Fates imo. I was iffy about the removal of skills but lets face it, skills are broken. This new gameplay is actually challenging as a result.
Actually, I'll agree, the gameplay in Echoes was a bit of a step down. Map design in Gaiden was... lacking, shall we say, and Echoes didn't do a whole lot to improve it. The Mercenary->Myrmidon->Dread Fighter line is blatantly the best due to having effectively infinite levels available to it due to being able to promote back into Villager, and outside of Dungeons, you can take literally all of your characters in each group to every fight, meaning you're never really encouraged to start dropping characters from your roster unless they're really getting screwed in their levels. Archers are blatantly overpowered, with the two default archers you get (Leon and Python) only being mediocre because their stats and growths are garbage; but still entirely usable by sheer virtue of being archers. I could go on if I tried, but this is all for off the top of my head.
TIL that Ian Sinclair, VA for Berkut, also voiced Professor Nakayama, Jimbo Hodunk, and Baron Flynt from the Borderlands series. Huh, never thought two of my favorite game series would meet in one place.
"Emperor Rudolf constantly worried about his nephew, Berkut, and his future." Emperor Rudolf: (coldly walks out while his nephew is having a mental breakdown)
Omega Imperialis There was some great voice acting in 3H, the most standout to many being Dimitri but Berkut will always be by far the best voice acting in Echoes, a game with amazing voice acting to begin with and in my personal top 3 favourite performances in the FE series thus far.
