This song is a continuation of the storyline from "Tag, You're It" after Cry Baby was kidnapped. In this song, Cry Baby is so distraught that something in her snaps and she kills her kidnapper with poisonous milk and cookies. She wears black to symbolize his impending death, since black is commonly worn at funerals, and sarcastically mentions how good she looks in it. Originally, the song was about a girl killing her boyfriend with poisonous milk and cookies. Melanie once described the song as a "weird sequel" to "Dead To Me," with the latter being about planning out the murder and the former about actually carrying it out. The song has a general theme of taking revenge.
Thank you so much for reacting to this one! On the previous reaction I was like nauur y’all have to react to both of them in order to understand so thank youu!
This song is a continuation of "Tag, You're It". Despite the Music Video showing Crybaby trying to get away from The Big Bad Wolf, who is her kidnapper, the song has a dark meaning. The line of the song, "Do you like my cookies? They're made just for you. A little bit of sugar, but lots of poison, too" is supposed to foreshadow about the way she killed her kidnapper and got away from him (by giving him expired milk and poisoned cookies).
You reaction videos to Melanie Martinez are like an eagerly anticipated series for me. Lol I am particularly excited knowing that you still have many more of her videos to watch and react.
Thank you for listening to Melanie!! Can you also listen to million man by Melanie Martinez? It's not in this journey of songs but had so much impact on me as a little girl.
Crybaby wasnt capture on purpose by the Wolf, but the lady in the store knowed something was foing to happend to her and also had the same Black eyes of the nurse in the First song crybaby, since u guys are not following the hole story in order I will resume It: Crybaby was born in a caotic familly as we see in dollhouse, in sipcup her mother kills the father and mistress in rage because of her husband always keeling her drunk, specially as her son had died somehow probably because of the weed he use to smoke or others drugs. When her mother go kill crybaby, she actually snaps out of It and only put her to sleep and leave, letting her alone in the house. The next musics in the album are "carousel" "alphabet boy" "soap" and "training wheels", where we see crybaby in her love life with a boy who doesnt care about her, but she's trapped in that relationship because shes desperately trying to find love. The next one is pity party where she gets really mad because of her party ruined and in the start of tag your it, we can see she trowing out the rest of the decoration of the party, the lady in the store helped crybaby scape in Milk and cookies using the venon and also she is supose to be the one who called the wolf in the phone to distract him when tge song says "think fast as he grabs the phone". Next is pacify her where crybaby still is trying to get a man and she is starting to have her powers showing up, but its only in mad hatter that she fully accept herself as she is, beautyfull, crazy and with a great imagination, thats the moment her eyes turn black in the end and her powers are full awake, we she was passinh out we saw the nurse and the shop lady with her, because the black eyes mean to be "teddy bear eyes", they both have powers and knew since crybaby birth that she was foing to have lots of trouble in her life and would need help because she is on of them, they knew the would suffer as much as they did in the past until she can accept herself. Them the story goes for k-12 album where we see much more about her power and other girls who also have them
The joke at the end by Eric was GOLD and so clever because of the video! You guys are amazing! So glad I found you guys through one of my favorite artists.
Been binge watching your melanie videos and a funny little thing i noticed is how Eric has a different little silly wierd looking cup each time and idk i just love that
Side note: the instrumental thats playing in the beginning inside of the Icecream truck is Melanies unreleased collab with Snow Tha Product titled "I-Scream." Would check that song out aswell.
Hi! My favourite Melanie songs are Soap, A million men, Play date and Orange juice. I would love it if you reacted to one of those next. A million men especially, is very heavy and sad.
I think A Million Men is an unreleased song. Melanie has said she doesn't like people listening to her unreleased music, and encourages her fans not to.
@amaikarai5007 That might be true, actually. In that case, they shouldn't react to it on the channel. It's a shame, though, because I think it is a really good song. But there are plenty of other good Melanie songs to listen to.
Still commenting about how I can't wait to see you review anything from Portals. But *please* try and tackle it chronologically cause it'll make much more sense haha
uh thanks, now I will miss my ex XDDDD hilarouis. and I think sweet hip hop head nailed it. the icecream was poisoned,, the guy followed her. The girl in the shop, you will see in K-12, is her good friend and I think it was her, who called the wolf. The friend has her magic powers already, what you can see with the black eyes, that symbolism somekind of witchcraft in the crybaby storys. Extided to see more of your reactions und the crybaby story and wish a good day. Greetings the crazy dove
Hi❤, I'm new here, came from the Melanie and Black pink reactions. I searched and saw ya'll haven't done any Aurora reactions and I would love to see ya'll go down that rabbit hole. Or even Askniko.
You guys should react to Genesis by RAYE The lyrics are so deep, impactful, and her story is so relatable and inspiring and the visuals are top tier . ❤
