By them saying "List X site" he is referring to the company has a been put on a list by government and and been categorised with a by the contents or work being done on site. The only effect it has is for the contractors or workers accessing specific areas or information without the right promissions. It was a bunch of waffle to try keep you away.

That's always my argument. If it's so secret (commercially sensitive/toxic/explosive etc.) then you should have measures in place to protect it.

And one of those questions has to be 'Where are you getting your information from?' My guess would be mates from the local pub.

The regulations surrounding private security are laws that are totally unenforced. For instance, laws that if broken require years long jail sentences are broken by nearly everyone with a licence. It's totally insane.

List x site are ones that have been government approved for work on projects deemed secret or above .

I literally visit hundreds of sites and businesses every year, chemical producers, oil and gas, refineries, nuclear power stations et cetera And whenever you go to some of the smaller silly places, they always think that they are super shit hot with all of the health and safety and that they are at the top of the game I just sit there and smile, knowing that they’re just playing at it and most of their health and safety procedures. Risk assessments, method statements are just halfarsed efforts to keep them out of trouble with the insurance companies

To be fair it's not in "advertising, publicity or exhibition material". I don't think it's specifically forbidden to talk about it, although as the list itself is protectively marked there may be an offence in revealing the status of part of the list.

Vlos: definitely keep it. If you look at the screen for a moment then look back at your drone - if you cannot immediately find it and see which way its facing then that's not vlos. Just my advice. If you are just starting out don't rush into flying at night. For night flying unless you are low and near you will more likely need to illuminate it in some way. I don't usually post my methods here because it will just end with people breaking their drones whilst trying to modify them for night vlos😂
