That log rollin, juuuust touching the smaller tree and coming to rest on the bucked rounds was the most satisfying minute of film I have watched this year, I would have done a little dance!
When you said you enjoyed our company today, you put a big smile on my face 😊 Thank you for sharing your hopes and thoughts with us, and for your message of love, kindness, and honesty. Keep the light shining! 😊✊🏻🌲🌳❤️
Loved this video it's so fun pulling logs out of the bush with a truck. Mostly Toyota land cruisers or Nissan patrols here in Australia but my grandpar had a f100 ford V8. And that was cool rig .
Thanks for sharing Buckin’. I myself can identify with the love for a truck that battle has been won in. My GMC is sleepy but I love her and she’s still hauling wood and chips. I’m grateful the universe lets me make a living from running a chain saw and swinging a axe. It’s the glue that holds me together physically, spiritually, and mentally. Thanks Buckin’
I think the word you may be looking for is "kinetic energy" but like you, I'm more apt to utilize my ropes back in the day... great content Billy Ray,...be safe pardner... :)
Back in the day big saws was heavy we've become not smarter but inavated I want to have a saw 8 horses weight 15 lbs have a good day I like watching your stuff
Hey Buckin' am I seeing a bunch of maple leaves on that forest floor? You are 100% correct. It's beautiful in there, especially this time of year. So much color. Yeah keep yer eyes out for 'ol blackie. Thanks that was fun to watch.
Hey Buckin! Sometimes bad things happen to good people, just know Gods hand is in suffering too and we don’t know his plan. At the end of the day we all have that walk with him and there’s no hiding. Peace
Good hard work has taught me so much more than anything else. I believe it prepares you for many different challenges you will face in life. Man that 125 is a brute!
Howdy Buckin'.... Love watching your videos.... so very inspirational - (as well as educational and entertaining) 🤠 thank you!!! Safe travels, friend ❤❤ Stay FROSTY... Keep your powder dry and your head on a swivel... 🇺🇸🇨🇦WWG1WGA🇺🇸🇨🇦NCSWIC🇺🇸🇨🇦
your quite right with your ending words been kind has bought me much luck through life, started watching you as im now back processing a lot of fire wood for ourselves and stayed because your such a joy to experience
Buckin, I mean it. My old man (God rest’im) was the one slinging the Macs when I was a kid. I moved brush…and wood? …stacked it, split it, hauled it, wheelbarrowed it, etc. Watched as he worked block, rope, etc. Upstate NY. The woods…matter. Much love to you, sir. Thank you.
Awesome episode, outstanding work, priceless message! Love & Kindness from NC. 🙂 P.S. I'm ordering one of those new hoodies with the great logo for Christmas!
Another SERVING heart, from West Virginia! God bless you BR..... Actions are always stronger than words, and you depict exactly that! Practice what you preach! I have not been very good at that in the past, but thanks to you, I am getting better!!! "MUCH LOVE"
Buckin your a very good person .luv your channel. I have learned so much from your content .God bless you 🙏 and your family. ED IN SOUTHERN WEST VIRGINIA.
Awesome video buckin, thank you for sharing your knowledge, passion, kind words, and for sharing the scenery. My boy (age 4) and I sit down together before bed and check out what’s new on the channel just about every night
Fun and games in the bush Making me homesick bro... I got another week up here in Fort Mac then I'll back on the island where I belong. Top of the malahat❤ stay safe and be well my friend🤠👍👍
So I’m a little late to the party but I’m getting your vibes. I gave up drinking less than a year ago and my mind is finally starting to clear. I just turned 70 in August. And let’s say with the clarity and focus and my age and experience everything is falling into place. I can figure out things where before they were clouded. Peace be with you and all your friends 👍🏼🙏
BBR!! great content brother!! Love how ya layed er on them firewood rounds to makenit easier to work up!! Great plan!!! You make it look so fun, and enjoyable😊 thanks for sharing it with all of us❤ love from my family to yours brother, your a hard workin, honest man🪓🪓🪵🌲🌳🤝👊🫵
Aint nuthin like the free bush and free blow downs to please your wood stove😊 Just the other day I was cruisin old fire roads up here in far northern Wisconsin and found three old growth Sugar Maples , main lower trunk off the ground thanks to the root ball 🤙
hey Buckin, I'm real happy for all your success in life and on youtube. It's Brendon from Coquitlam across the pond. I've watched and learned so much from almost all your videos. I'm not a seasoned faller like yourself but I love using my modded 365 xtorq with a 36" bar. Base gasket delete and chewed out the side baffles etc. It's so much safer and easier buckin with a long bar plus everyone I show my saw to almost shits themselves. Please keep up your hard work making great tutorial videos that are so inspiring and motivational. And super entertaining. Please keep it up with your mom and the drums too.
I love seeing you work those old saws, it takes me back to my childhood when I would see all the local loggers pull through the store after work, Ford and Dodge crew cabs full of loggers and chainsaws! I have a few of those old saws, and I just got given 3 more old Stihls(I get the old stuff for working on his Huskys), but when I hit the bush, I only take my modern saws, no time to play when there is fire wood to make. Just down the road is a mid 70's Ford crew cab 2wd, if you can't find parts closer to home, I could check it out for you, it should be very cheap. May God bless you for all you do for others.
16:23 Same reason nylon strap or rope is better for pulling stuck vehicles out than is chain. The elasticity of the strap/rope and the subsequent sling shot effect.
A tree only goes to rot if nobody wants to put in the work to get it, that's what i love about your channel, your willing to do what it takes to get the job done, safely and efficiently and you educate the young men out there, great job and god bless.
I got an old 710 McCuloch I have to figure out how to work on it. My best friend left it to me just before he died. So I must fix it. Its a interesting saw that I apreciate. I might have to take it to a saw shop.
A good tip I learned from buckin with any older saw before ya run it is to bring the exhaust off and check for carbon build up in the exhaust ports the 2 stroke oil has improved over the years have seen exhaust ports nearly completely blocked with carbon build up it’s a hard black substance if a bit gets inside the cylinder it can do serious damage to the engine I would say it’s probably the best place to start when restoring a older saw it can be difficult finding parts for the older machines if ya got one ya love it’s handy to have a old carcass laying around for the parts always have my eyes open for mac carcasses lol good luck with her any questions just fire away Peace&love ✌️❤️🌲🪵🪓🐝
@@MATT.MAN-PEACE-LOVE Thanks for the tip I got to figure out haw to get it apart no videos have I found yet on this subject. I can probably get the exhaust off no probem. I will do that.
@@shartne the macs usually have these metal brackets on the exhaust that bend over the heads of the bolts to stop them coming undone lightly tap with a flat head screwdriver to straighten the tabs it will allow you to get a wrench on the heads of the bolts. ✌️❤️🌲🪵🪓🐝
Great video. I surely like watching how you get the logs moved and out. The chainsaw work is great too, but, I surely like the rigging that you do to move things. It’s just amazing. I had a cousin in Ottawa that would love to be there doing that. Sadly he’s been passed away for 15 years. But obviously, I still think of him. He and I did a lot of things together, many years ago. It was fun. I live in PEI, Canada. 🇨🇦 Have a great day. 🪵🪓🔥👋👍🏻🇨🇦☕️🚜
One thing I've noticed those trees aren't roped with poison oak and ivy like we have here in NC ,especially some of the species of hardwood we have. Just the forest floor is gets covered. The rash from that mess can spread to places you didn't know you had. Lol
When I moved onto some acres back in 99 there was more poison ivy than you could shake a stick at. My goal was to erraticate, remove and destroy as much as I could. Got poison ivy rashes 16 times that summer. Took homeopathic remedies and large amounts of vitamin C. Became an expert in recognizing the itchy weed anywhere I'd go. And now 23 years later i dig it up with a digging fork and let the roots dry up in the sun or toss it in black trash bags for the trash. People are overjoyed when it doesn't come back the next spring. ✅
Brilliant educational video Buckin, thanks. Igot a 1ton Nissan flat deck new in 2000.still driving it 500000 on the clock. No probs to date. I can see how you feel about your trucks. People have given up trying to buy mine off me. Thanks for all the good advice over the years mate. Cliffy from Haumoana Hawkes Bay N Z.
32:38 I quit worrying about buying new saws and refurbished my old ones (one is a 40 yo John Deere/Echo) since you were running so many of those old McCullough saws, which my dad had (we kids called it the "put-put zoom!" saw 😂). They are fine for ranch work. I'm surely glad you mentioned using those older ones because that is why I work on mine. Just rebuild the carb on a 20yo Husqy and used it today. Cut some dead, semi-dry mesquite, 2400-2600 Janka.
I know what you mean with the feel of some older saws. Often the torque is thicker at a lower RPM and the power is lower at high RPM in comparison to new pro saws. It's the feel of the torque band that I believe you're referring too. Definitely a feel thing
If you tie a snub knot or friction knot on the truck, then when you get stuck or run out of pull you can then undo the knot and let the weight down under tension
Bucking B! Hi from Scotland!! Couple of questions. Can I ask what's your bonsai next to the screen please? And where did you get your trouser braces! and what knots do you use. Thank you, I just found you on boxing day and I appreciate how your experience makes your life easy when you are faced with issues, loved the way you cut that suspended tree then just rolled back out of the problem. Class right there.
